All Onsen baths—including the bath in your Room—are free-flowing directly from the source. After soaking in our open-air stone bath made from 53 tons of lava rock or our open-air wooden bath carved from a 1,200-year-old tree, enjoy our signature dishes featuring fresh seafood and mountain produce from Izu. Located within the grounds of the Jigen-in Temple, this Property is run by the temple's head priest's wife as the hostess and their daughter as the young hostess. Rather than operating as a traditional "shukubo" (temple lodging), this Property has a long history of welcoming guests from both Japan and abroad as a youth hostel, offering a familial and casual atmosphere that is its charm.
