Built in 1604 by Terumoto Mori after the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, Hagi flourished as a castle town. Additionally, Iwaki Yumoto Onsen is a rare type of "Sulfur-containing Sodium Chloride Sulfate Onsen" in The whole country. Its history dates back to the Nara period, making it one of Japan's three oldest hot springs. With an abundant flow rate of 5 tons per minute, the water is drawn up from 50 meters underground.
