Kinnotake Sengokuhara is a Ryokan inspired by the famous Japanese tale "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" (Taketori Monogatari). This mysterious story, whose author remains unknown, tells of a beautiful woman courted by five men, none succeeding in winning her heart... and ends with a fleeting romance with the emperor before she is taken back to the moon. With this enchanting tale as its concept, we have created a harmonious retreat blending Hakone's natural beauty with playful and extraordinary spaces designed to provide relaxation and escape from everyday life.

The guest rooms, including the terrace, are spaciously designed with over 60 square meters. Our natural Onsen with free-flowing hot spring water will ease your tension and promise a relaxing moment. In addition to the natural Onsen, we also offer facilities such as a stone sauna, lava bath, fitness gym with an attached studio, fitness pool, and outdoor heated pool.

A single accommodation, "Hotel Iya Onsen," is located on the cliffs of the Iya Valley. An open-air bath is situated at the bottom of the valley, approximately 170 meters down via cable car, where you can soak while enjoying the stunning views of the gorge. The beauty of the valley can also be admired from the guest rooms.

Located just a 7-minute drive from Nagano Station and Zenkoji Temple, and about a 10-minute walk from the Nagano Prefectural Office, our property offers excellent accessibility. A long-established Property located on the slopes of Mount Eboshi, one of the five peaks of Mount Aso, preserving the Jigoku Onsen which first opened in 1803. Stepping into the main building, which is over 100 years old and has been renovated after the Kumamoto Earthquake, feels like entering a different world, as if traveling back in time. The Onsen features three different sources, offering 11 baths across four locations, each with unique water qualities and atmospheres. Guests can enjoy the "Suzume no Yu," a "miraculous bath" rich in sulfur content with water bubbling up from the ground, as well as the highly acidic "Moto no Yu" and "Tamago no Yu," choosing baths based on their benefits and purposes. The history of Ryokan Chōraku-en Yunosuke at Tamatsukuri Onsen is the history of Tamatsukuri Onsen itself. Tamatsukuri Onsen was established in the early Nara period by our ancestor, Hasegawa Toshikata. During the Edo period, the Hasegawa family was entrusted with the management of Tamatsukuri Onsen by the Matsue domain, holding the official title of "Yunosuke." In the first year of the Meiji era, they began operating a ryokan under the name Chōraku-en. For 140 years, they have had the honor of hosting numerous literary figures, dignitaries, and occasionally members of the imperial family.

Just 60 minutes from the city center, this Property features a popular Onsen with a strong alkaline pH of 11.3. Rooms with intricately designed floor pillars evoke the charm of traditional Japanese houses. Enjoy kaiseki cuisine prepared by the head chef, who holds the title of Shijo Shinryu master. Asahidake Onsen "Yumoto Yukomanso" is a Property located within Daisetsuzan National Park, where you can enjoy five natural hot spring sources and the great outdoors. Situated at Asahidake in the Daisetsuzan mountain range, Yukomanso is surrounded by majestic nature and beautiful alpine plants, beloved by many hikers. In spring, you can see budding plants amidst the lingering snow; in summer, vibrant alpine flowers in full bloom; in autumn, Japan's earliest autumn foliage; and in winter, the finest powder snow. The Onsen at Yukomanso has been continuously flowing since its discovery in 1914, providing over 300 liters of water per minute as its source.
