This is a historic Accommodation, yet the staff are full of energy, and operations from check-in to check-out are efficient with no wasted time. The seasonal cuisine is truly delicious, and getting to the various baths is an adventure—through maze-like corridors and, in some areas, even across a suspension bridge. It’s packed with excitement! You can have a wonderful stay just at Kikuya alone, making it an Accommodation you’ll want to visit again and again. Both check-in and check-out are well designed and smooth, so there’s no waiting—excellent! Thank you very much for taking such great care of us again.

This was a Hotel I’d wanted to stay at for a long time, and it was exactly as I’d hoped—the open-air barrel bath on the top floor and the terrace at night were amazing. I arrived late for breakfast and was told once that the scrambled eggs were sold out, but they quickly made more and brought them to me. Parking was also free for 24 hours per night, making it a great Hotel I’d truly like to stay at again. The only disappointment was that there was some dust left under the window when I opened the blinds. Still, all of the staff were kind, which made my stay even better.

It was a lovely Hotel just a 5-minute walk from Kamakura Station. The large public bath wasn’t huge, but it was more than sufficient, and the breakfast restaurant was excellent. A short walk from the Hotel, you’ll also find plenty of great restaurants. I felt the Onarimachi side had more good shops than Komachi Street, and the area was very comfortable to spend time in.\nThe Room wasn’t large, but it felt well cared for in every detail.

Meals were served in the Room, so we could relax without worrying about other dogs. The seasoning was excellent, and we enjoyed freshly cooked rice—it was truly delicious. The amenities were well stocked, and we were happy to have jinbei instead of yukata. Every staff member was friendly, and we had a wonderful vacation. We would definitely love to visit again.

First, I accidentally made a Reservation with the wrong gender, but you quickly brought us yukata in different sizes, which was very helpful. With fewer guests staying, the attentive, personalized service really stood out. We also enjoyed the complimentary pudding—it was delicious. The Onsen was available at night as well, so we could relax and take our time. The bed felt a bit firm and slightly uncomfortable to sleep on, but other than that we had no complaints at all. Also, it was pouring rain at checkout, and you kindly handed us towels—this helped us so much. We truly appreciated your thoughtful attention to detail. We would love to stay here again when we visit Kusatsu.

The guest room, hospitality and service, Onsen, Facility, and meals—everything far exceeded my expectations, and I was amazed at how satisfied I was. The atmosphere of the bath and the water were especially wonderful; I wanted to stay in forever. The food was also outstanding, and my wife was delighted. We also enjoyed playing table tennis, and thanks to the light exercise and the Onsen, we slept soundly at night—better than at home. We will definitely return together. I stayed here for my birthday and wanted to treat myself a little. The Room was well kept, and above all, the meals were delicious (a bit generous in portion size, though). The best part was being able to enjoy freshly baked bread at breakfast. The view from the balcony also gave me time to forget everyday life. And most of all, the Hotel staff provided polished, kind, and courteous service that made me want to come back whenever I feel like treating myself again. Perfect in every way!!! We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary trip. The meals were simply outstanding. Not only the food but also the tableware was beautiful, and my wife—who loves dishes—was so inspired that she bought lots of Kutani ware during our sightseeing in Kanazawa the next day. It was my wife’s first time in Kanazawa, and she seems to have fallen in love with the city. With only four Rooms, it was quiet, and the bath was excellent as well. We truly enjoyed a relaxing adults-only getaway. We would love to return again, not just for anniversaries.

We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and everything—from the building and location to the service and meals—was outstanding. They even took photos for her birthday celebration and handed us the developed prints at the end, which I’ve never experienced elsewhere and felt was an especially thoughtful touch. I love traveling and have stayed at many Hotels, including luxury properties such as The Ritz-Carlton, Hoshinoya, and Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto, but this was impressive enough to rank in my personal top five. This was my 8th stop on a classic Hotel tour. The atmosphere was wonderful, and I ended up extending my stay—spending three nights and four days in two rooms in the main building: Premium Classic and Premium Panorama Corner. Both Rooms were excellent, but personally I especially loved the ambiance of the Premium Classic. The Premium Panorama Corner has a sofa, so it’s great for relaxing. And since we were on the first floor this time, we could see deer up close outside the window in the morning and evening—they were adorable. The entire building has a charming design that truly conveys its history, and I found myself forgetting how time was passing just by looking around. With such a beautiful building, delicious food, and friendly staff, I was completely satisfied—three nights and four days still didn’t feel like enough. Now that the West Wing has reopened after renovation, I’d love to stay there next time. Nara Park is also within walking distance, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. The deer are cute and everyone is kind—Nara was amazing.

The Room had a beautiful Tokyo Skytree view. The bathroom was separate from the toilet, so I could relax comfortably. Breakfast was delicious, especially the orange juice and omelet. Still, I was surprised that there were so many foreign guests.

Both the Room and the staff member who assisted us were wonderful, and we were able to truly relax. As I casually looked out from the Japanese-style Room at the beautiful garden, a large grey heron was resting its wings by the waterfall. It was my first time observing one from so close, and I was thrilled. The thoughtfully prepared cuisine is always delicious, and this time again every dish was deeply impressive. Staying in a detached guesthouse felt perfect just being there, but I went out to make sure not to miss the live music in the lobby—and it turned into another wonderfully romantic moment. As often as time and budget allow, I would love to return again and again to unwind. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The view from the Room was wonderful—we were moved to be able to take in the sea, mountains, and sunrise all at once, accompanied by birdsong. Great location. I was really torn about where to meet up with my daughters who live in Yokohama, but we decided to gather in Ryogoku. It was a great choice. It has convenient access not only to Yokohama, but also to Hamacho, Ginza, Oshiage, and Tokyo Station, so we agreed to get together again as a family before we parted ways. The chanko hot pot at breakfast was delicious.

I chose Juhachiro because I had always wanted to see the traditional cormorant fishing, and they offer a boarding Plan. After working up a sweat on a walk around Kawaramachi, I refreshed in the large public bath, then had dinner from 5:30 pm. We gathered in the lobby at 7:15 pm and were guided to the viewing boat. The pier was just outside via the Accommodation’s private passageway, and it was incredibly convenient to board casually in the Accommodation’s yukata and slippers. After the cormorant fishing ended a little after 8:30 pm and we returned to the Accommodation, I enjoyed another soak in the large public bath—making it an unforgettable day. I truly felt this was a luxurious cormorant-fishing Plan that only an established Accommodation with over 160 years of history could arrange. The Room was generously sized, with two semi-double beds and a large dining table, and above all, the view of the Nagara River flowing directly below was beyond my expectations. Dinner was served in a private room: local dishes full of flavor such as Hida beef hot pot, salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, and simmered eel. Breakfast also offered an impressive variety—almost like a lunch buffet—and I was completely satisfied. Also, towels are stocked in the large public bath so you can use it anytime without hassle, and at the lobby lounge you can enjoy drinks and ice pops until 9:00 pm—such generous hospitality made me very happy (the Nagara River Onsen original-blend iced tea was delicious like nothing I’d tried before). Inside the building were displays such as shikishi boards from title matches for shogi masters, sealed-move papers, panels on cormorant fishing, and historical timelines; exploring inside was enjoyable as well. This time my purpose was cormorant fishing, but once renovations to Gifu Castle’s main keep are complete, this is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again for that reason too.

The location is excellent—just a short walk from the station with great access. When I asked to leave my luggage before check-in, I was told I could enter right away, which was a big help on such a hot day and gave me a chance to take a break. The entire building has tatami flooring, making it comfortable to spend time in the Room, and there is also a large public bath where I could relax and recover from fatigue. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. The young male staff member on the floor was quick and efficient, which made for a pleasant start to the morning. Thank you as well for kindly assisting me with my inquiry about an item I left behind after returning home.

All staff members were courteous and attentive. The meals were thoughtfully prepared with enjoyable touches, and we could even have dessert in the lounge after dinner, which was very refreshing. The bath was a spacious unit bath, and since it can be filled with Onsen water, we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen in our Room. We would like to stay again.

The location is ideal for visiting the National Stadium. When I checked out early the next morning, they kindly stored my luggage. After I returned once my errands were done, I told the front desk that I had left something in my Room, and they responded quickly, politely, and very pleasantly. The housekeeping staff had neatly placed a note together with the item in a bag, which made me feel this is a trustworthy Hotel. Thank you very much.
