The Facility feels a bit dated, but the Room was spacious (even with a standard Reservation, it had two separate rooms) and very clean. Since the air conditioner’s airflow direction in the Room couldn’t be adjusted, it felt cold if you were sitting where the air hit directly. When making the Reservation, I meant to choose a plan with breakfast and dinner but mistakenly selected breakfast only, so there was no dinner included. However, the staff provided a map and recommended nearby restaurants where we could have dinner. Breakfast was buffet-style, but there were only two start times—7:00 or 8:00—and since seating is rotated at 8:00, you can’t be late. I wish start times could be chosen in 15-minute increments. The made-to-order omelet was delicious. There is an open-air bath, and as it is known as “beauty-skin hot spring,” it left my skin feeling smooth. The torii gate of Yahiko Shrine is very close by, making this Accommodation convenient for visiting the shrine.

I visited after a long time. I could only book the Connect Twin before, but since it was a weekday, I was able to stay in the Wide View Twin again. The large windows offering expansive views of the sea and city were wonderful! The Room also had a massage chair. The public bath was as great as ever, providing a relaxing experience. The shampoo and other amenities were different from before, but they didn’t cause any dryness or irritation, which was reassuring. There was also a Refa hair dryer available. Please note that there is no sauna for women in the morning. Breakfast offers a choice between Japanese and Western set meals, with unlimited refills of salad, rice, bread, coffee, etc., making it very satisfying. It seemed like most guests chose the Japanese set meal; I opted for the Western one and appreciated that freshly grilled sausages were brought to my table when they ran out initially. The Himi Udon noodles were also delicious! Parking is convenient if you arrive early enough—you can park on Hotel’s 1st floor or at the flat lot across from it. Even if those are full, the municipal parking isn’t too far away either. It was an excellent stay with great value for money and left me feeling very satisfied overall. The staff provided exceptionally pleasant service throughout my visit. Oh yes—the complimentary coffee service on the 1st floor is much appreciated! Because of this amenity, having only powdered tea in Room wasn’t an issue at all. Thank you very much!

The Room was spacious, and the bath and toilet were separate. The amenities were well stocked. There were also bath salts, so I was happy to be able to relax in the bath. The Hotel is conveniently located near Karato Market and shopping facilities, so we enjoyed exploring on foot. Thank you very much.

It had switched to the early-summer menu. Even when I’m worn out from work and forget the sense of the season, staying at Sunset Susami always lets me head home feeling a little more refreshed. The creative dishes made with fresh, seasonal local ingredients are wonderful, and the Onsen—with different temperatures depending on where you bathe—is always excellent. The building is always kept spotless whenever I visit, and even when staff change over, they carefully clean tables after meals. One of this Accommodation’s charms is how strongly you can feel the staff’s sincerity. The special dessert introduced this time—the Inazumi Roll made by a front desk staff member—was truly delicious. The sponge was moist, and it paired perfectly with coffee. (As expected from a former Dojima Roll pastry chef—it really is on another level.) That’s given me yet another reason to stay at Sunset Susami. I love that I can always relax here (lol).

This is my second stay. Last time I visited with my husband, and I thought then that next time I wanted to come alone—to relax and unwind in the Onsen with some time just for myself. The large public bath was almost like having it to myself, and I could use the private bath as much as I wanted by reserving it with the magnet system. This Accommodation is perfect for enjoying peaceful solo time. The Room was well cleaned, and the service was excellent in my opinion. I will stay again.

We had dinner in Kobe City and only breakfast at the Hotel, but the in-room breakfast was absolutely delicious. We happened to make a Reservation at this Hotel for our trip to Kobe, but thanks to the heartfelt care shown by all of your staff, we were able to spend a day that will remain a cherished memory. I stayed here for my second night on a solo trip. Tucked away down a small path, it was so quiet—no traffic noise, just birds and insects. There were even cute little frogs on the terrace, which felt wonderful for someone who loves wildlife. The grounds are beautifully planted with lots of greenery, and the Room was extremely clean. The meals used ingredients harvested on the property and were outstanding—carefully prepared and delicate, yet warmly home-style at the same time. After the delicious dinner, they prepared a beautiful open-air bath for me, and I slept like a log until right before breakfast time. The owner couple were also very kind, sharing details about the ingredients, the plants on the property, and recommended spots to visit. This is a truly wonderful Accommodation filled with their care in every aspect—from the Room to the food to all Facilities. It’s an Accommodation I’ll definitely want to return to. For our first night in Kyoto, we wanted to go bar-hopping, so we chose the RIHGA Royal Hotel near the station. There is a free Shuttle Service at certain times, but it’s only a 7–8 minute walk. From the welcome to being shown to our Room, the service was excellent. A fully separated bath and toilet is a must for us, so the Japanese-Western style Room was perfect. The bathtub is very spacious—big enough even for men to stretch out. It also fills quickly, which was great. Another plus: two bath towels per person, two face towels per person, and bathrobes. The Room was clean and very well maintained. We checked out early in the morning, and they handled it kindly and smoothly. This is a Hotel I’d love to stay at again.
