After watching a TV program featuring purple sea urchin, we visited looking forward to the dining experience. The cuisine, making the most of Amakusa’s abundant natural bounty, was far beyond our expectations—truly outstanding. We also appreciated the thoughtful explanations about the ingredients and stories about the producers, and enjoyed a wonderful time with the paired drinks. Dinner enjoyed while watching the beautiful sunset is a special memory we will never forget. A stylish and comfortable Room, an Onsen with ocean views, and breathtaking scenery right before our eyes—everything was exceptional and deeply relaxing. Most memorable of all was the warm hospitality of your staff, who clearly love Amakusa. Their desire to share Amakusa’s charm and ensure every guest truly enjoys their stay came through in every detail, and thanks to their attentive care we felt comfortable throughout. This was the Accommodation I had wanted to stay at on my first trip to Yamaguchi Prefecture. The Accommodation was very clean and quiet, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. The Room was spacious, and the view of the reflecting pool from the terrace was beautiful. The open-air bath in the Room had free-flowing natural hot spring water, which felt wonderful. At the bar lounge, I enjoyed complimentary drinks while chatting with the staff and had a great time. I highly recommend this Accommodation for anyone looking to spend a relaxing stay for a special anniversary or simply to unwind and forget about everyday life.

This was my first stay, and just as everyone says, it was a truly wonderful Accommodation. The food was delicious, the Onsen water was silky-smooth, the staff were great, everything in the fridge was free, and the price was reasonable. The view was beautiful and very relaxing. The floors throughout the Ryokan were comfortable to walk on barefoot, making it feel like home. I completely understood why rolling suitcases are not allowed. I could really appreciate the owner’s attention to detail, and I thought it was wonderful. The location was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

The Onsen facilities, meals, and service were all excellent. Since we stayed on a hot day, I was worried the Onsen spa might feel too warm, but because it was up in the mountains, the breeze was cool and it was comfortable. The meal was delicious French cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. All the staff were friendly and helpful in many ways. We stayed for my mother’s birthday, and she was very happy. It’s a Hotel I’d love to stay at again if I have the chance!

The guest room was very clean, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy the semi-open-air bath. We also made a Reservation for the sake pairing Plan, and they suggested many types of sake that matched our preferences, which made it a wonderful experience. We stayed during the Marine Day three-day weekend.\nIt was a hot, sunny day, but upon arrival we were greeted warmly and impressed by the smooth valet parking—truly the quality you’d expect from a luxury Accommodation.\nThe front desk procedures and guidance were clear and courteous. We were shown to our Room with care, and both the in-room amenities and the private open-air bath were spacious. The natural Onsen water was crystal clear, allowing us to relax and unwind at length. Dinner was a kaiseki course that felt far beyond “standard”—everything was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, and we especially enjoyed comparing different types of Yaizu’s famous shaved bonito flakes. We reluctantly prepared to leave and checked out.\nThis is an Accommodation we definitely want to plan a Reservation for again next time.

Everything was excellent—no complaints at all. It was a truly memorable Hotel. The food in particular was outstanding; it may have been the best of any place we’ve stayed so far. Not only was it delicious, but the portions were generous—we’re big eaters, and even we left completely full. The Room was also wonderful, with a lovely view of Lake Biwa. Simply the best. To prove it, as soon as we got home we made another Reservation for the crab course—it's six months away, but we’re already excited to enjoy your料理 again. We arrived a little early, kindly left our car, and took a stroll around the area. Right away, we visited Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya Shrine next door. In the backstreets of this historic townscape, you can find Onsen springs here and there—perfect for wandering at leisure. Both inside and outside the property felt very clean, showing careful management throughout. The staff’s smiles, service, and conversation were all refined; we truly felt their hospitality and attentiveness, which made our stay very comfortable. From the Room we stayed in—named “Kirishima”—we enjoyed a view of the grove surrounding Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya Shrine, full of charm and atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast featured local ingredients, and everything was delicious. We could also sense how dedicated the staff were, which made dining even more enjoyable. Bathing in the panoramic large public bath while looking out over the townscape glowing at dusk was exceptional. The water was a gentle Onsen that seemed to softly cling to the skin. Although it wasn’t in our original plans, we stopped by Harmo Museum about 7–8 minutes away by car after receiving a recommendation as we checked out. Driving along the well-maintained lakeside of Lake Suwa and enjoying wonderful paintings became a great memory for us. It was a truly relaxing Accommodation for adults—wonderful in every way. Due to bad weather, we changed our travel destination and ended up staying here at short notice as a family of five. Everyone except the person who made the Reservation wasn’t very enthusiastic until we arrived, but our stay here won them over and they were extremely satisfied. We felt truly relaxed by the meals, the atmosphere of the Room, and the hospitality. Personally, I was thrilled to find several types of Isamu Noguchi lighting in the traditional Japanese house-style Room. Next time, I’d love to spend time here during the rainy season or when the fresh greenery is at its best.

This is what a great Accommodation should be. It met my expectations—and exceeded them. From the complimentary herb-infused water made with herbs from the garden to the various cordial syrups and even a sake bath, every detail was thoughtfully considered.
