Yugawara × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan for Onsen and bath

We were thoroughly satisfied with the many delicious, beautifully presented dishes that captured the transition from summer to autumn. We enjoyed them in a private dining Room with a waterfall right in front of us. We stayed in a detached suite called Suirei, where a small stream runs through the Room. From the spacious open-air bath, there is another smaller open-air bath just down a few steps; each has a different temperature, so you can soak for as long as you like. The garden was also expansive, and we were able to fully enjoy summer and feel refreshed. Thank you very much for celebrating our 60th birthday with us. I hope to visit again even when I’m a grandmother.

The Hotel staff were wonderful, and the food and baths were excellent!

I have been staying here for some time, and recently I always stay for three nights. Each time, the property is quiet and thoroughly cleaned throughout. The wonderful, delicious meals were excellent, and both the open-air bath and the large public bath were spotless. The background music was also pleasant. The Room has two rooms with a veranda, and it was the perfect size for just my spouse and me. The staff’s service was also good.

The meals, hospitality, Room, views, and bath—everything made for a wonderful stay. I have never had rice this delicious before. The tea was also excellent, and the grilled dried horse mackerel at breakfast was outstanding. In any case, I’m adding this Accommodation to my top five places I want to stay again. I hope to visit again someday. Thank you very much.

This was my long-admired Accommodation, and my first visit. I was truly able to relax in a space where all I could see from the Room was greenery, and all I could hear were the calls of cicadas. The two large public baths had slightly different temperatures between the indoor bath and the open-air bath, so even I, who am not fond of very hot water, could choose what suited me. The meals also featured seasonal ingredients beautifully and were absolutely delicious. I sincerely appreciate the staff’s thoughtful, unobtrusive hospitality. I would love to return in a different season.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The Facilities, the staff’s atmosphere, and the meals were all excellent. It was clear that each staff member truly loves dogs. We would definitely like to stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay at this long-established Ryokan, with attentive service, carefully prepared dishes, spacious rooms, and tasteful furnishings that were elegant without being overdone. This was a high-quality Accommodation where you could truly appreciate the chef’s excellent sense of taste in both the quality and quantity of the food. The bath was also wonderful and left a strong impression on me. I was particularly struck by a Nepalese female staff member who spoke Japanese well; she looked worried because a local bridge in her hometown had been washed away in a landslide disaster in Nepal.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. Although it was only for one night, I was able to relax deeply. As rumored, the breakfast and dinner were delicious, everyone’s hospitality was excellent, and the Room was wonderful. I’m truly glad I chose to stay here. I gave my elderly mother, who can go anywhere on her own, a solo trip as a gift. When she returned home, she was truly delighted and spoke very highly of the wonderful service provided by the Ryokan staff. The meals were also delicious, and above all, it seems she was able to relax completely. Thank you very much. Thank you always for your wonderful hospitality. While many Accommodations have changed before and after COVID, I can truly relax with peace of mind knowing the quality here is consistently the same whenever I visit. The cuisine delighted my eyes, satisfied my palate, and deeply moved me. The hot spring was excellent, and the Room was exceptionally comfortable. This time, for the first time, I encountered deer and wild boar and felt the mystical power of nature as well. Thank you for such a wonderful escape from everyday life. 15 minutes from Yugawara Station by local bus. Get off at the Onsenkyo bus stop and walk 1 minute. There is no Shuttle Service, but buses run frequently, so it was convenient. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, but we arrived around 2:00 PM and waited in the lounge. Coffee and other drinks (available 24 hours) are free refills, so we could relax while waiting. After a short break, we left our luggage and went sightseeing at Fudo Falls, about a 6-minute walk away. After check-in, we could immediately enjoy the free-flowing Onsen. We relaxed in our Room until dinner time. The baths rotate by time between men and women. For the women’s bath, until 6:00 PM and from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, it is an indoor Onsen without an open-air bath on the first floor with a sauna (no windows). From 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM the next day, it becomes an Onsen with an open-air bath—this one was excellent. It’s a Japanese-style room, and you lay out your own futon. Dinner was vegetable-focused. The bean rice is cooked at the table. There is also a mini buffet where you can have as much as you like—drinks, desserts, soft-serve ice cream, and fruit. I was completely full and very satisfied. Maybe it’s part of Noguchi Kanko? It felt slightly upscale and was very nice. We were also able to use a coupon discount and stay at a great price.

I stayed for one night on September 4. Due to the typhoon, it rained all day, but I was extremely satisfied with everything—the convenient location near the station, the Onsen, the guest room (2F Japanese-modern style), the meals, and the service. The other guests staying that day also had a refined atmosphere. A good Hotel really is good. I usually only travel on a budget, so this was quite a culture shock for me. I will definitely return, and I’d like to try other Forest Resort affiliated Hotels as well.

This was our fifth stay. The service from the international staff during meals was excellent. Their Japanese was very good, and they spoke clearly, which made it easy for us seniors to understand. The portion sizes were just right, and the dashi broth was outstanding. We will be back again.

Everything—from the cuisine and the Onsen to the private dining room prepared for our meals—was wonderful, and we were able to truly relax from the bottom of our hearts. We chose this place because it was all-inclusive, and both the baths and the service were excellent. In particular, as someone in the same industry, I was truly impressed by the attentiveness and consideration shown by the Nepalese staff in the dining area. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time. Unlimited drinks from check-in to check-out was more than I could ask for as a beer lover—I enjoyed plenty. The open-air bath wasn’t too hot and felt great! We’d love to come back again! Unlimited free access to the game arcade, table tennis, Go and shogi, karaoke, and more. It felt like I finally had time to relax again after a long while, and I made wonderful memories. The shared karaoke turned into a nostalgic sing-off of classic Japanese songs, and I truly enjoyed the fun, one-time-only atmosphere with people I had just met. Thank you very much!

From the phone call before our stay, the service was very courteous and pleasant. Many of the staff seemed young, but everyone was wonderfully attentive, and we were able to relax throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and it was also lovely to move to the lounge and enjoy dessert while taking in the view outside. We would definitely like to stay again.

The beer was delicious right after we arrived! We enjoyed beer and wine while waiting to check in. The panoramic sauna was amazing. Dinner was also great—the roast beef was truly delicious. The bath on the first floor was nice too, with a sauna and a cold plunge. For breakfast, it was disappointing that there was no yogurt or boiled eggs. Anyway, it was a wonderful stay at the Accommodation! We’re looking forward to visiting again.
