We stayed in the Luxury Suite as a family of four. The Ryokan slippers were a bit hard and uncomfortable to wear. Other than the distance and cold walk from the Room to the large public bath, everything was excellent. The rental yukata and hair accessories were lovely. On snowy days, we recommend avoiding the Yamanami Highway. We are grateful for the front desk's kind advice on the best route home.

The golden sea and sky at sunset were beyond words. We cooked our own meals in the in-room kitchen. Making dinner with local ingredients felt luxurious and relaxing in a way that’s different from dining at a restaurant. Best of all was the sauna with self löyly! We worked up a

We stayed as three families this time. Although it was June, the rainy season had already ended and there were no typhoons, so we had perfect sunny weather every day—an amazing location. The ocean and the pool were both beautiful, and we spent most of our time in Okinawa enjoying ourselves at the Hotel. In any case, the ocean and pool are outstanding. We stayed in the South Tower, and since the Main Tower and South Tower are separated it felt a bit like a maze, but the kids enjoyed that “maze” feeling, and we did too—saying it was good exercise after meals. The food was delicious, and we felt each staff member’s hospitality was excellent, so we would like to stay again. Also, the zipline drone video footage was incredible and truly moving—our top recommendation. The bath water temperature was quite hot and our child didn’t soak in it, so we think it would be better if it were a little cooler. Also, having cups available—not just a water dispenser—would make it easier to drink. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our stay.

The Room was clean, but I was disappointed that a distinctive odor often associated with foreign guests remained. I understand that people from many countries stay here, but as a Japanese guest, the smell was noticeable. Since sensitivity to odors varies by person, some may not mind it, but I would like you to check for any lingering smells after each cleaning.\nOther than that, there were no issues, and I would like to stay again.

Within walking distance of Toguchi-no-Hama Beach on Irabu Island. The cove facing the Hotel was magical, with the water shifting between green and blue depending on the time of day. On the first floor there’s a supermarket (maybe?) that also sells bento boxes, so it’s easy to pick up lunch, and in the evening it gets lively with locals stopping by after work. What’s more, the dining place on the second floor has a tatami seating area, so we could drink, eat, and relax while enjoying an island dinner—and even if we got pleasantly tipsy, it was great knowing we could head straight back to our Room. The building is older and there’s no elevator, but everything feels clean overall—and above all, every staff member is cheerful and smiling! That really feels unique to this island. Oh—and the bath is not an Onsen; however, the unit bath is spacious and clean! Hotels in town are convenient too, but this is a place where you can spend quiet, relaxing time that you only get on a remote island. We’ll be back!!

From arrival at the parking lot to departure, the hospitality was outstanding. The ocean-view Room with a private semi-open-air bath was also wonderful. We were satisfied with everything, including the complimentary hot stone sauna, wine, and 11:00 check-out. They even prepared a lantern for us when we went out for a walk nearby—truly excellent service. The only slight disappointment was that the open-air bath switched between men and women, so we couldn’t use it the next day.

We stayed in a Japanese-style room as a family of four with children. Although the accommodation is older, we were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room, allowing us to relax comfortably. The stunning ocean view, sleeping to the sound of waves, and rejuvenating Onsen made our stay truly enjoyable. Our children had so much fun that they even asked to stay another night! It seems there was plenty for them to enjoy within the facility. While we dined out during our stay, Makurazaki offers not only delicious seafood like bonito but also other delightful dishes. We loved the relaxed pace unique to this region and found it very charming. Next time, we plan on staying longer in this town and will definitely choose this same accommodation again!

It was a very homey accommodation! Some of the amenities felt a bit dated (the desk lamp in the closet was not functional), but the breakfast was delicious, the garden had a wonderful tropical vibe, and I was able to relax! Thank you.

It was our first stay, and with a typhoon approaching we were a little anxious, but thanks to the wonderful service and kindness of everyone at the Palace Hotel on the 3rd floor, we felt very reassured and had a comfortable stay. Our child was also very happy, saying that among all the Hotels we have stayed at so far, this one had the kindest staff. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a birthday trip to Shikoku! The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the view. Being able to enjoy that scenery in our own private space was truly bliss. We were lucky with the weather, and the sunset, starry sky, and sunrise—every time of day—were the best views we’ve ever seen! The Room was also very stylish and spotless, and it made us want to stay forever. We chose a meal-included Plan where everything is placed in the fridge/freezer. Dinner had a very fresh and delicious salad, but the rest felt more like bento-box quality. Breakfast looked exactly like the photos—so stylish—and having it with that view felt like a dream! The soup and bagel were delicious as well. For this price, this space offers incredible value—we’re extremely satisfied! We definitely want to come back again! Thank you for an unforgettable memory.

Before visiting Himakajima, I researched accommodations and found that the reviews were not very favorable, so my expectations were low. However, the staff at the accommodation were all incredibly hospitable, providing exceptional service throughout my stay. While it was not an onsen, the large public bath was spacious and relaxing, offering a similar experience with views of Ise Bay and Mikawa Bay. The sunset from the room was extraordinary—a scene reminiscent of a novel's opening line describing "a magnificent twilight," visible across the peninsula. The only disappointment was hearing that octopus catches have been poor recently. I look forward to visiting again when I have another opportunity.

If I had to mention a downside, the exterior and interior felt a bit worn, which made the atmosphere seem a little intimidating. However, the bath was clean and the Onsen water flows continuously, so it was amazing! The meals were delicious with no complaints, and since it was a buffet we really enjoyed it! One more thing… it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t connect external devices to the TV. It can’t be helped given the Facility setup, but the game console we brought ended up being useless. We also wanted to mirror our smartphone screen on the TV, but that wasn’t possible either. We played cards and table tennis with my siblings instead, but it was still a little disappointing.

Although the weather felt like the rainy season had returned, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the observation room (Gekko). Because the building is located on a hill, we had a clear view of the Shimanto River and the surrounding mountains. The Onsen water was excellent, with a slightly silky texture. For dinner we chose Sawachi cuisine featuring local dishes, and this time it was served as individual small plates rather than one large platter. Overall, I think it was a truly wonderful Accommodation. However, please drive carefully—the Accommodation is reached only after an extremely winding mountain road (narrow roads). Also, although it looks like it’s only about 5 minutes to town (convenience stores, etc.) on the map, as mentioned above it’s up in the mountains, so at night it’s pitch-dark and very dangerous! If you want to bring alcohol or cigarettes (the smoking area is outside the building), I recommend buying them before check-in. One more thing: they lend you samue loungewear, and it was made from incredibly comfortable fabric—perfect to wear. (If they sold it, I definitely would have bought it! It really was that comfortable.) I’ve stayed at several places near the Shimanto River before, and I can genuinely recommend this one. Lastly, thank you very much to all of the staff.

A quiet, relaxing Accommodation. The bath feels wonderful and leaves your skin silky smooth. The hot water is excellent. My knee pain eased. I felt refreshed, like my body became lighter. I want to visit again!

In the morning, we took the ferry from Aka Island. After doing SUP in the morning, we stopped by to leave our luggage. There was still time before check-in, but they kindly let us change clothes in our Room. We enjoyed riding a bike in the afternoon. It was great. We were looking forward to dinner at the Hotel, but we were informed a week in advance that it wouldn’t be available. I wish we had known that when making the Reservation.

I’m satisfied and would be happy to stay again if I have the opportunity.

The scenery was wonderful, and the calm atmosphere made for a very comfortable stay. It was great to be able to see the horizon of the Genkai Sea from the Room. However, when I woke up in the middle of the night and looked outside through the window, I could see stars—and I thought how much more beautiful it would have been if the window had been clean. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you very much.

This is a conveniently accessible Stays along the Sazanami Street. There is ample space on the premises, so you can unload your luggage at the entrance before moving your car to the parking space. On the first floor, there is a lobby and front desk, as well as a bright and open café salon and dining area facing the lake. The atmosphere inside the Property is quite stylish, with a pension-like feel. There seems to be a shortage of staff, so contact with staff is mostly limited to the front lobby and dining area. Accommodation is only on the second floor. All Rooms have large windows facing the lake. Since there is no elevator, some guests may find it difficult to carry their luggage up to the second floor. The Room I stayed in had a panoramic bath with a full glass window on the lake side, continuing into a tatami Room with a bed placed across the glass wall. You can enjoy a wide view of the lake from the bath through the glass wall while sitting on the bed or chair. The bath is maintained at a comfortable 41 degrees Celsius 24 hours a day. Since the bath is on the window side, it is not expected to be cold even in winter. Including the washroom and toilet, the Room is either newly built or renovated, making it functional and comfortable. The bed's comfort and Room temperature control are excellent. Thanks to good soundproofing, you cannot hear any traffic noise despite frequent traffic passing by. Although there is quite a loud BGM playing in the corridors and dining area, it is not audible inside the accommodation Room. The dining area has counter seats facing the large windows on the lake side. The long counter is divided into sections for two people each with tall partitions. Although the guests were quiet, you can hear other guests' conversations. There also seem to be table seats that are not at the counter. The cuisine is gourmet as per the Review. The dishes seem to reflect the chef's pride and dedication (as expected), which may lead to differing preferences.

The Room and meals were both satisfactory. I would like to use it again if I have the chance.
