The ocean views from the Room, the large public bath, and the dining area were outstanding—scenery we could have watched forever. There were very few guests, not only foreigners but also Japanese; only about five groups were dining at the same time, and the open-air bath in the morning felt completely private, so time passed at a wonderfully relaxed pace. If I had to ask for one thing: Rooms without a bath require using the large public bath, so I would have appreciated a carry basket for taking items with me. Also, my husband mentioned that having shaving soap in the Room would make morning grooming easier. The meals were delicious as well—we were extremely satisfied!

It was my first time staying in Hagi, and I was moved by the wonderful scenery that truly lives up to the name “Hagi Hakkei.” I asked to change dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. so I could watch the sunset from my Room, and I was able to take my time enjoying the sun slowly sink

Facing the Kanmon Straits, it was soothing to watch the ships passing through all the time. The meals were carefully selected and delicious. It was also great to be able to see the straits from the bath; however, the bath was quite crowded with many local residents, which surprised me a little. As a request, I think it would be relaxing if you could use some aroma fragrance or incense in the corridor where the Room is located.

The Room was spacious, and the bath and toilet were separate. The amenities were well stocked. There were also bath salts, so I was happy to be able to relax in the bath. We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday. The Room was stylish, we could enjoy meals in the Room, the terrace was spacious enough for our dog to run around, and there was even a bath for dogs—best of all, we could stay together the whole time. The meals were surprisingly generous both dinner and breakfast. The staff were very attentive and also gave us sightseeing recommendations we could visit with our dog. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

I visited here as a child, and this time I came back to my hometown and stayed with my son and my parents. The Hotel has been beautifully renovated, so it felt quite different, but I enjoyed the nostalgic kawara soba and visited the lounge for the first time. This time, I stayed two nights on the Mojiko side, then took the ferry across to the Shimonoseki side for one night. It was a very sunny and hot day, but Karato Market, the Karato Ferry Terminal, Kaikyokan (Shimonoseki Aquarium), Hai! Karatto Yokocho (a small amusement park), and RISONARE are all lined up in the same area, so it’s great that you can enjoy everything within walking distance. On top of that, the Hotel offers plenty of kid-friendly activities such as the pufferfish pool and pufferfish beach, and the little ones looked like they were having a wonderful time. I also saw families staying with three generations together—this seems like an excellent choice for family trips. As for me, it was a solo trip for one night, so I treated myself to a full pufferfish Italian course at Otto Sette in the dining room (the aperitif was served on the terrace at sunset before moving into the dining room!). I also enjoyed a relaxing resort stay in a new and comfortable Room while taking in views of the Kanmon Straits. In the morning, I started my walk before dawn along Arukaport Promenade by the sea in front of the Hotel. With cool sea breezes and gradually brightening skies over the Kanmon Straits, I walked past Karato Market to Sister City Plaza at the end of the promenade to watch sunrise. Then I returned along the same path back to the Hotel and joined “Sea Breeze Stretch” on Namunami Terrace with its beautifully kept lawn. After that came an incredible breakfast buffet with so many options it was hard to choose—I enjoyed it right up to my limit. At PUKU PUKU’s breakfast buffet, kawara soba, seafood marinated rice bowls, and French toast are must-haves—go hungry. Even though it was only one night, it felt incredibly fulfilling. I’d love to come back—and now I want to visit other RISONARE properties too. Also, even if you make a Reservation here, it’s convenient that you can log in on their official website using your Reservation Number and arrange meals and activities online in advance.

The Room, bath, and meals were all wonderful, and we were very satisfied. However, the Wi-Fi listed was not accessible at all, so I think it needs improvement. Still, we treated it as a digital detox and were able to relax. Thank you for your hospitality.

I was able to spend a relaxing time while enjoying the beautiful scenery at the quiet seaside. The shared space had stylish interiors, and at night, the indirect lighting created a wonderful and calm atmosphere. There was a display of various spices, which was intriguing. The owner was kind, and the seafood bowl restaurant in Shimonoseki that was recommended was cheap and delicious, leaving me very satisfied! Breakfast consisted of healthy and delicious steamed vegetables and shumai. I enjoyed it while watching the sunrise on the terrace. It was also interesting to try various spices. Since the curry seems to be delicious, I would love to come back here to eat when I visit Shimonoseki again.

I made a Reservation under a Plan that included access to a nearby Onsen Facility, but I was told it was a 10-minute drive away, so I requested a refund and felt really disappointed.\nHowever, I was truly impressed by the hospitality afterward.\nThe seafood grill included oysters, abalone, and crab, and everything was delicious.\nThat day, one young woman took care of us on her own. During our conversation, I mentioned that my second son had come with me during his birthday break.\nAs a surprise birthday gesture, she decorated a pudding and celebrated with us.\nThe miso soup was also delicious—I even had seconds.\nI really appreciated the warm hospitality.
