A property at Saki Hana Onsen by the Agano River. Enjoy the unique Saki Hana hot spring, which changes color depending on temperature and weather, for the first time in Niigata Prefecture with <3 colors simultaneously>. The open-air bath with a great view offers 100% natural hot spring water, known for its skin-beautifying properties. Additionally, there is a terrace for playing with dogs and rooms where you can stay with your pets, making it ideal for those traveling with their furry companions.

Our Ryokan was established in 1870 (Meiji 3) as Ishimura Ryokan in the Nanpoen area, slightly south of its current location. The founder, who served as a head officer at the Hakone checkpoint during the Edo period, began developing Onsen in Owakudani during the early Meiji era and started operating as a healing retreat by drawing hot spring water from there. In 1913 (Taisho 2), we relocated to this site and renamed it Senkoro. For this reason, we are known as Sengokuhara's original Onsen retreat.Before World War II, Sengokuhara was a special area frequented by prominent figures from political and financial circles. The nearby Sengoku Golf Course was even played on by Emperor Showa alongside international diplomats.Many distinguished guests have stayed at our Ryokan over the years, including notable figures such as Eiichi Shibusawa, Kihachiro Okura, Kichizaemon Sumitomo, Aritomo Yamagata, Takashi Hara, Kiichiro Hiranuma; artists like Somei Yuki and Suiun Komuro; literary figures such as Kiyokata Kaburaki and Sotaro Yasui; and writers like Sohou Tokutomi, Masao Kumei, Chogoro Kaionji, Jun Takami among others.Sengokuhara is part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park's special district with strict environmental regulations. Building height limits along with restrictions on colors, decorations or signage are rigorously enforced here. In front of our property lies Hakone’s outer rim mountains covered in lush greenery that turn beautifully red during autumn foliage season. Our expansive grounds of approximately 15 acres feature seasonal blooms such as azaleas, rhododendrons, wisteria flowers or wild cherry blossoms.Nearby attractions include Hakone Glass Museum (Hakone Garasunomori), Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands (Shisseikaen), The Little Prince Museum (Hoshi no Ojisama Museum), Pola Museum of Art; scenic spots like Lake Ashi or Owakudani; hiking destinations such as Mount Kintoki; golf courses including Hakone Lakeside Golf Course (Kohan Golf Course), Hakone Country Club & Daihakone Country Club plus sports facilities for tennis too! All guest rooms come with an open-air bath, offering a completely private space for a luxurious bathing experience. Not only in the guest rooms, but the large communal bath also features an open-air bath, where you can relax and enjoy the spacious atmosphere. Additionally, the large communal bath allows you to indulge in four different natural hot springs with a [kakenagashi] system. Among them, the rare "fossil seawater" Onsen is particularly special, as it is a natural hot spring formed from ancient seawater dating back tens of thousands of years. Be sure to fully enjoy our pride, the Onsen! Furthermore, the Facility offers a wide range of amenities, including a Mongolian-style sauna health furnace, sauna, a relaxation area equipped with recliners and TVs, a manga corner, and more. During your stay, you can relax and enjoy your time without ever feeling bored within the Facility.

With over 160 years of history, enjoy 35 types of baths spread across 1,500 tsubo and five different spring qualities. About 160 years ago, the founder, Kinzo Takimoto, opened Noboribetsu Onsen to cure his wife’s skin condition. The waters passed down since the Edo period continue to soothe guests who come in search of healing even today. We welcome visitors with five spring qualities: sulfur springs, sodium bicarbonate springs, salt springs, Glauber’s salt springs, and acidic green vitriol springs. Japan has only ten recognized spring qualities—half of them can be enjoyed right here at our property. Bath-hopping is a journey of healing. Bousui is located in Kitagawa Onsen on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula. About 100 meters from the Facility, right by the shoreline, you will find Kuroneiwa Bath, one of the very few seaside open-air baths in The whole country. The sunrise seen from this open-air bath is truly exceptional. In addition, Bousui offers private gazebos where you can enjoy sweeping ocean views as if they were yours alone—an experience unique to Bousui.

Yachi Onsen, one of Japan's three secret hot springs, is located in the Hakkoda Mountains and boasts a history of over 400 years since its opening. The gentle water, naturally gushing directly from the bottom of the bath, is effective for back pain and eczema. Enjoy two different types of spring water: the 38°C sacred spring called "Shimo-no-Yu" and the 42°C milky white "Kami-no-Yu."
