Everything was excellent—no complaints at all. It was a truly memorable Hotel. The food in particular was outstanding; it may have been the best of any place we’ve stayed so far. Not only was it delicious, but the portions were generous—we’re big eaters, and even we left completely full. The Room was also wonderful, with a lovely view of Lake Biwa. Simply the best. To prove it, as soon as we got home we made another Reservation for the crab course—it's six months away, but we’re already excited to enjoy your料理 again. Thank you in advance, and we look forward to our next stay.

Due to bad weather, we changed our travel destination and ended up staying here at short notice as a family of five. Everyone except the person who made the Reservation wasn’t very enthusiastic until we arrived, but our stay here won them over and they were extremely satisfied. We felt truly relaxed by the meals, the atmosphere of the Room, and the hospitality. Personally, I was thrilled to find several types of Isamu Noguchi lighting in the traditional Japanese house-style Room. Next time, I’d love to spend time here during the rainy season or when the fresh greenery is at its best.

I stayed here twice a few years ago, and I was truly happy to be able to return after a long time. All of the staff were genuinely pleasant, and I had a very relaxing stay. In particular, thank you to Mr./Ms. H (I’m using an initial as I’m not sure if it’s okay to share the name) who assisted with my check-in. One thing only: I used FORNI for both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, my meat was upgraded, but I wasn’t asked about my preferred doneness. At breakfast, we were told it would be a choice of main dish plus a semi-buffet, but later we were informed that choosing the Japanese set would not include the semi-buffet, which was a bit disappointing. Even so, this is truly a wonderful Hotel. I look forward to visiting again.

The floors throughout the Ryokan were comfortable to walk on barefoot, making it feel like home. I completely understood why rolling suitcases are not allowed. I could really appreciate the owner’s attention to detail, and I thought it was wonderful. The location was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

The Room was clean, and there was a desk lamp that could charge my smartphone just by placing it on it, so I had a very comfortable stay. There is a Starbucks near the Hotel, and there is also a convenience store at Kameoka Station, which was very convenient. I would like to stay again.

I stay here once or twice every year, and it is always a truly pleasant experience. The buffet meals are all delicious—there’s nothing that feels mediocre—and the baths are spacious and comfortable. Some of the bath facilities (such as the showers) feel a bit dated, but there are no issues with using them, and having towels freely available made my stay very comfortable. We had an extremely satisfying stay in every way. This time, we stayed in both the villa and the Deluxe Twin, and both Rooms were very clean. However, on the first night we chose to have a BBQ at the villa, but it was too hot to handle. We thought it would be nice if there were a mist system on the terrace.

Above all, the hostess is truly soothing. Just seeing her face makes us feel at ease. The Room—especially the bath—is great, and the water temperature is perfect.
