We stayed for one night and two days in May, when the fresh greenery was beautiful. All the staff—at the front desk, in the restaurant, and housekeeping—were very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. The Room was spacious, and the view from the window was outstanding. The Italian course meal was also delicious. After check-out, we enjoyed a trip to Chikubu Island from Nagahama Port right in front of the Accommodation. We plan to visit Shiga again and would definitely like to stay here again.

Although I live in the prefecture, I had wanted to stay here for a long time, and I was finally able to do so this time. It’s a dog-focused Hotel in every way, and all the staff were very friendly, so we had a truly enjoyable time. Because it was extremely hot for the season, we couldn’t use the outdoor dog run, but we still had fun using the indoor dog run and taking walks around the property. The meals were stylish and delicious, and the large public bath was not crowded, so I could relax—overall I was satisfied with everything. I can’t stay often, but it’s a Hotel I’d like to visit again if I have the chance.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday. The sashimi came with daikon carved into a crane, and there was also sekihan (red rice). Everything looked beautiful and tasted great, leaving both our stomachs and hearts full. All of the staff were wonderful and very considerate, which made our time here truly enjoyable. All the staff were wonderful. We waited a little at breakfast, but the gentleman at the entrance gave a deep bow and apologized with a smile, which made us feel comfortable and enjoy breakfast. I felt satisfied that I had stayed at a truly good Hotel for the first time in a while—something you don’t experience at foreign-owned Hotels or with their staff. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

My spouse and I stayed for one night starting July 19. From the pickup at the station to sightseeing guidance after checkout, your attentive hospitality and thoughtful care made our stay truly comfortable. Thank you very much. The teppanyaki dinner course delighted both our eyes and our taste buds, and the chef’s enjoyable conversation made the evening even better—we left feeling full and in great spirits. This was our second stay at Kamenoi Hotel Hikone. Just like last time, the staff were wonderful and the meals were delicious, so we chose to stay here again without hesitation. This time I was traveling with my 88-year-old mother. During dinner, she said the chair backrest hurt her bones, so I asked a staff member if we could borrow a cushion. They immediately brought us a large cushion, and after that my mother was able to comfortably enjoy about an hour and a half of dining. The dishes were served one after another at just the right timing while still warm, and everything was very delicious. The next morning, when we went to the Room for breakfast and gave our room number, I was surprised to see that last night’s cushion had already been placed on the chair backrest—it truly moved me. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with gratitude for the staff’s thoughtful care. Thank you very much.

We chose this Accommodation because it offers views of Lake Biwa. The scenery throughout the property was exactly as shown in the photos on the website, and we were captivated by the refined design and attention to detail. We booked a Plan that included breakfast and dinner, and every dish made generous use of local ingredients and was truly delicious. We would love to return, and we would also like to recommend it to someone special. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

The lake reflects the lights from across the shore as dusk falls, and in the early morning light, you can see rippling waves and waterfowl arriving—scenery that never gets old. Thanks to IKYU's special benefits, our Room was upgraded, and we were also offered extended check-out

Yukata were provided. If possible, I would have appreciated having loungewear in the Room as well. Breakfast was very disappointing, as most items seemed to be frozen foods that were simply reheated. The rice, however, was cooked in a pot and was very delicious. The staff member on the floor had a pleasant smile.

This was my first stay, and everything was wonderful—the warm hospitality from the staff, the meals, and the Onsen. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as providing fireworks. The Room was spacious and relaxing as well. If I had one request, since guests move around the entire property in socks or barefoot, it would be nice to have slippers available. Other than that, I was very satisfied and would love to stay again when traveling to Lake Biwa next time.

We stayed here while touring the Kotō Sanzan temples. The top-floor Japanese-Western style room was spacious and had a great view. Both breakfast and dinner used local ingredients, and we were satisfied with both the quality and quantity. The sukiyaki beef was especially delicious. We used the large public bath after day-use hours ended, and it was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were kind as well. The area around the Hotel is also well maintained. We will stay here again when we visit Kotō. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed for two nights as a couple. Dinner was served in the Room. The meals, including Omi beef, fish and vegetables from Shiga, and local sake, were all delicious. It is conveniently located near historical sites such as Hikone Castle, Omihachiman, Nagahama City, and Chikubu Island, making sightseeing enjoyable. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

The Room was spacious and comfortable with individual air conditioning, and the front desk staff were kind and attentive. The large public bath was also very relaxing, with an open-air bath and a sauna. The amenities were well stocked, and I have no complaints at all. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely stay here again. I can confidently recommend it to everyone.

We stayed in a Room with a private open-air bath. The large public bath had no windows and felt dark, so we didn’t end up using it, but the private open-air bath in the Room was more than enough to enjoy the Onsen. We would like to stay in the same Room again next time.

We stayed as a couple in our 50s. Rather than a Hotel, it feels more like a charming pension-style place, which suits it well. The front desk gave the impression that they may be operating more efficiently than before, and that’s perfectly fine. The staff were all ladies older than us, so the pace was a bit relaxed—but in an endearing way. It felt warm and comfortable. The Room was spacious, with Lake Biwa stretching out beyond the window. Since this area tends to feel cold, even in April they had a heater and blankets prepared. We chose the Omi beef steak course. From the photos I wondered if it might not be enough, but it was very filling and satisfying. For breakfast, we were happy to be able to choose either Japanese or Western style. The curry was especially delicious! The bath is not an Onsen, but it was kept very clean. We went to see the Osaki cherry blossoms by the inlet. Next time, I’d love to visit again during the season when the metasequoia trees are at their best.

[Hospitality & Service] The Facility staff were kind, friendly, easy to talk to, and truly wonderful. When the fire wouldn’t light, they helped right away, and the next morning they even came over to check on us. From check-in to check-out, their warm and refreshing service made us feel great throughout our stay. (I could tell the moment we arrived that the staff were genuinely nice—haha.) [Room] Both inside and outside the Room were unbelievably clean. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—“comfortable” is exactly the right word. *My friend said the floor in the Room was so clean, cool, and pleasant that he slept on it even though there was a bed—lol.* Everything we used within the Facility was spotless, so you can really tell how much care goes into every detail. [Other] I honestly have no complaints at all, but if I had to mention just three things: 1) It might be nice to have a TV or something in the Facility? → Since you can enjoy BBQ until night, I personally didn’t need one because it’s great just soaking up the atmosphere—but some guests might head back to their Room earlier. 2) The reception location (at check-in) → It’s not particularly hard to find, but since reception is on the opposite side of the main road, having a sign or clearer guidance might help. (There was information online.) 3) This is such a great Facility that I’d love for you to upload more photos!!! → It was even better than what I expected from the listing photos, so I ended up being pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. [Finally] This time I happened to see “Hikone Lakeside Resort KOMOREVILLAGO” recommended and made a Reservation—but it made me want it to become more well-known because it’s such a place worth supporting. It feels like it will keep developing further as well, so I’m really looking forward to what’s next—haha. I know it must be tough at times, but I hope you keep going strong.
