Thank you for your hospitality the other day. When I told you I can’t eat raw fish, thank you for preparing alternative dishes. The food looked great and tasted wonderful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary extra dish. The bath warmed me up so well that I stayed warm for a long time afterward. The detox water after the bath was also delicious. It was great to be offered a draft beer as a welcome drink at check-in—it was the perfect refreshing drink after a long drive. I would love to stay with you again.

On this trip, we made a Reservation for three twin Rooms for three groups: my son and his wife with their infant, another family, and my third son. The in-room bath was a little small, but it was separate from the toilet, which made it easy to bathe our infant safely in the Room. The view of the sea in Beppu from the Room was also very beautiful. The Onsen was not too hot and felt great. The shower had a ReFa shower head. There was a wide variety of food, and my younger son and daughters-in-law were very satisfied. The staff kindly spoke to my eldest son’s child (who is still only two) and even lent us some toys. They also lent my other daughter-in-law, who was holding an infant, a basket-like baby bed so the baby could lie down, which made her very happy. Thank you to the lounge staff. I was also surprised that guests go barefoot throughout the Hotel—there were no slippers at all. It was very relaxing, and even our toddler felt safe walking around as if we were at home. We were extremely satisfied and would love to stay again if we have another opportunity.

I traveled to the coastal area of Iwate and stayed here. A typhoon was approaching, so I was worried I might not be able to see the ocean right in front of me, but the weather held up on the day of my stay and I was able to enjoy the view. The meals featured mainly seafood, and the abalone in particular was incredibly delicious. I also appreciated the complimentary ice pop after bathing. It’s not a brand-new building, but my Room was clean, and all of the staff were warm and welcoming. Next time, I’d love to stay again on a sunny day. Thank you very much.

Facing the Kanmon Straits, it was soothing to watch the ships passing through all the time. The meals were carefully selected and delicious. It was also great to be able to see the straits from the bath; however, the bath was quite crowded with many local residents, which surprised me a little. As a request, I think it would be relaxing if you could use some aroma fragrance or incense in the corridor where the Room is located.

I made a Reservation to unwind before the Obon holidays. I enjoyed a luxurious, unhurried stay—soaking in the in-room Onsen and doing nothing while gazing out at the forest. I’d love to visit again in another season.

This was my fourth stay—I’m a repeat guest. I’m always comforted by the warm hospitality of the staff. I’m giving 4 stars because dinner felt less filling than before. I’d be happy if you could serve local fish. Breakfast was excellent, just as expected. I’d love to come again.

This was my second visit. Last time I came in winter, so there were no rice plants and the paddies were muddy. I wanted to return during the lush green season. Bathing and dining while looking out over the rice fields and the distant mountains was truly refreshing. Both dinner and breakfast featured plenty of local ingredients, and everything was delicious. I will definitely visit again.

I stayed here last year and it was so comfortable that I came back again this year. You can use the pool until late at night, the Room has a great view, and the on-site restaurant is excellent. It’s efficiently managed, so there are quite a few self-service aspects. That’s convenient with no hassle, but older guests may find it a bit confusing. Having a front-loading washing machine in the Room is extremely helpful (detergent is also provided). If you plan to enjoy the pool and other facilities, be sure to make your Reservation in the Central Building, as each building is separate.

The hotel was conveniently located near the station, and the late-night check-in process was smooth. It was also a plus that the large public bath had a sauna. Even with the cheapest Plan that included a buffet breakfast, there were both Japanese and Western options, as well as desserts. I was also impressed that staff opened the lids to keep the food warm when I approached. I felt they provided great service despite limited resources.

I think both the Room and the Hotel were thoroughly cleaned; everything was very spotless. Perhaps because my Room was on the top floor, the view was wonderful, and I found myself looking outside again and again. The layout also felt spacious—there was plenty of room even with my suitcase opened on the floor, and I really appreciated having a table-and-chair set as well. The only downside was the shower curtain. Whether it was too short or not wide enough, the floor ended up getting wet all three times (and I’m usually careful when showering). From another perspective, though, the service from an experienced female front desk staff member was excellent. She kindly responded to my request for “a place within a 15-minute walk where I can drink quietly alone and enjoy good tuna,” and explained how to get there in a very thoughtful way. Thanks to her, I got there without getting lost—and it turned out to be the best tuna I’ve ever had. I was also able to relax and take my time. A Hotel with staff who provide such attentive service will surely help younger employees grow as well (sorry if that sounds presumptuous). It’s also a big plus that there is a restaurant, a 24-hour convenience store, and a bakery on the first floor of the building where the Hotel is located. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay.

Because it was a three-day weekend right at the start of summer vacation, it ended up a little over our original budget—but we wanted to stay here so badly that we made the Reservation anyway. And once we actually stayed… it was worth every yen—no, even more than that. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was even better than expected: right in front of us were white sand and a blue sea. There were quite a few families and international guests, but at night it was very quiet. You can head straight to the beach from the Hotel, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—dedicated beach sandals, a washing machine, towels, and more. I also really appreciated that when you take off your slippers there, you can place them neatly into a shoe box labeled with your Room name—something I found especially reassuring as someone who’s a bit particular about cleanliness. The Room was truly spacious, spotless, and very functional. Everything felt refined from corner to corner—the washbasin, furnishings, wall colors, decorations—all beautifully coordinated and calming. A small detail, but the loungewear fabric was very soft and had buttons so it stayed in place comfortably. The semi-open-air bath in the guest room had excellent water quality and temperature. Being able to soak slowly while looking out at the ocean—with no insects flying around—was pure bliss. We enjoyed our in-room meals while chatting pleasantly with our attendant; everything was delicious. The simmered whole kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was especially impressive—large and full of flavor—truly “this is Izu!” That said, personally I would have preferred beef as steak (even a small portion) rather than chilled shabu-shabu wrapped with vegetables. If many guests are older adults, it would be great if there were an option available even with an additional charge. Breakfast included many dishes as well—I ended up eating quite a lot first thing in the morning! Overall this Accommodation deserves high marks across the board; if I had to be strictly critical, dinner alone could have felt slightly more luxurious or surprising—something that makes you think “This is exceptional—I’ve never tasted anything like it.” Even so, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that I absolutely want to return again next year. Just as everyone’s Reviews say, this is truly a wonderful Accommodation. Considering the price, both the meals and the service are excellent. The free loaner play equipment and the staff’s hospitality are also outstanding. The bioluminescent plankton viewing event was a lot of fun, the rabbits are adorable, and you can relax at your own pace. One thing I would mention is that although there are two baths, there aren’t any photos—so it would be helpful to have something that shows the view and size.

The food was truly delicious. The dishes were so elaborate it was surprising, and the quality was so high I completely forgot I was staying in a cottage. I even made another Reservation right away and stayed again after just one day. I chose the same meal again, and it was genuinely excellent. And then there’s the open-air Onsen surrounded by vast, unspoiled nature as far as the eye can see—it’s truly something special. I love the carbonated Onsen water as well, and overall I was completely satisfied with the cottage, the scenery, and especially the food. Even though it was cloudy, after dinner at night I went outside, and I could clearly capture many summer stars even with my iPhone. This is an Accommodation I would definitely love to visit again.
