Having a free-flowing natural Onsen in the Room that you can enjoy 24 hours a day is truly luxurious. The night we stayed, we experienced torrential rain and thunder for the first time and felt the power of the Aso mountains, yet even then we could hear bush warblers singing. It was a trip where we fully enjoyed nature. The hosts were wonderful people, and I understand why this Accommodation is so hard to book. Breakfast was generous, and above all, every dish was delicious—another highlight of our stay. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

This was my third stay, following last year, with visits in June and July this year. With the cool highland climate, I have also made a Reservation for next month. The room was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy, so I had a comfortable stay. The staff’s service was generally excellent, though a few seemed to have some difficulty understanding Japanese. The Onsen private bath was clean and relaxing, and I was very satisfied. The food quality was high, with great ingredients prepared deliciously. It seems they had my previous stay on record from last month, and they thoughtfully ensured the menu did not overlap—an attentive touch that made me very happy. The portion sizes were just right, though younger guests might find them a bit small. One suggestion: the dress code at meals is smart casual, but as this is a Resort Hotel, it may be nice to allow dining in loungewear so guests can relax. Some airlines provide pajamas in first or business class on long-haul flights to help passengers enjoy meals comfortably. I would appreciate it if you could consider this. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

We decided to take a family trip after seeing a YouTuber’s video. When you open the Room door, straight ahead is a fixed center window with an unobstructed ocean view. It’s a refreshing scene where the blue sea and blue sky feel as if they blend into one. For three of us, the staff prepared two beds plus a futon in the tatami corner. We rested very comfortably. The Onsen information explained that the source water is lukewarm, and that alternating between the mist sauna and the regular-temperature Onsen is effective, so we tried it. Dinner was a course meal. Because we made an all-inclusive Reservation, it applied during meals as well—we enjoyed wine and beer, of course, and even the apple juice was delicious. The presentation was beautiful, and we had freshly baked bread with olive oil. Breakfast was titled “Mom’s Breakfast,” and in the kitchen all of the women were working energetically. Having freshly cooked rice served straight from the pot was especially delicious. There was also a morning yoga class, which we joined. Even though it was mostly gentle poses, I sweated an incredible amount during the lesson. And after loosening up comfortably, it was time for another dip in the lukewarm source Onsen! The lounge offered sake tasting and a coffee machine as well, and for late-night snacks we had curry. There’s actually no TV in the Room, but we didn’t miss it at all. An aroma set with a wood-themed design was provided in our Room too, which also felt very relaxing. The Facility throughout the building was spotless. You can choose from samue loungewear, pajamas, or T-shirts for indoor wear—many guests paired pajama bottoms with a T-shirt as their outfit around the property. I kept thinking “I want to go again!” but since it takes five hours by car from our home, we won’t be able to visit for a while. Still, this is an Accommodation I’d love to return to. I hope this helps others.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday. The sashimi came with daikon carved into a crane, and there was also sekihan (red rice). Everything looked beautiful and tasted great, leaving both our stomachs and hearts full. All of the staff were wonderful and very considerate, which made our time here truly enjoyable. The Hotel is located right in front of Miyajima Port, making access excellent and extremely convenient. Even before check-in and after check-out, we could use the lounge and enjoy ice cream, coffee, and other drinks. Depending on the time of day, there was also a momiji manju service, plus vouchers to redeem momiji manju at shops on Miyajima (including fried momiji), and candy ice cream after the bath—everything was thoughtfully provided. The facilities were very clean, and the buffet featured carefully prepared dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. With an all-inclusive plan that included alcohol as well, we were very satisfied overall. The lemon herb tea in the restaurant was especially delicious; we highly appreciated that it used Hiroshima lemons and herbs, to the point that we wanted to buy it. We think it would be great if it were sold in the Hotel’s souvenir corner or similar shop.

I finally visited this long-awaited Hotel for the first time. I called on the day of arrival and requested Shuttle Service to Chokoku-no-Mori Station. Because the number of Rooms is limited, neither the dining areas nor the Onsen ever felt crowded, and I was able to relax at a very leisurely pace. The staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding, making it a truly meaningful stay. The cocktail pairing at dinner was a wonderful experience, with cocktails I would not normally order myself. Brunch also offered a wide variety of options, and it was a delight to enjoy champagne and wine from the morning. I felt this Accommodation is easy to use even for solo travelers. The Room was spacious and uncluttered, so it felt like pets wouldn’t be able to get into mischief. It also felt reassuring even with a baby. There was a large trash bin, and being able to throw everything away in one place was more convenient than having multiple small bins. Meals were great as well—BBQ was prepared for each Room, so we only had to grill. The meat was very delicious, and the rice had already been cooked in advance, which showed how thoughtfully everything is arranged. There is very little direct interaction with staff, but if you need anything and call, they come quickly and help. The in-Room bath was wonderful, and there is also a large public bath where you can enjoy different types of baths. The large public bath was almost private during our stay. Each Room also has a cart, making it easy to get to the large public bath. Driving the cart was a fun bonus. There are many insects outside, but measures are taken so they don’t get into the Room or onto the balcony, and there were none at all in the large public bath. A lot of insects fly around outdoors, but it’s impressive how well they prevent them from coming inside. Insect repellent is also provided, which made us feel fairly at ease. It’s an Accommodation I’d like to visit again—next time for a Multiple Night Stay.

The Japanese breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, letting us enjoy local ingredients, and we were very satisfied from the morning. We were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen as well, making wonderful memories together as a family. We would love to stay again.

Just as shown in the photos on IKYU, the Accommodation is surrounded by nature, and the location overlooking the Kofu Basin is truly spectacular. The Room is compact, but its tent-like design makes it fun. The bath isn’t an Onsen, but the night view from the open-air bath was stunning and more than satisfying. Before dinner, we relaxed by swaying in a hammock on the terrace and taking our time by the campfire. Dining while watching the scenery gradually shift from dusk to a sparkling night view felt wonderfully luxurious, and the food was delicious. From the Room facilities and amenities to even small details like tableware and cutlery, everything showed careful attention, and overall it felt very tasteful. In the morning I woke up before dawn and spent time watching the Kofu Basin slowly brighten while looking out at Mt. Fuji. Having coffee by the campfire was a truly memorable experience—one I’m sure I’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend this Accommodation, though breakfast is self-prepared, so that point may come down to personal preference.

We stayed one night in the Modern Japanese Suite for our 2-year-old child’s birthday. The building, service quality, and food were all outstanding. Just as rumored, the impressive architecture, interiors, and many artworks felt extraordinary and were a joy to take in. The Room was also wonderful—the bay view was beautiful, and the clean, simple design made it very comfortable. The bath area was very spacious, with lounge chairs throughout where you could relax. Drinks were available inside as well, making it a bath you could happily stay in for hours. The changing room was kept clean too, with staff frequently replacing towels. In particular, the open-air bath at the large public bath on the first floor was surrounded by nature and truly excellent. And true to its name “King’s Buffet,” the selection was abundant and everything was delicious. The dinner steak and the seafood rice bowl at breakfast were of a quality you wouldn’t expect from a buffet—we were extremely satisfied. Because it was our child’s birthday, they took commemorative photos in the lobby at check-in and gave us printed photos at check-out. We were deeply impressed by their hospitality as well. It was a truly wonderful one-night stay. This is a Hotel we would definitely love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

We requested a birthday cake for our three-year-old grandchild at dinner. Since it was a buffet, it was difficult to coordinate the timing for all seven of us to be seated, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Two female foreign staff members kindly sang “Happy Birthday” and took lots of photos for us. Our whole family was truly moved. Thank you very much. We also really enjoyed the pool. Best of all, we could use the Onsen towels at the pool as well, and being able to spin-dry our swimsuits in a simple dehydrator was a huge help. The view from our Room was amazing too. Our three-year-old grandchild even cried after we got home, saying they didn’t want to go back home, so I think they had an amazing time. We would love to visit again in summer. Thank you very much.

This was my third stay. Shiretoko is one of my favorite places, and whenever I visit, I always choose to stay at Kitakobushi Resort Hotel. This time, we made a Reservation for three Rooms for seven family members, and we truly appreciated your hospitality. At the newly added private lounge, our whole family was able to relax together and enjoy a wonderful time. Also, thanks to having seats arranged in advance for dinner, all seven of us could dine together, which we were very pleased with.
