I visited during the rainy season, a time I don’t usually choose. Both dinner and breakfast featured exquisite dishes that felt refreshingly cool to the eye and captured the early-summer atmosphere, lifting the gloom of the rainy skies. What makes this Accommodation truly exceptional is being able to enjoy outstanding cuisine at any time, thoughtfully crafted to reflect the season through sight, aroma, and taste. I also deeply appreciate the warm, friendly hospitality shown by all of the staff.

As our daughter reached the age for her Coming-of-Age celebration, we stayed here as a family of four to mark the occasion. From the very beginning, we were impressed by the warm welcome and being served matcha tea and sweets. Although it’s close to Dogo Onsen, the property offers a beautiful, spacious, and tranquil atmosphere—truly a luxurious annex just as described. There are famous paintings and exquisite Lladró ornaments throughout, making every moment feel blissful! The Onsen was wonderful as well! We would love to visit again on another special occasion.

Our adults-only family stay was wonderful. With spacious beds, a Room featuring an open-air Onsen bath, and a location overlooking Matsuyama Castle, we ended up spending a lot of time relaxing in the Room. The amenities were excellent, including the in-room hair dryer (it was a ReFa), and every detail was thoughtfully arranged to eliminate the little stresses that can come with traveling. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and generously portioned, and we truly felt the warm hospitality throughout our stay. As a souvenir, we bought the diffuser that scented the property; its fresh citrus fragrance still brings back memories of our lovely time here even after returning home. Thank you very much. This is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Dogo Onsen.

I was completely satisfied with this Accommodation! This was my first stay here. After reading Reviews in advance, I saw comments saying it was like a “stink bug Accommodation,” so I braced myself. But it wasn’t like that at all—there were a few stink bugs, but for an Accommodation surrounded by nature, having some insects is only to be expected, and it didn’t bother me. I almost felt sorry that the staff kept apologizing for the stink bugs. The food was absolutely delicious, and I’m very grateful that they sincerely accommodated an unexpected situation where I had to step away in the middle of the meal. The Room had a calm atmosphere with plenty of traditional Uchiko washi paper used throughout, and I was able to relax deeply. Breakfast also had a fun concept where you can compare three different types of eggs—I loved it! This is an Accommodation I’d gladly go out of my way to stay at again!

We stayed here as a family of four during summer vacation. We chose the No Meals Included plan because we planned to enjoy street food along Dogo Onsen’s Haikara Street, and it turned out to be an outstanding stay: everything was spotless, the Onsen was excellent, the futons were very comfortable, and access to Haikara Street was great. Above all, the staff worked seamlessly as a team and responded quickly and courteously—it was truly impressive. Our whole family agreed we were lucky to find such a wonderful Accommodation. This time we booked No Meals Included, but the Ryokan meals also looked delicious, so next time we’d like to stay with meals included. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again. Iya Bijin is an Accommodation famous for soba. I had carelessly forgotten this, and since my son has a severe buckwheat allergy, we made a last-minute request to remove all foods related to soba. During our stay, they took great care with the meals, and both dinner and breakfast were wonderful—such as ayu sashimi and dekomawashi—and my son ate so much it surprised even us. Of course, he had no allergic symptoms at all. Thank you very much.

We visited for a family trip to celebrate our daughter’s marriage. As it was formerly an art museum, we were overwhelmed by the meticulously designed building by Tadao Ando and the many artworks displayed throughout the property. The Room was extremely comfortable, and the pool we had been looking forward to was wonderful—we were able to fully enjoy this extraordinary space. We expected Western cuisine, but instead were delighted by beautifully refined Japanese dishes. The drink pairings matched to each course were perfect, and every dish moved us. The congratulatory wedding cake we had ordered was also truly delicious and became a wonderful keepsake. We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality of all the staff. This is a superb Hotel where architecture, art, and food are all in harmony, and we would love to stay again.

First of all, the Hotel staff were absolutely outstanding! At mealtimes, we could dine while listening to the hostess sing, and her calm, soothing voice was truly relaxing. The food was also delicious—local specialties were incorporated beautifully, and we enjoyed every course without ever getting tired of it. And the open-air bath with a sky-high view was incredible! The scenery was breathtaking, and both body and mind were able to unwind completely. I’m truly glad I found a Hotel that made me want to come back. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

This is what a great Accommodation should be. It met my expectations—and exceeded them. From the complimentary herb water made with herbs from the garden to the various cordial syrups and even a sake bath, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The olive kaiseki dinner left a strong impression of Shodoshima. I truly hope to return.

After watching the Awa Odori, our family of four stayed here. We couldn’t find anywhere in Tokushima City with two Rooms available, so we chose this place by elimination—but we were very satisfied. The Rooms were connected Rooms, with two Rooms linked by an internal door when opened. The beds were bunk beds, which our kids found really fun and enjoyed a lot. The bath was available until 9:30 a.m., so even though we checked in at 11:30 p.m., we could relax and enjoy it. The water had a slightly salty quality and the temperature was just right—excellent overall. Breakfast focused on organic ingredients and was served buffet-style; everything was delicious. We hadn’t heard of this Hotel before, but it was clean and very nice. We’d definitely like to stay again if we have the chance.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming with warm smiles. The Room was a bit small, but considering the price, it was good value and very clean. The only disappointment was that the bath did not seem to have continuously flowing water. As a minor note, the plastic bag for laundry was hidden under the hair dryer bag, so it took a little time to find it.

Conveniently located near Dogo Onsen Station, the view from the Room was great, with Dogo Onsen Honkan and Matsuyama Castle visible. The window glass had a pattern, so it would have been even better if it were completely clear. The Room was clean and comfortable, with a nice sense of cleanliness. The large public bath on the top floor was also very relaxing, and I especially recommend the open-air bath! We used the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, and there were many local dishes and unique items—everything was delicious. Dinner was a half-buffet, but we were very full, so I thought it would be nice to have a Plan with buffet only (it may already exist...). Also, I’d be happy if there were mandarin orange juice at breakfast! It was also great to have live piano music in the evening.

All staff were wonderful and attentive. Thank you for accommodating my husband’s dietary preferences. The food was delicious, and the beautiful tableware made it a feast for the eyes as well. The Room was lovely, and the bath was spacious, allowing us to relax and enjoy the Onsen at our leisure—we were impressed by everything. Thank you very much.

The Room was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the large public bath was great. However, since there was only one elevator, it got very crowded during peak check-in and check-out times, and we sometimes had to wait quite a while, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the hallway was hot—I wish there had been air conditioning in the corridors as well. Still, considering the value for money, it’s an excellent Hotel! I’d love to stay here again when I visit Imabari.

We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s birthday. As I was traveling with my elderly mother, I hesitated until the very last minute about whether it was wise to go far. But because she loves Onsen so much, I decided to make the trip in hopes of making her happy. Even though it was a last-minute Reservation, when I told you it was for my mother’s birthday, you responded quickly and courteously. Your warm message—“All of our staff will do our very best to make it a memorable day”—truly meant a lot to me. We were also looking forward to enjoying the baths at Dogo Onsen and the meals, and above all, seeing how happy my mother would be on the day. After we arrived at the Accommodation, everything exceeded our expectations: delicious food, soothing baths, and most of all the wonderful hospitality from your staff. The birthday surprise for my mother was a huge success!!! She was so happy she even cried. The property was spotless and beautifully maintained. The expansive garden filled with lush greenery was especially breathtaking! Thank you so much for giving our family such an unforgettable and special time. We will definitely return.

The staff’s hospitality, the cleanliness of the Room, the delicious meals, and the large public bath—everything was wonderful, and we had a truly lovely time. They even lent us towels and parasols for going to the outside baths, and we really appreciated their thoughtful attention to every detail. I had always wanted to try “tap” mandarin orange juice, but I never expected to experience it at a Hotel—what a delightful surprise. Every dish in the kaiseki dinner was delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of items, all of them tasty, and our child was thrilled and ate plenty as well. If we have another chance to stay in Dogo Onsen, we would definitely like to stay here again! Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

My spouse, our younger daughter, and my 88-year-old mother stayed for one night. The arrival briefing was thorough and easy to understand, and whenever we had questions—at any time and in any place—the staff always responded accurately and courteously. What made us happiest was celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday at the restaurant: they kindly treated us to a special dish with sea bream, red rice, and sake. They also provided my husband with a purple outfit and took a commemorative family photo for us. It became a wonderful celebration, and we were deeply moved by the restaurant team’s thoughtful hospitality. The food was excellent, especially the fresh seafood. We also really enjoyed the Awa Odori event.\nThanks to everyone at the Hotel and restaurant, it was a truly memorable trip, and we are sincerely grateful.

Although it is a traditional Onsen Ryokan, it was thoroughly cleaned and felt very fresh and spotless, so we had a comfortable stay throughout. The meals were also delicious for both breakfast and dinner. A male staff member in the dining area was very kind and gave us detailed information about the sightseeing spot we planned to visit the next day, including how to get there, walking time, and parking. We would love to stay again!!

I had heard that my parents, who are from Ehime, used to stay here when they returned home. When my mother passed away, our family made a Reservation the day before. We were truly grateful that you prepared an offering meal for my mother both in the Room and at mealtimes. Although the staff member in charge was young, they treated us with just the right sense of distance. As there were six of us, you arranged a spacious tatami dining room for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious cuisine. I did feel that the selection of alcoholic drinks was a little limited. I thought it would have been even better with more wine options or easy-to-drink sours. Breakfast was wonderful! There was nothing too heavy for the morning—thick-cut salmon, rolled omelet, yudofu tofu, and more— a menu so satisfying that I ended up having another bowl of rice. The “Jinchoge” Room was fun—when we opened doors that felt like something out of a ninja house, it was “here too,” and “here too.” While more and more innovative Accommodations are appearing these days, this is an Accommodation that steadfastly preserves traditional charm and protects Dogo. Especially in times like these, I sincerely hope it will continue to remain. I no longer have any particular reason to visit Ehime, but I would love to return so I can feel close to my parents again. As a truly secluded Onsen, the drive to get there was challenging, but it was a wonderful Accommodation well worth the effort. Surrounded by abundant nature, even the wait for the cable car was enjoyable as we took in the gorge views and watched small birds. We also used the private bath first thing in the morning and were able to fully enjoy the Onsen while embraced by quiet nature—it was truly an exceptional moment. All of your staff are wonderfully international, and rather than striving for perfection, each person’s sincere, heartfelt work came through, which made us feel very warm inside. At dinner, you kindly changed our table to a window seat, and we enjoyed delicious dishes along with the beautiful scenery. My European husband was also very satisfied. Next time, we would love to return during the autumn foliage or snowy season. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.
