Because it was a three-day weekend right at the start of summer vacation, it ended up a little over our original budget—but we wanted to stay here so badly that we made the Reservation anyway. And once we actually stayed… it was worth every yen—no, even more than that. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was even better than expected: right in front of us were white sand and a blue sea. There were quite a few families and international guests, but at night it was very quiet. You can head straight to the beach from the Hotel, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—dedicated beach sandals, a washing machine, towels, and more. I also really appreciated that when you take off your slippers there, you can place them neatly into a shoe box labeled with your Room name—something I found especially reassuring as someone who’s a bit particular about cleanliness. The Room was truly spacious, spotless, and very functional. Everything felt refined from corner to corner—the washbasin, furnishings, wall colors, decorations—all beautifully coordinated and calming. A small detail, but the loungewear fabric was very soft and had buttons so it stayed in place comfortably. The semi-open-air bath in the guest room had excellent water quality and temperature. Being able to soak slowly while looking out at the ocean—with no insects flying around—was pure bliss. We enjoyed our in-room meals while chatting pleasantly with our attendant; everything was delicious. The simmered whole kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was especially impressive—large and full of flavor—truly “this is Izu!” That said, personally I would have preferred beef as steak (even a small portion) rather than chilled shabu-shabu wrapped with vegetables. If many guests are older adults, it would be great if there were an option available even with an additional charge. Breakfast included many dishes as well—I ended up eating quite a lot first thing in the morning! Overall this Accommodation deserves high marks across the board; if I had to be strictly critical, dinner alone could have felt slightly more luxurious or surprising—something that makes you think “This is exceptional—I’ve never tasted anything like it.” Even so, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that I absolutely want to return again next year. The private open-air bath in our Room had an ocean view, and we enjoyed it so much that we used it multiple times both at night and in the morning. Having a bath in the Room allowed us to relax without worrying about time, which was truly wonderful. The Room itself was spacious

My 88-year-old mother, my sister and I, my daughter, and my two grandchildren (six of us across four generations) stayed at Atami Korakuen Hotel for one night and two days. Although we were a group with a wide range of ages, everyone was comfortable, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The Shuttle Service bus from Atami Station to the Hotel was extremely helpful. Our Room was an 18-tatami Japanese-style room with large windows, so we could also enjoy the beautiful nighttime view of Atami town. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great variety—from dishes my mother enjoys to kid-friendly options—so everyone could enjoy the meals together regardless of age. The freshly grilled dried horse mackerel was especially delicious. The large public bath was equipped with a baby bath and baby soap, so we felt at ease bathing even with our young grandchildren. We truly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. When we asked the front desk to arrange a taxi for getting around, they responded quickly, which helped us a lot. This is a Hotel I can wholeheartedly recommend to families traveling with babies or elderly relatives. We would love to stay again as a family. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

It was an extremely satisfying stay, and above all, the meals were outstanding. I was only able to have dinner, but everything was carefully prepared, from the seasoning to the presentation. I also personally really appreciated that the meal was not served in the Room, but could be enjoyed in a spacious dining area. The view from the dining area was superb.

This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied with both the large public bath and the breakfast. The Room didn’t feel cramped at all, and I was able to relax comfortably. Walking around town was fun, but it was hotter than expected, so I ended up drenched in sweat and completely exhausted. After rinsing off in the large public bath, I really didn’t feel like going back out, so the complimentary late-night soba service was truly appreciated. (The half-size portion was perfect as a light supper after eating out.) At breakfast, I loved being able to enjoy small portions of local specialties, and it felt like a great value. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again.

This was an area we rarely visit. Although the weather was unfortunate on the day of our arrival, the next day was clear, and we had a stunning view of Mount Fuji. The sea was calm, and we are considering coming back next year for a beach trip with our grandchildren. The staff

We booked a Room with an open-air bath, and it felt more open than we expected, which made us a bit nervous, so we used it early in the morning and at night when it seemed like no one would be around. The meals were also delicious, and we were very satisfied! We ate so much we could barely move.

True to its name, the baths were excellent. The large public bath was spacious, and the open-air bath in the Room was a comfortable size, so we were able to fully enjoy the baths. The meals also offered a wide variety; we had rice with simmered golden eye snapper and left completely satisfied. The rice was especially delicious, and we ate more than we should have. We would love to stay again.

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. Overall, we were satisfied with everything—the bath, the meals, and the service. We had a wonderful time. The in-room open-air bath while looking out at the sea was very comfortable. The large public bath was also very spacious and not crowded, so we could relax and enjoy it. Both dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented, and we enjoyed them very much—especially the grilled abalone and shabu-shabu. We deducted a few points because the parking lot is far away (which could be difficult in rainy weather), there are limited choices for meal times, the Room does not have an automatic lock, and noise from the hallway carries easily, but overall we think it is a great Accommodation that we can recommend to friends.

We made a last-minute Reservation, and the Accommodation was very clean. There was also a welcome drink, and it felt like a relaxing space as soon as we arrived. For luggage, they lent us a cart, but we had to carry everything ourselves; however, there is an elevator, so it wasn’t an issue. Since our room was on the second floor, the view was more like a small glimpse of the ocean in the distance. The area is famous for beautiful sunsets, but I completely forgot and scheduled dinner at sunset time, so we couldn’t see it—such a shame. If the weather is nice, choosing a later dinner time might be better since the beach is close and you can take your time enjoying the sunset. The dog run isn’t very large, but our dog seemed to have fun running around. The meals were very generous portions and left us full. We could also order food for our dog and enjoy dining together, which was great. The photo spots were cute as well. We’d love to stay again if we have another chance.

My second stay, following last winter. Last time I came by car. After sightseeing at Owakudani and other spots, I followed the navigation system and didn’t really know where it was, but this time I used the mountain railway and was surprised to find it was very close to Sounzan Station. Even on the walk from the station, I felt welcomed by a pleasant breeze and birdsong, and arrived at the Accommodation in great spirits. The attendant who looked after us was the same as last year. Their cheerful manner and excellent timing in serving meals were unchanged. The Room and shared areas were just as spotless as before—not a speck of dust—making everything feel wonderfully refreshing. The open-air bath assigned to each Room is located a short distance away, and ours was excellent again this time. With cuckoos calling more beautifully around this season, I could truly relax in both sound and hot water. The meals were delicious as before: a soup with pike conger eel (hamo) and junsai; seasonal ingredients like Manganji peppers with superb seasoning; gourd “kaminari-boshi,” which I hadn’t tasted in ages; plus breakfast highlights such as the vegetable salad and dressing, perfectly grilled salted salmon (both seasoning and doneness), and fresh yuba served at just the right moment. An Accommodation I’d love to return to for its hospitality.

Four of us stayed here on a girls’ trip. We booked a guaranteed Mt. Fuji view Room and were thrilled to see such a beautiful Mt. Fuji! The Room had a nostalgic Showa-era feel, but it came with basic amenities and tea, and since we only stayed one night and didn’t spend much time in the Room, it was more than sufficient. The meals (with breakfast and dinner included) were delicious, and there was so much food we couldn’t finish it all even though we wanted to try more. In the morning, we could hear Japanese bush warblers singing, which felt wonderfully refreshing, and seeing majestic Mt. Fuji made it an unforgettable memory! If we have the chance, we’d love to visit again.

The Facilities are new, and all the staff were lively and hardworking—it was wonderful. The meals felt so healthy that you’d feel better just by staying here, and even the tea in the lobby made me feel refreshed and detoxed. It was that kind of Ryokan. I deducted one star for the baths because I’m hoping to bring my elderly mother next time, but she has trouble walking, and I worry the stairs before entering the baths might be too difficult. Other than that, the Room was spacious, the food was delicious, and it was a great Accommodation.

The meals are delicious and feel worth more than their price. Additionally, the staff's service is excellent. In particular, the female staff member who attended to us during dinner was attentive and thoughtful, making our dinner very pleasant. I am grateful for her service

While Tokyo was experiencing relentless extreme heat every day, we thoroughly enjoyed the coolness of the highlands. Early in the morning, we could see Mt. Fuji from our Room. Perhaps because it is under the Tokyu Harvest brand, many guests were on the older side, and maybe by chance there were no inbound tour groups, so it was quiet and relaxing overall in both the restaurant and the baths. The front desk staff were also very friendly and pleasant, which we really appreciated. The Facility itself may not be new, but it has been renovated and felt clean, so there were no issues at all. Although it is located at an altitude of 700 m and takes a bit of time to reach from lower areas, we would definitely like to visit again.

We stayed here during a trip around the Izu Peninsula. This Accommodation has a nostalgic, retro Showa-era atmosphere, and we recommend booking a Room with an open-air bath. We were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen as many times as we liked.\n\nThe meals were excellent. Since the sea is nearby, we enjoyed delicious fish, spiny lobster, and steamed abalone. The drinks went down easily too, making it a memorable dinner. As someone over 60, I find buffet-style dining—having to go pick up dishes myself—a bit of a hassle, so I really appreciated being served at the table.\n\nIn addition to the bath in the Room, there are three private Onsen baths available for reservation, and we used them all. The spacious open-air bath is especially recommended.\n\nThe staff were kind and courteous as well—highly rated. If we have another chance to visit Nishi-Izu, we would like to stay here again.

I first stayed here in January 2026, and this was my second visit. This time I returned in the season of fresh greenery, and along the several dozen meters from the accommodation building to the separate Onsen building, white citrus blossoms were in full bloom. I was able to enjoy their sweet fragrance while soaking in the Onsen. It’s wonderful that each season brings new discoveries. The meals were consistently high quality, and I was satisfied with both the taste and portion size.

The Room and bathroom were clean and very nice. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and was delicious. I would like to stay here again.
