From the moment I was picked up, the staff made a great impression, and as soon as I stepped into the Hotel, I was soothed by a wonderful aroma scent. I was shown to a private Room to check in. The Room had a simple design and was very comfortable to stay in. I also enjoyed choosing my favorite scent with the aroma diffuser in the Room. This time I joined the 1-night, 2-day fasting course. Since it wasn’t a water-only fast, I had carrot juice, homemade umeboshi (pickled plum), bancha tea, and more for dinner and again the next morning. After checkout, they treated me to rice porridge, miso soup, handmade umeboshi, hana ingen beans (runner beans), and bancha tea—everything was very satisfying. Personally, the hana ingen beans slowly simmered over two days with beet sugar were so delicious that I couldn’t help asking if they were available for purchase. After check-in, I also received a brown-rice onigiri with umeboshi, which I enjoyed on my long-distance bus ride home. There is no TV in the Room, but Wi‑Fi is available so you can use your smartphone. However, since it was such a good opportunity, I tried not to use my phone during my stay as much as possible. Time flew by as I read health magazines in the lounge with herbal tea in hand; opened the window in my guest room to read my own book while listening to birdsong; and reviewed personal finances that had been put off due to everyday busyness. From the Onsen bath area in the morning, you can see Mt. Asama—the view was truly wonderful. If there’s one thing to mention: since exercise is part of my routine personally, having showers in every Room would have made it even more comfortable by allowing me to rinse off quickly after working out. Other than that minor point, everything exceeded expectations—the staff were lovely throughout—and it was a stay I would definitely like to repeat.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a gift of a hot towel and chocolates at check-in. Of course, the staff’s hospitality was also excellent. I had checked in advance that there was a gym and spa, but the gentle, convincing suggestion—“Your Accommodation Room is on the Mt. Fuji side, and the spa is on the Skytree side, so please feel free to use it”—led me to enjoy both. The Room décor was elegant and refined, and I was amazed they even provided binoculars (unfortunately, the weather was bad so I couldn’t use them). The amenities and drinks were more than sufficient, but when I learned there were several types of pillows available, I couldn’t resist requesting one. Not only are the facilities outstanding, but every single staff member—including those at the breakfast restaurant—provided attentive service; everything on the service side was flawless. Hats off to them. I’ve never had such a comfortable stay before; my companion and I kept saying “We don’t want to leave,” as we checked out.

I’ve stayed at other Dormy Inn Hotels several times on business trips, and everything—cleanliness, the Onsen, and the meals—has always been excellent. This time we visited for a family trip, and my wife and child were thrilled. It made our trip truly enjoyable, and we’d love to stay again!

Since I arrived by train, the direct connection to the station was perfect. I could also see the Onomichi sea from the Room and had a wonderful time. The high ceiling made the Room feel more spacious than it actually was. The Room only had a shower, which was a downside, but overall it was a very good stay. I left relatively early the next day as well, and since it is directly connected to the Hotel, it was very convenient.

This was our first stay! Just as the Reviews said, it was a very dog-friendly Accommodation. I accidentally left a large piece of luggage at check-out, but even though it was during a holiday period, they responded quickly and mailed it to me, which was a huge help. We only had breakfast this time, but it was delicious. Next time, I’d like to book dinner as well. It’s an Accommodation that’s kind to both dogs and guests, and we had a wonderful holiday trip. Thank you very much for having us during our stay. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our meals comfortably on a floor with a wonderful view. In particular, the handwritten message and lovely illustrations at breakfast were very soothing, and we truly felt the staff’s kindness. Thank you. The Room was spacious, and I was able to relax comfortably. The meals were also delicious. I was satisfied with the Hotel amenities and in-room facilities. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

I have stayed here several times, and I am always satisfied with the Hotel staff, the Room, and the breakfast. The cakes and bread at the lobby lounge & boutique “Fountain” are reasonably priced yet very delicious, and taking them back to my Room to enjoy is something I look forward to every time.

This was my first stay at an all-inclusive Accommodation, and I was truly able to relax both in time and in mind. It was wonderful to enjoy views of the beautiful garden and Matsushima from the Room. The bath was a comfortable size, and it was unusual (and convenient) that it was on an upper floor, so I went in many times. The meals were genuinely delicious just as the Reviews said—I wanted to eat everything—but waiting in line a little helped prevent overeating, and I found it enjoyable to watch everything being prepared while looking forward to it. Above all, I felt that one reason it became such a luxurious experience was that all the staff provided service efficiently, with smiles and a calm sense of ease. The lounge at night also had a lovely atmosphere, and we were able to relax and talk as a couple, which was great. I would love to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

We could even see Mt. Fuji—just as my parents had always said—and we were very satisfied! We stay at various Ryokan, but the meals here were especially generous and delicious. The staff were kind to our child as well, and our child seemed to love it the whole time and stayed in a great mood. We’d love to stay again when we visit Shizuoka!

The Taiza crab we were most looking forward to was served in our preferred style and at our own pace, allowing us to fully enjoy it. The other fish dishes besides crab were also incredibly delicious—the meals were outstanding. The shuttle service to the station was very helpful

This was our family’s first stay, and it was wonderful. With my birthday coming up the following week, we happened to mention it at check-in, and they surprised me at dinner with live music and a dessert—plus sweets as a gift—to celebrate! We hadn’t informed them in advance about the Reserver, so I was truly touched by the surprise. Thank you very much. All of the staff were professional—from guiding our car on arrival to explaining the Hotel, as well as the lounge and restaurant teams—and they made our stay comfortable from start to finish. The housekeeping staff also greeted us warmly. The Facility was just as beautiful as in the photos, and everything—from the amenities to the in-room sweets and beverages—was thoughtfully selected, which really conveyed their hospitality. The restaurant meals for both breakfast and dinner were vibrant, uncompromising, and absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed by this top-class Accommodation. We will definitely return. After we arrived, we were about to head to the airport due to a flight change, but you ran over to let us know the airport was closed. This was my first stay at Dormy Inn, and I finally understood why my daughters always say, “This Hotel is great” whenever they use it on their trips. It goes without saying that it was quiet and the breakfast was delicious. What I personally loved most was the bottled water in the fridge—it was incredibly cold and felt amazing on my sweaty throat. Since it’s often left outside the fridge at other places, I was genuinely happy about that. There were also snacks provided, which helped satisfy a small hunger. Having a TV in the bathroom was a first for me, and watching a program while soaking in the bath was such a unique experience. The staff were all cheerful and efficient, which left a great impression. Thanks to this stay, I had a wonderful time in Matsue. I truly enjoyed the rare culinary experience—game meat, river fish, a variety of homemade dishes, herbal liqueurs, and more—things you simply can’t taste at home. The unpretentious, rustic atmosphere was also wonderful. I even bought some of the incredibly delicious rice as a souvenir, and I’m still savoring the memories after returning home.

Everything—the views, the Room, the baths, the meals, and the hospitality—was outstanding. My whole family kept saying again and again that we had never stayed at such a wonderful Ryokan. First of all, the baths! The view of Otaru spread out below from the open-air bath was breathtaking. (We also really appreciated that the amenities were from a well-known cosmetics brand and that towels were always available.) Inside the Ryokan, there were furnishings that evoked the former prosperity of the Herring Mansion, making it an irresistible place for history lovers. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I especially can’t forget the potato with butter sauce—a long-loved specialty of this Ryokan. It was such an incredible time that I almost didn’t want to recommend it to others. I definitely want to come back again next time.
