Dinner was delicious as well—an unusual style of half-buffet with robatayaki grilling—and the large public bath with an open-air bath was very relaxing. The staff were courteous and attentive, which we really appreciated. The Facility is a bit old, but we chose this Accommodation in Tateshina as the place to commemorate reuniting with my wife for the first time in 50 years, and we were very satisfied. The fresh fish sashimi was outstanding. The meat dishes were also delicious, and we were very satisfied. The service was courteous and attentive. I think this Accommodation would be comfortable with no issues for guests up to their 60s. As Tokiwaya is a traditional Ryokan, I felt there are many challenges in terms of accessibility. I stayed with my 95-year-old mother, so I made a Reservation for a Room with a private bath, but there were many steps inside the Room and the bathtub was deep (my mother was able to step over it), which unfortunately made it difficult to use.

The meals were thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. There were several library rooms inside the Hotel with an extensive selection of manga magazines, collected volumes, and general books; I could immerse myself in reading while looking out at the ocean. “Chospo” (Choshi Sports)

I first stayed here in January 2026, and this was my second visit. This time I returned in the season of fresh greenery, and along the several dozen meters from the accommodation building to the separate Onsen building, white citrus blossoms were in full bloom. I was able to enjoy their sweet fragrance while soaking in the Onsen. It’s wonderful that each season brings new discoveries. The meals were consistently high quality, and I was satisfied with both the taste and portion size.

I have my family home in Onagawa, and when traveling to and from my hometown, I used to pass by the road next to this Hotel. This was my first time staying here, and the views from the Room and the bath were wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast used plenty of local ingredients and were very delicious. I’ll have another chance to visit my hometown, so I’d like to stay again.

I stayed here on my first visit to Kushiro in 13 years. It was very convenient—close to the station and just a short walk to MOO. During the wait between riding the Norokko Train and the sunset cruise, I was able to take a shower and recharge. After coming back in the cold, I went straight to the large public bath; the water was pleasantly hot and really refreshed me. I would have liked to relax longer, but I checked out before 8:00 a.m. the next morning to tour the lake on the Pirika boat. It was a comfortable stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

I contacted the property to say that I had missed the last bus from Hana-no-Miyako Park and would not make it in time for check-in. They kindly explained a walking route and told me that if I didn’t need dinner, I could take my time and come carefully. Taking them up on that, I had dinner on the way and checked in, where I was greeted warmly. They also helped me arrange breakfast. The Onsen was spacious, and especially the open-air bath—there were no other guests (maybe I went at a good time?)—so I could truly relax and recover from 14,000 steps of walking. In the morning, when I woke up at 4:30, Mt. Fuji was right in front of me—so close it filled my view. With subtle hues, it was breathtakingly beautiful. The morning bath and then breakfast—everything helped me forget everyday life, thanks to all the staff. Thank you very much.

It’s truly set amid a rural landscape, and the sunset view from the coin laundry side was beautiful. The large public bath was just the right size and temperature, and even during Golden Week, we were surprised that three of us could stay in such a spacious room at this price.

I made a Reservation the day before and was a bit worried, but everything—the Room, meals, staff service, bath, and the Hotel lobby—was excellent. From the Room, Yuyawan Bay spread out before me, and since the weather was good, I was able to see both the sunset and sunrise. For dinner, we ate at the on-site restaurant and chose from the restaurant menu; unlike a buffet, we could relax and enjoy our meal at the table. Breakfast was served in a private room. There were many breakfast options, and the rice in particular was delicious. The bath area was very clean. Bathing while looking out at both the sea and mountains was wonderful, and the Onsen water had a silky texture—each time I soaked in it, my skin felt smoother. It’s a Hotel I’d like to visit again. At welcome drinks they also offered alcohol, soft drinks, and snacks. It’s a comfortable place to stay.

The boat platter with spiny lobster looked like a lot, and I wondered if I could finish it, but it was so delicious that I ate it all in no time. Their signature nanbanzuke was also excellent. I’d love to stay again.

I’ve stayed here about 100 nights since last year and have really liked it, but this was the first time I truly felt the downside of having no front desk. The air conditioner remote’s batteries were dead, and the batteries had an expiration date of 2024. At night, it wouldn’t turn on. When I swapped in the TV remote’s batteries, it worked. I told the housekeeping staff the next day; they didn’t seem to have spare batteries, so they replaced the remote with one from another room.

I had previously stayed at an Itoen Hotel in Tochigi and didn’t have high expectations, but my impression changed completely. Ohnoya has clean Rooms, delicious food, and best of all, you can use the mahjong room as much as you like—considering the price, I was 100% satisfied. For my next trip, if it includes mahjong plus an Onsen, I will choose Itoen Hotel again.

I stayed on the Plan with a sauna. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but I arrived around 1:30 PM to leave my luggage, and I really appreciated that you were able to show me to my Room right away. I booked a standard Room, and it was next door to the sauna Room, which made it easy to go back and forth and very comfortable. The sauna was very clean, and I was happy that the amenities were Aesop and the hair dryer was ReFa. It was also nice that we could bring the welcome drink back to the Room, which helped us relax. The sauna itself felt great and was very relaxing. The only disappointment was that we were told we could enjoy the sauna from check-in until check-out, but when I tried to use it in the morning, the power was off and I couldn’t use it. There wasn’t an instruction manual either; since it had been running automatically when we arrived, I didn’t know how to operate it and felt a bit stuck. Other than that, everything was very comfortable, and I think this Accommodation is highly recommended for sauna lovers.

The sunset was very beautiful, and we were very satisfied, but the breakfast was a little disappointing.

The best thing is how quiet it is. The front desk is not staffed at all times, and you don’t need to leave your key when you go out, so you can stay here without any hassle. The single rooms are also larger and more comfortable than those in a Business Hotel. There is a coin laundry and a public bath, and parking is free. You can reach Yonaha Maehama Beach right away by walking through the property, making early-morning or sunset strolls wonderful.

The sun viewed from the ocean-view Room is endlessly captivating. The building is older, but it offers a spacious layout and is kept very clean. The meals when I stayed before were also delicious, made with local ingredients.

You can wash your dog here, and there’s a park nearby, making it very dog-friendly. The food was also great, and we’d love to come again.

Natural Onsen baths and a wide variety of delicious dishes. It feels like a luxury Onsen Hotel from Japan’s Showa bubble era. There are older and newer wings, and from everywhere we enjoyed stunning views of the calm, rolling waves of Mikawa Bay. The lighthouse was charming and atmospheric. The many sets of Mikawa samurai armor and bridal kimono also gave us a sense of the history of Katahara Castle from the Sengoku period. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality.

We stayed for two nights on our trip to Okinawa. The Room was spacious and clean, which left a great impression. Since we got drenched in sweat during the trip, being able to use the coin laundry was a big help. Breakfast was satisfying—we could even have taco rice and (a small amount of) Soki soba. A few minor points that could be improved: - The elevator signage inside the Hotel was a bit hard to understand; I didn’t realize until the second day that there are vending machines besides the ones on the 1st floor. - There were no loungewear in the Room, and it took me a while to notice that you can freely pick them up from the elevator hall. - I only realized at the washing machines that detergent must be purchased at the front desk, so I had to make an extra round trip. None of these were really the Hotel’s fault—just things I would have figured out if I’d thought about it—but having them clearly noted would have been convenient.
