Komatsu × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan for Onsen and bath

I was looking for a Room with an open-air bath and in-room dining. About a 45-minute drive from Kanazawa, with a zoo and the mysterious Hanibe Gankutsu-in nearby, it felt like the perfect place for the first night of our 2-night, 3-day trip, so we decided to stay here. First, when we arrived about 10 minutes past check-in time, everyone was waiting outside in this heat, and since we weren’t used to that kind of welcome, we felt truly apologetic (lol). I was surprised by how vast the grounds were—our Room was spacious, and best of all, it had the semi open-air bath I’d been hoping for! Having a dedicated staff member (?) take care of us throughout our stay also made us feel at ease. This time it happened to be my companion’s birthday month… and when I casually mentioned it, they gave us a birthday gift at dinner. On top of that, the proprietress even put on a surprise (no spoilers), which made it such a fun and memorable experience. We heard the meals change daily, so I think even a Multiple Night Stay would be enjoyable. There are also two large public baths that are more than enough to enjoy even without an in-room bath—we were able to relax and unwind. Above all, we really appreciated the warm hospitality from all the staff. In the end everything worked out well, but since it was their birthday month I requested an additional dinner item in advance; however, on the day we were told that if we ordered that menu they would like to serve dinner not in our Room but in another private dining room instead. Since I had been looking forward to in-room dining as well, I would have appreciated being informed at the time of ordering that this might happen. That said, the room they prepared for us was private—and actually it worked out better for messy people like us because we didn’t have to rush around tidying up before dinner—so we were very satisfied. Next time I’m thinking of visiting during my own birthday month so I can experience the proprietress’s surprise again. Thanks to you all, it turned into a wonderful Kanazawa trip. While preserving the traditional machiya atmosphere overall, the Accommodation has been thoughtfully renovated with a focus on key areas such as the bathroom and kitchen—spacious, spotless, and highly practical. It was a comfortable space with an excellent sense of balance. Unlike a typical Hotel stay, it offered an experience that blends into the neighborhood, and I felt as if I were spending my very first day after moving in. There are many lighting fixtures, and being able to fine-tune them to suit different situations was very convenient. The complimentary local drinks—such as roasted green tea and cider—were a delightful touch that added to the travel mood. Everything from the teapot and cups to the tray and even the hair dryer had a refined design that was pleasing to look at. It was a wonderful Room combining quality with functionality. Under normal circumstances this would unquestionably be a 5-star stay, but this time I am rating it 3 stars. The guests upstairs ran around for minutes at night and again the next morning like shuttle runs, even falling loudly at times. It was noise at a level that would feel excessive even in an ordinary Hotel—and all the more so in a machiya-style place like Komado. Even if our floors were reversed and I were staying upstairs, it would still have carried through. It was extremely difficult to endure. I wanted to raise this through staff, but neither the main phone line nor the emergency contact number could be reached around 7:30 p.m. I believe this Accommodation’s core appeal is its high-quality feel that blends seamlessly into everyday life in town, so it was deeply disappointing that such noise is fundamentally incompatible with that experience. That said, if you are not paired with guests like we had this time, it will surely be an outstanding stay without complaint. Being able to look out onto the courtyard was also fantastic; it is illuminated at night and offers scenery different from daytime—I never got tired of it!

Conveniently located near the airport, I always stay here for early morning flights. The beds are spacious and very comfortable. Thanks to the flowing Onsen, I had a great night's sleep. I didn’t have time for breakfast this time, but I’d like to wake up earlier someday and try it.

It’s conveniently located right off the interchange, which was very helpful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and their service was excellent. The Facility is a bit old, but the Room was reasonably clean and well maintained, and the Onsen was very relaxing—I ended up using it twice, morning and evening. The meals had a home-style feel, which I enjoyed. I’d like to stay here again if I have the chance.

To send a large courier package, a staff member came to pick it up from my Room with a cart. Even though it was a busy time, they kindly helped me with a refreshing smile, and I truly appreciated how they made me feel good from the morning.

I stayed here with my sister and her husband while it was snowing heavily. The Accommodation has both a first and second floor, making it a Room layout I had never experienced before. The in-Room bath had plenty of hot water flowing continuously, which was perfect for a morning soak. The meals were also very delicious.

The property was thoroughly cleaned, and I had a very comfortable stay. I didn’t use it myself, but it would be even better if the vending machine offered light snacks.

Just 12 minutes by train from Kanazawa Station, with a free Shuttle Service from the station, it was a nearby Onsen. I had been curious about the “Tanbo-no-Yu” bath. It was a trip for three sisters in our 60s, and the open-air “Tanbo-no-Yu” bath was wonderful. Maybe because rice planting had just been done around the baths... the chorus of frogs created a great atmosphere. The meals were delicious as well. The staff were from overseas but spoke Japanese very well, and worked hard to provide warm hospitality. It’s an old Hotel with history, and as you walk through the building you can still see impressive old beams, a large cauldron once used to cook rice, and antique chests of drawers. Modernizing the Facility is nice too, but this Accommodation let us truly feel traditional Japanese charm. I think I would recommend it to international guests as well. The price was reasonable, and I will come again. Thank you very much.

Because my arrival was going to be late, I called ahead and the staff member who answered was very helpful. Everyone at the front desk was also pleasant. I also appreciated the complimentary drinks such as coffee in the lobby. The Room is a bit dated, but it had more lighting than other hotels and was bright, and it was kept very clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and they even had curry, which was great. I would like to stay here again when I visit Komatsu City.

Just a 30-second walk from the station and 1 minute from the Shinkansen ticket gates. It was an ideal base for getting around by train. There is also an izakaya on the second floor, which was great. I attended an event at Urara and was surprised that the venue was right next door. It would be perfect if the complimentary breakfast included rice.

The Facility was clean, the service was excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay. If I had to mention one thing, it would be great if the grilled fish at breakfast could be deboned, as there was not much edible portion.

I stayed at APA Hotel for the first time. The twin beds were each about the size of a semi-double, allowing for a comfortable and relaxing sleep.

I stayed overnight because I had a get-together with friends. The twin Room was very clean, and despite the reasonable price, the Facility offerings were excellent (I was especially happy that the shower had micro fine bubbles!). It was great value for money and I was very satisfied. The only slight disappointment was that at check-in I was told I could choose breakfast as either a lunch box or the buffet venue option, but when I went the next morning it turned out only the lunch box was available. Still, overall it was a very comfortable stay and I’m glad I chose this Accommodation.

I stayed in Room Ichiban. With its high ceilings and spacious feel, the dragon painting really stood out—it was a wonderful Room. The futon was very comfortable, and I slept soundly. Every meal was delicious! I left completely full. The Kutani ware tableware was also adorable! It made me want to come back and stay again soon. Now I’m wondering which Room to choose next time~

It was affordable considering how close it is to the station. The entrance is on the back side of a main road, so it was surprisingly hard to find nearby and difficult to spot even with navigation on. I understood where it was when I looked from farther away while leaving. There were two croissants in the Room, and although I didn’t expect much, they were amazingly delicious—so good that I felt bad for underestimating them! The elevator ran quietly, there was a microwave in front of the elevator, and there was also a vending machine on the floor where I stayed. (Quite a few items were sold out, but I didn’t plan to buy anything so it didn’t bother me.) The front desk staff were kind, and parking was 500 yen, which was great. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.
