This luxury Japanese-style Ryokan with views of Mt. Fuji offered exceptional service. The view from the Room was stunning, and the windows were polished to a shine, which showed true hospitality. Both the in-room bath and the large public bath were comfortable and deeply relaxing. The meals were also delicious. The attentive service made our children happy as well. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

We stayed for one night on the dog-friendly Plan with dinner and breakfast included. Both the seafood hot pot and breakfast were delicious. The seafood hot pot portion was a bit small, so if you have a big appetite, I recommend bringing extra ingredients. For breakfast, the made-to-order omelet and French toast from the live kitchen were especially good. The bath area had fewer washing stations than expected, so you may have to wait during busy times. The shower was easy to use (adjustable water pressure and it didn’t shut off automatically), and the ReFa hair dryer dried even long hair quickly. There were also a pool and table tennis in the building, plus board games available to borrow for in-Room play—our child loved them. The Room felt like a luxury apartment model unit, with the bedroom clearly separated from the living/dining/kitchen area, so we could relax without worrying even after our child fell asleep. If you have a Netflix account, you can watch it on the TV. That said, it’s hard to ignore that some detailed cleaning in the Room seemed insufficient—especially how dirty the air conditioner and ventilation fan were, which was disappointing. The air conditioner had heavy blackish stains that looked like mold not only inside but also on the exterior. The ventilation filters in the changing area and toilet were packed with dust, which was shocking. Also, while the bathroom and kitchen areas were kept clean overall, limescale hadn’t been fully removed from the small sink installed in the toilet. Dog amenities were well stocked overall, making this Accommodation great value for money and one we’d like to stay at again—but because both the air conditioner and vents were truly dirty, I hope they will be thoroughly cleaned before our next visit.

We stayed at Nino Kura with two adults and, at short notice, added one child (2 years old). We had both dinner and breakfast at the main house restaurant, and I was amazed by the dinner table setting. The menu listed the date of the day, and everything—from the plates and decorative plants to the cutlery—was thoughtfully curated. Dining in such a carefully crafted space made the meal truly exceptional. As I wrote in the title, it really felt like “God is in the details.” Breakfast wasn’t as showy as dinner, but the refined Japanese breakfast was comforting. It started with appetizers, and I didn’t expect dessert at the end!!! As for our Room, they prepared items for our child as well. These small touches made our stay very comfortable. The free-flowing Toi Onsen hot spring was also wonderful.

My partner also said they were incredibly happy and moved to have spent their birthday here! Although we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji due to unfavorable weather that day, the staff’s hospitality completely made up for it! Even on a rainy day, they made us feel absolutely wonderful. I’

This time, we were completely satisfied with the Room, meals, and staff. Last time, the front desk staff were unfriendly and I wondered what was going on, but this time both check-in and check-out were very pleasant. Having stayed at retreat Hotels all over the whole country, I found this Retreat Onko Chishin to be outstanding in every way. The Room, bath, meals and drinks, and hospitality all delivered a high level of satisfaction, making for a truly pleasant stay. This Hotel has been reborn through the renovation of an existing Hotel, and the quality of the renovation and overall atmosphere were excellent.

It was the best stay. The hospitality was better than any Hotel I have stayed at, and the staff were truly wonderful. We enjoyed hearing various stories during the Shuttle Service ride. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, amenities, and minibar. The view from the Room was absolutely breathtaking, and we were able to spend a truly happy day. Of course, the food was also very satisfying. The main dishes—venison and sweetfish—were incredibly delicious and made us want to come back again.

It was a wonderful, impeccably clean Room that made us think, the moment we stepped in, “We want to come back.” The open-air bath in the guest room was delightful both at night and in the morning, as we could relax while enjoying the ocean view. The private open-air bath in our Room had an ocean view, and we enjoyed it so much that we used it multiple times both at night and in the morning. Having a bath in the Room allowed us to relax without worrying about time, which was truly wonderful. The Room itself was spacious

Because it was a three-day weekend right at the start of summer vacation, it ended up a little over our original budget—but we wanted to stay here so badly that we made the Reservation anyway. And once we actually stayed… it was worth every yen—no, even more than that. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was even better than expected: right in front of us were white sand and a blue sea. There were quite a few families and international guests, but at night it was very quiet. You can head straight to the beach from the Hotel, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—dedicated beach sandals, a washing machine, towels, and more. I also really appreciated that when you take off your slippers there, you can place them neatly into a shoe box labeled with your Room name—something I found especially reassuring as someone who’s a bit particular about cleanliness. The Room was truly spacious, spotless, and very functional. Everything felt refined from corner to corner—the washbasin, furnishings, wall colors, decorations—all beautifully coordinated and calming. A small detail, but the loungewear fabric was very soft and had buttons so it stayed in place comfortably. The semi-open-air bath in the guest room had excellent water quality and temperature. Being able to soak slowly while looking out at the ocean—with no insects flying around—was pure bliss. We enjoyed our in-room meals while chatting pleasantly with our attendant; everything was delicious. The simmered whole kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was especially impressive—large and full of flavor—truly “this is Izu!” That said, personally I would have preferred beef as steak (even a small portion) rather than chilled shabu-shabu wrapped with vegetables. If many guests are older adults, it would be great if there were an option available even with an additional charge. Breakfast included many dishes as well—I ended up eating quite a lot first thing in the morning! Overall this Accommodation deserves high marks across the board; if I had to be strictly critical, dinner alone could have felt slightly more luxurious or surprising—something that makes you think “This is exceptional—I’ve never tasted anything like it.” Even so, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that I absolutely want to return again next year. I was extremely satisfied with all the Facilities in the property. The all-inclusive plan and the amenities bar were both excellent.
