To escape the Tokyo heat, I visited Oku-Nikko again this year. With concerns about bears, I chose this Hotel because both the open-air bath and the guest rooms felt safe and reassuring. It was my first stay in several years, and perhaps due to the renovation, the room, baths, and lounge were all very clean, making for a comfortable Hotel stay. The meals were delicious; if I had to mention one thing, I would have appreciated a Japanese-style option on the second night of my two-night stay. I would definitely like to stay again.

With mountain ranges and a lake, it’s the perfect place to fully enjoy nature. The open-air bath at dusk and early in the morning was extremely satisfying. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Goshikinuma is just steps from the Hotel, and with great weather we enjoyed an amazing holiday. I’d love to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

We stayed here with four adults—my parents and us as a couple. This was our second visit, and we were able to relax thanks to the seasonal cuisine and wide selection of drinks. Since everyone has different preferences, the all-inclusive plan made it easy for all of us to enjoy both the meals and the baths, making it a truly wonderful trip.

The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and was very satisfying. The sashimi-style konjac with salted cherry leaves and the river seaweed butter were especially delicious and memorable. Both the Accommodation and my Room were clean, and the bath was very pleasant. I do

We stayed in connecting rooms with three generations—our children, our grandchild, and us. On the day we arrived, we went to Dino Park; early the next morning, we visited the Dinosaur Museum; and in the afternoon, we had a great time playing at the Hotel. Our 8-year-old grandchild was thrilled and said, “This is the best Hotel I’ve ever stayed at!” It didn’t feel old at all—perhaps it has been renovated—and there were plenty of play areas for kids, so we could enjoy both indoors and outdoors. The food was delicious as well. My husband says he wants to come back in winter, and our children want to return again with all the cousins. The nature was beautiful, and it turned into a wonderful summer vacation for both adults and kids. Thank you.

It was a Hotel with an outstanding view and location overlooking Lake Biwa. We made a Reservation for two twin Rooms for our family, and they even connected the two Rooms internally—service beyond what we expected. Although there are limited hours of use, the panoramic bath on the 7th floor was also great. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we had a very pleasant stay.

Tatami with beds, very relaxing. Traditional hospitality with tabi socks provided. The bath on the 18th floor offers a stunning night view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building from the open-air bath. Breakfast exceeded expectations with New Year's osechi dishes. About 80% of guests were from overseas, but everyone had good manners, and the bath area was kept clean. There is a 7-Eleven convenience store across the street.

I traveled to the coastal area of Iwate and stayed here. A typhoon was approaching, so I was worried I might not be able to see the ocean right in front of me, but the weather held up on the day of my stay and I was able to enjoy the view. The meals featured mainly seafood, and the abalone in particular was incredibly delicious. I also appreciated the complimentary ice pop after bathing. It’s not a brand-new building, but my Room was clean, and all of the staff were warm and welcoming. Next time, I’d love to stay again on a sunny day. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay, following last year. Spacious and comfortable—our 7- and 5-year-old kids were thrilled and kept saying, “This place is the best!” Last year breakfast was Japanese-style, but this time it was Western-style, which seemed easier for the kids to enjoy.

It’s not a new Hotel, but it was kept clean and there were no issues. The meals were delicious. However, I’d like to see more menu options, even if the price is slightly higher.

The oceanfront room offered stunning views of the sea, which I admired every day. During sunset, I enjoyed walking to the pier and soaking in the pink hues of dusk. In the evenings, planes heading to Naha Airport could be seen flying close by through distant clouds. At 7 PM daily

I chose this property because it was newly opened. The Facility is new, and the large public bath was great. I ate out, so I can’t comment on the meals, but I thought the location and amenities were very good. Given the great location and newness, here are a few points that would make it even better: 1. Front desk service: This may have been partly due to how I explained it, but regarding issuing a Receipt, my request didn’t come across properly. In the morning I didn’t have time at the front desk to discuss it further. It was disappointing. 2. The bath is excellent, but despite being a new Facility, there was an odor from the drain in the washing area. That’s the one thing I’d like to see improved. 3. The canal is nearby and you can see it from your Room! At night the lights come on and I tried to take photos from my Room, but unfortunately the glass was dirty. I’d like to visit again, so I hope these points can be improved.

We were able to fully enjoy the atmosphere of this cultural heritage property with a charming Showa-era retro feel. In a quiet setting, we enjoyed the Onsen and delicious meals. The hospitality was relaxed and unhurried, helping us forget the bustle of the city. Next time, we hope to try the fugu cuisine.

The station and Fisherman’s Wharf are within walking distance, so we had no trouble finding places to eat around the Hotel. At the welcome drink lounge on the first floor, they also offered sake, and we enjoyed local Kushiro sake. Because I have a skin allergy, I was glad they provided POLA shampoo and conditioner. After checkout, they let us keep our car parked until the Norokko train arrived at Kushiro Station at 13:05, so we could go out without worry. The staff were also very kind.

My husband stayed here on a solo motorcycle trip. He was very pleased that he could relax at this quiet seaside Accommodation. He also said the seafood was delicious. Thank you very much.

This was our fourth stay. The facilities, amenities, and service were all outstanding. The staff are friendly while providing truly first-class service. The Shuttle Service to the beach was prompt and courteous, and they were genuinely kind in the way they spoke to our children. At breakfast at Gusuku, they cleared our dishes many times and kept everything comfortable throughout. Also, although it wasn’t on the buffet menu, when my child asked for ice cream, instead of the typical “Sorry” response you often hear in Japan’s service industry, they handled it flexibly and kindly provided it. When we were taking family selfies on the property, a staff member even came running over from a distance to help us without being asked. There were so many touching moments—everything about their hospitality made us certain we want to stay again. It’s surprising that this is rated one star; it feels like two stars or more.

For our first night in Kyoto, we wanted to go bar-hopping, so we chose the RIHGA Royal Hotel near the station. There is a free Shuttle Service at certain times, but it’s only a 7–8 minute walk. From the welcome to being shown to our Room, the service was excellent. A fully separated bath and toilet is a must for us, so the Japanese-Western style Room was perfect. The bathtub is very spacious—big enough even for men to stretch out. It also fills quickly, which was great. Another plus: two bath towels per person, two face towels per person, and bathrobes. The Room was clean and very well maintained. We checked out early in the morning, and they handled it kindly and smoothly. This is a Hotel I’d love to stay at again.

This time we stayed in the dog-friendly Room with our daughter and her husband. My spouse and I have stayed here four or five times, and we keep coming back because the meals are delicious and the service is very attentive. It was our daughter’s first visit, and she was happy with how good the food was. Since it was our first time visiting in summer, we were surprised by how many insects there were and how crowded it was, but we were able to spend comfortably in the Room. However, one Room for four people and two dogs felt a bit cramped, so next time we plan to book two Rooms. The Room was clean and had no dog odor.

Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. The seafood was excellent, and even the rice was so tasty that I would visit again just for the meals. The guest room was simple, but the mattress on the bed was firm in a good way, making it very comfortable to sleep on. A

I stayed at a reasonable price with the Short Stay Plan. Check-in was after 6:00 PM, but there was a complimentary drink service for guests in the lobby lounge, and I was able to relax while enjoying the beautiful garden view. The next morning, I took a walk in Nakajima Park, which continues from the Hotel’s garden across a narrow road. The Room was clean, and I think it is a satisfying Hotel.
