We stayed as a group of three—my mother, my wife, and myself—to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday. We had requested slightly smaller portions, and the meals were still more than satisfying; we were able to relax and enjoy them at a leisurely pace. As a surprise, the staff gave us a heartwarming celebration for her 88th birthday, and I’m truly grateful that it allowed me to show my appreciation to my mother in a meaningful way. We truly felt your wonderful service and hospitality throughout our stay. The location, the meals, the baths, and all of the staff were genuinely excellent. You even prepared kaiseki cuisine for our 9-year-old son and accommodated a change to our breakfast time. This time, since I wanted an Onsen close to Yonago Airport, I chose Kaike Onsen. I was satisfied with the Room, the Onsen, and the meals. However, upon arrival: There was only one person at the front desk, and no one came to greet me at the entrance. (For some reason, when I left they saw me off the whole time?) I stopped in front of the entrance to unload my luggage, then parked my car on my own in a distant parking lot. When I entered, they were assisting the previous guest and didn’t say “Welcome” or even “Please wait,” which made me feel like I wasn’t being welcomed. I wanted to come again during crab season, but…

The staff member who welcomed us was outstanding, and the drinks and light snacks in the lobby were excellent, giving us the immediate impression that this was a top-class Hotel. The meals were delicious and high quality, and we were very satisfied with the thorough explanations and attentive service despite how busy it seemed. The location is great, with beautiful views of the Seto Inland Sea and a well-maintained building; it was comfortable, and because it faces west we could enjoy the scenery throughout without worrying about direct sunlight. The private bath was also spacious, clean, and comfortable. The late-night curry service was perfectly timed when we felt a bit hungry, which increased our satisfaction even more. If I had to mention anything, aside from the person who first assisted us and the staff member who served us at dinner, some others—while doing their best—seemed inexperienced; also, the building felt somewhat like a retreat facility rather than having more distinctive character.

The Room was spacious with a great ocean view, and both the meals and the Onsen were excellent. Here are a few highlights: - We chose dinner from 17:30, and one alcoholic drink was free. - The flounder tempura was light and fluffy, and absolutely delicious. - Dinner was served as a course meal, while dessert was offered buffet-style—such a luxurious setup. - The ocean view from the large public bath was wonderful, and all the showers and hair dryers were ReFa products. - What impressed me most was how thoroughly cleaned everything was. Although the Room itself didn’t seem particularly new, it was spotless—especially the washbasin area, which looked older but had no water stains at all and gleamed in every corner. It made our stay very comfortable. There were many great points like these, and we were very satisfied with our stay. Thank you very much.

I have stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan with ocean views, but this was one of the most memorable. The views from the Room and the open-air bath were outstanding—thanks to the Hotel’s hilltop location with nothing obstructing the scenery, as well as the serene beauty of the Seto Inland Sea itself. There are very few man-made structures nearby, and the landscape created by the scattered islands is truly stunning. In the distance, we could see bridges of the Shimanami Kaido and parts of Imabari’s townscape, while boats passing below from time to time added a lovely touch to the view. I felt this Hotel is well worth staying at even just to relax and take in this scenery. Because it was listed as “Casual” on IKYU, I initially imagined a standard Hotel that simply highlights its views. In reality, however, we experienced warm, unpretentious hospitality from all staff members. Dinner was not a typical set menu; it showed thoughtful creativity throughout and was delicious. Breakfast was buffet-style, and in particular, I still remember how wonderful the locally harvested blueberries were. This time we rented a car at Hiroshima Station: on our first night we stayed at a Ryokan on Etajima; on day two we toured Takehara before taking a ferry over and enjoying beautiful Setouchi island views from Mount Kamimine prior to check-in. The next day we visited Okunoshima to spend time with its rabbits, then headed home via Mihara to Hiroshima Airport. The Hotel was also extremely convenient as a base for sightseeing routes starting from Hiroshima City toward Kure, Takehara, and Mihara—and we were fully satisfied with every aspect: scenery, dining, and hospitality.
