It was great that we could use the bath anytime. The open-air bath uses natural hot spring water, and the temperature was very hot, but it left my skin feeling smooth. The Room was also very spacious. There were power outlets next to the bed, which was a nice touch. However, the air conditioner vent was directly overhead, so it felt cold. The dining venue was very large, so even with many guests it didn’t feel too crowded. There was a wide variety of dishes and free drinks, so we were very satisfied. All of the desserts were especially delicious.

When the sun set into the sea, the clouds near the horizon turned deep red, and I was able to see the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen. Dinner was exceptionally high quality and just the right amount, so I’d definitely want to include meals when staying here. Breakfast was al

Yukata were provided. If possible, I would have appreciated having loungewear in the Room as well. Breakfast was very disappointing, as most items seemed to be frozen foods that were simply reheated. The rice, however, was cooked in a pot and was very delicious. The staff member on the floor had a pleasant smile.

It had switched to the early-summer menu. Even when I’m worn out from work and forget the sense of the season, staying at Sunset Susami always lets me head home feeling a little more refreshed. The creative dishes made with fresh, seasonal local ingredients are wonderful, and the Onsen—with different temperatures depending on where you bathe—is always excellent. The building is always kept spotless whenever I visit, and even when staff change over, they carefully clean tables after meals. One of this Accommodation’s charms is how strongly you can feel the staff’s sincerity. The special dessert introduced this time—the Inazumi Roll made by a front desk staff member—was truly delicious. The sponge was moist, and it paired perfectly with coffee. (As expected from a former Dojima Roll pastry chef—it really is on another level.) That’s given me yet another reason to stay at Sunset Susami. I love that I can always relax here (lol).

I chose to stay here based on past Reviews. This Hotel offers a relaxing, soothing atmosphere with a clean interior, spacious layout, and a quiet, serene setting. Dinner was more than ample and made with fresh ingredients—especially the bonito sashimi and seared bonito, which were outstanding. The Room was clean and generously sized, and I was able to unwind comfortably for the night. A very satisfying Hotel overall.

A nicely renovated hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed the water activities offered by the marine shop. Our kids loved every moment and are already asking to come back next year. The breakfast was also very good. However, the air conditioning is quite noisy and needs improvement.

The Room with a front-row view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge was spacious and spotless, and everything stood out as exceptional among all the Hotels and Accommodations we have visited so far; we could truly feel the Hotel’s thoughtful hospitality everywhere we looked. We had dinner in Kobe City and only breakfast at the Hotel, but the in-room breakfast was absolutely delicious. We happened to make a Reservation at this Hotel for our trip to Kobe, but thanks to the heartfelt care shown by all of your staff, we were able to spend a day that will remain a cherished memory. Despite the very low open price, the meals—such as the pilgrim menu—were generous in portion, and every dish was carefully prepared and wonderfully delicious. Both the Room and the entire property were thoroughly cleaned, so we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

Our stay coincided with Typhoon No. 9. Normally, dinner requires a Reservation, but since going out or ordering delivery was difficult, they kindly provided a special Okinawa soba dinner for us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the sauna, pool, or the starry sky we had been looking forward to, but thanks to the friendly staff, all-you-can-drink beverages and snacks, and the jacuzzi, we had a very satisfying stay.

I wanted to go glamping, so I searched around and made a Reservation here. The Facility and the food were, of course, excellent, but Mr. Hirao’s hospitality was outstanding—everything left me with only great impressions. Highly recommended for glamping beginners who have only ever stayed at a Hotel.

All the staff at the shuttle service, front desk, and restaurant were friendly, making for a very comfortable stay. The view from the room's window overlooked Kashikojima Island on the opposite shore. Although it was cloudy during our visit, the scenery was mystical and beautiful

We visited the Goto Islands for the first time to cheer on our family member competing in the Baramon King, and stayed as a family in a maisonette with a wide terrace. We compared Accommodation options from the time we made our Reservation a few months in advance and chose Kararito—and it was absolutely the right choice. We had some changes along the way, including adjusting the number of guests, and they handled everything kindly. They also arranged one meat-free meal for one of us, and thanks to the thoughtful staff, we had a very comfortable stay. We tried SUP for the first time as an activity. With their careful instruction, even someone who isn’t great at marine sports could enjoy it. Above all, dinner was outstanding! We had it 3 of our 4 nights. Each dish overturned what we expected from “Mexican,” delivering delicate flavors beyond imagination. The sauces and herbs paired with fresh local ingredients were exquisite—wine flowed easily and conversation came alive during a wonderful dinner time. The staff’s explanations of each dish were also clear and excellent. If I had one request, I would have loved to see about three breakfast options. The semi-open-air large bath was very relaxing, and our maisonette Room was bright, clean, and comfortable—making this a truly pleasant trip. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. They kindly provided Shuttle Service for us as we were traveling by bus, and we also saw them speaking thoughtfully to other guests in many situations. We had a hard time choosing a Hotel on Sado Island, but we are truly glad we chose this one. Thanks to all of you, our trip to S

Being able to enjoy a variety of alcoholic drinks during dinner was amazing! I was especially happy to have a Nagisa Beer server. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I also appreciated the free massage chair. There are many stairs to the large public bath, and even more to the panoramic open-air bath. It might be tough for elderly guests. However, the view and the hot spring water are wonderful, so I definitely recommend going.

We were planning an Onsen trip to celebrate my mother, and it was the first trip for three generations of our family. Since my mother cannot use the large public bath, we looked for a Room with a private open-air bath. Thanks to that, she was able to enjoy the Onsen. The bath in our Room was also fed by Onsen water, and she was very happy. We chose the standard kaiseki meal, but the portions were more than enough—so much that my sons had to give up at both dinner and breakfast. When I requested a cake for my mother’s 88th birthday celebration, they even prepared a red celebratory vest (chanchanko) for her as well, and we truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. The building was clean. The large public bath was small but spotless, and we were very satisfied. In the lobby there was a local sake tasting service, and in the morning there was also coffee service—everything felt very well provided. Our whole family was extremely satisfied. All of the staff were kind, and we had a comfortable stay. It became a wonderful celebratory trip. Thank you very much.

My son planned a relaxed, unhurried trip to visit Kasama Inari Shrine, Nakaminato Market, and buy melons in Hokota, and chose this Hotel for our stay. The Hotel itself may be older, but it has been beautifully renovated. The lobby and entrance are stylish spaces, and the view opens from the inlet out to the sea right in front of you—making a great first impression. The Room was also well designed with unnecessary items kept to a minimum. It felt clean and comfortable. Dinner was pleasantly healthy for us seniors, and we enjoyed it very much. It seemed a little light for my son’s generation, but the late-night ramen service is a nice touch (we missed it because our dinner was late). We wanted to enjoy dinner quietly and at a relaxed pace, but unfortunately it was noisy that day because we were dining alongside a large group of older guests. Breakfast was buffet-style with a good variety across different categories, and everything was tasty. Overall, it offered excellent value for money, and it’s a Hotel we would like to visit again.

I stayed here on a solo trip because I wanted to relax while looking out at the ocean. When I arrived, there was a live fish tank in the lobby with lots of fish swimming around. After check-in, a staff member guided me to my Room and explained everything along the way. When I opened the curtains, the ocean stretched out right in front of me! The large public Onsen bath seemed to use seawater, but it didn’t feel sticky at all and was very pleasant. I could enjoy ocean views not only from my Room, but also from the large public bath and the dining area, which left me feeling truly refreshed.

Dinner features a full-course pufferfish meal. Breakfast includes freshly cooked rice in an earthen pot, thickly sliced grilled salmon, shaved bonito flakes (a rare treat these days), fluffy rolled omelet, large soft pickled plums, lightly pickled cucumber and daikon radish, and more—showcasing attention to both ingredients and hospitality.

The front desk staff were very kind and gave me a warm welcome, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Water is very important to me, so I truly appreciate that you provided plenty of it. The tea bags in the Room were also excellent, with a special flavor I couldn’t find anywhere else. Everything was spotless down to the smallest details. Thank you so much to the housekeeping team—I was able to make wonderful memories thanks to you. One day during a meal, when I was coughing, a staff member kindly asked, “Would you like me to make some ginger tea?” Their thoughtful care truly warmed my heart.
