Kanagawa (Other than Hakone) × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan for Onsen and bath

We stayed here as a family to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday and an early birthday party for my younger sister. They prepared a lovely birthday card and a whole cake topped with plenty of fruit, which made both my mother and sister very happy! The house was extremely clean, and every detail was thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable. The private chef was also very friendly and carefully accommodated our requests in advance. We could truly feel the owners’ commitment to putting guests’ comfort first. Thank you so much.

We stayed in Yokohama on the first day, visited Yokosuka on the second day, and decided to stay overnight on the Miura Peninsula. The Accommodation is a renovated historic building, and it beautifully preserves the original design from that time inside—it was truly atmospheric and moving. Our child was also surprised at how spacious and clean it was. Miura may not have the flashy feel of other tourist spots, but we were impressed by how many buildings have a nostalgic, old-fashioned charm. In the evening we went to a nearby seafood restaurant, and it was outstanding. I also highly recommend taking the Nijiiro Sakana-go boat tour. The staff at the Accommodation were very kind as well. I had visited before for a day trip, but this was my first overnight stay, fully expecting peak Obon pricing. Since it’s an Onsen Ryokan, I assumed the guest rooms would be Japanese-style, but unlike the shared areas with samurai armor and other traditional touches, my Room was a stylish and relaxing Western-style space. I also appreciated the in-room coffee machine service. Above all, the baths were outstanding. The alkaline water left my skin feeling wonderfully smooth. There were three beautiful private baths, and after 9:00 p.m. they could be used freely without a Reservation. Perhaps because many families with children were staying, it was quiet late at night—so I tried them all. Including the large public bath, every bath was at just the right temperature; no matter how many times I soaked, I never felt overheated or unwell, and I truly enjoyed Onsen to the fullest. There are several Accommodation options in Nakagawa Onsen, but when it comes to bath management—including temperature control and cleanliness—I feel an Onsen Ryokan is still the best. We also enjoyed table tennis, and even after checkout they kindly let us use the large public bath area as a place to change after playing in the river. They were also very flexible and extremely kind regarding Shuttle Service arrangements and other requests. Thank you very much.

We stayed in the West Wing with my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and our family—6 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs. Everyone was thrilled, and it became a wonderful travel memory. As we were celebrating a special occasion, we asked for balloon decorations and to purchase fireworks. For meals, we hired a private chef. Inamuragasaki holds many memories for us. With the ocean right in front of us—and no power lines visible from inside—it was truly a special location. Since the kids are still small, they were overjoyed to use the rooftop jacuzzi like a pool instead of going into the sea. The adults could watch them safely and relax while enjoying the ocean view in complete comfort. The food was also excellent—hiring a private chef was absolutely the right choice. We also got to try out karaoke that you’re considering introducing as a service. Our child who loves singing was delighted and held onto the microphone nonstop. At night we enjoyed fireworks and made so many great memories with the kids. Everything was prepared in such a comfortable setting—easy for adults and fun for children. Our surfer family members even went into the ocean twice. It truly was an amazing place. We highly recommend it for family trips. We will definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for letting us stay in a non-smoking Room this time. The Room was spacious and the view was wonderful—everything was perfect. I also thought it was rare to have a foot bath, and it felt great. Everyone who assisted us made a great impression, and whenever we had questions, they kindly helped us, which we really appreciated. It’s close to the station and also near sightseeing spots, so the location was excellent. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity. We had a very comfortable stay—thank you so much!

Located about an hour from Shinjuku and easy to reach, yet once you step inside, a beautiful, nature-filled garden unfolds and makes you forget everyday life in an instant. The Room was also wonderful—said to be a favorite of Hayao Miyazaki—with thoughtful details throughout, from the view from the round in-room bath to the uniquely textured corridors, creating a truly charming atmosphere. From arrival to departure, the staff’s warm hospitality and attentive care made our family feel completely at ease, allowing us to spend a very comfortable and happy time.

Despite the economical rates, the bathtub had a built-in step that could be used as a seat, and there was also a separate washing area for the body, which was excellent. It offered Facility services you wouldn’t even find at top-class Hotels costing twice as much. I was able to relax very comfortably. The staff service was wonderful, and it made my trip even more enjoyable.

I stayed here for my birthday and wanted to treat myself a little. The Room was well kept, and above all, the meals were delicious (a bit generous in portion size, though). The best part was being able to enjoy freshly baked bread at breakfast. The view from the balcony also gave me time to forget everyday life. And most of all, the Hotel staff provided polished, kind, and courteous service that made me want to come back whenever I feel like treating myself again. Perfect in every way!!! It was a truly satisfying stay. Thank you very much.

This was a return visit. It was raining, but the covered walkway from the station to the Hotel meant I didn’t need an umbrella. The Room is refined and simply furnished. This time, there was live jazz in front of the reception area at night, which gave me a similar sense of satisfaction to when I stayed at Mesm Tokyo. The staff also provide wonderful hospitality, taking pride in working at Metropolitan Kawasaki.

It was my first Multiple Night Stay at Dormy Inn Kawasaki in a while, and I had a very comfortable stay. The bath was clean and well maintained, and it wasn’t too crowded, so I could relax and unwind. There are three massage chairs; you may have to wait a little, but they provide a wonderfully relaxing experience. If I have the chance next time, I would definitely stay again.

Right in front of Kugenuma Beach, it was quiet and away from the bustle of Enoshima. It’s a wonderful small Hotel where you can enjoy a special getaway while truly relaxing. The in-Room meals were delicious, and we also appreciated that the Hotel partners with great nearby restaurants and provides Shuttle Service. The staff were all kind as well. We felt it would be an excellent place to stay as a vacation home alternative.

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

I stayed at the Kahala Hotel for my birthday—it had been on my wish list for a long time, and choosing this Hotel was absolutely the right decision. I’ve stayed at many Hotels, but I felt the warmth of the staff here was truly number one. From start to finish, I could really sense the Hawaiian-born spirit of hospitality and felt completely at ease throughout my stay. Of course, the Room was also outstanding and incredibly relaxing. Now I understand why so many guests return again and again. Thank you so much for all your thoughtful care. I will definitely be back!!

This Hotel was truly exceptional, with breathtaking Hayama views and the warm hospitality of the staff. The Misaki-grown longtooth grouper served at dinner was especially memorable—the chef’s cooking was perfect, and I was genuinely impressed. The plump, tender white flesh and rich fat that melted in my mouth were unforgettable. With wonderful cuisine and outstanding service, it became a truly special stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed here once shortly after it opened, and the view from the Room, the cleanliness, and the bath were all outstanding, so with my birthday coming up I decided to visit again. Just like last time, everything was just as wonderful; the meals felt even more generous than before, and they were delicious—I was very satisfied. As with all Accommodations in this group, the service is excellent and full of thoughtful touches, so I can confidently recommend it to anyone. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay, and this time I visited in summer. The Room was much larger than last time and seemed newly renovated—a Japanese-Western style Room with beds. Dinner and breakfast were served in a private room in a separate building, the same as before. This time it was a summer-style kaiseki featuring sweetfish (ayu). (In winter, it’s wild boar hot pot.) The open-air bath in the Room was also great. There are two large public baths; my favorite is the one with hot spring water cascading like a waterfall, which is used as the men’s bath at night and the women’s bath in the morning. I was even more satisfied than last time. Guests ranged from families with children to couples and married couples. Even the walk from the parking lot to the Room has a charming atmosphere, so I can recommend it. The service is very polite as well. (It seems staff change between dinner and breakfast—there were lots of “mom”-type staff members in the morning.) You’ll find tanuki figures all around. Also, the vending machines are reasonably priced, and it was nice that there were bottled drinks for each guest plus a thermos of iced water in the Room. (So you don’t need to buy water beforehand.) *Since you can’t tell the exact Room layout at Reservation, if you care about futons vs beds or whether there is a partition for the bath area, it may be best to call and confirm.* (The Room we had last time in February 2025 had futons, and if you opened the curtain by the open-air bath you could be seen. This time we had a Western-style bedroom with beds, and there was also a door/wooden screen by the open-air bath—so there were differences. It’s possible renovations have been done since then.)

As we did last year, four of us stayed again for a birthday sleepover. The Facility was well designed with no unnecessary extras, and having a large public bath was fantastic. Because of light rain, we took taxis to and from Chinatown, which was very convenient. We also really enjoyed using screen mirroring on the TV. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and all four of us were completely satisfied.

This time, I stayed in a Single Room on the 9th floor. The bed was spacious enough, and by borrowing a free blanket, I was able to stay comfortable without lowering the Room temperature too much. I’m grateful to the housekeeping staff who always keep everything clean and to the service staff for their kind hospitality.

It had been a while since I last enjoyed a Hotel vacation. The heat had been lingering and I was tired from work, but I was able to refresh and feel back to normal. I love the Japanese-style breakfast in the morning. Sorry for spilling the soy sauce. I’ll be back again. Everyone, please be careful of heatstroke even while you’re at work.

I had a live show and stayed in Yokohama for the first time in a while instead of central Tokyo. The room was clean and spacious, with a separate bath and toilet, and there was plenty of space throughout the guest room, so I could truly enjoy my Hotel stay. Breakfast was delicious, and even after eating well and taking a walk around the park right in front or exploring Chinatown, an 11:00 check-out was no problem. This is a Hotel that made me want to come back to Yokohama again.
