A new villa, "Awaji Hamarikyu Besso Takumi," stands on the north side of the classic Japanese resort Awaji Hamarikyu, offering a new charm. While maintaining the beautiful sunset and scenic Keino Matsubara, this property offers an upgraded stay experience. Although there are only 17 rooms in total, each room is equipped with an open-air bath filled with Uzushio Onsen Ten no Yu. There are also two loft rooms and rooms up to 111 square meters that can comfortably accommodate three generations of travelers, providing room types to meet various customer needs. The first-floor dining area features a private terrace overlooking the sea and sunset beyond Keino Matsubara, creating an exquisite space. Special dishes utilizing island ingredients are visually stunning and enhance guests' moods. In the first year of Ansei (1854), the founder of our Property, Iwakuniya Sobei, received permission from the magistrate's office to develop the area. He built a bridge over the Momiji River in front of the Property and established a teahouse by the stream as a resting place for travelers. This marked the beginning of "Miyajima no Yado Iwaso." Later, the bustling popularity continued, and the Property officially opened as a Ryokan in the early Meiji period. The main entrance building dates back to 1892 (Meiji 25), and the lobby was constructed during renovations in 1981 (Showa 56). Today, we draw natural Onsen, a rarity on the island, and offer accommodations in the main building, new building, and detached rooms. As a Ryokan nestled within a national park, we strive daily to ensure our guests can relax and enjoy their stay.

Situated at Asahidake in the Daisetsuzan mountain range, Yukomanso is surrounded by majestic nature and beautiful alpine plants, beloved by many hikers. In spring, you can see budding plants amidst the lingering snow; in summer, vibrant alpine flowers in full bloom; in autumn, Japan's earliest autumn foliage; and in winter, the finest powder snow. The Onsen at Yukomanso has been continuously flowing since its discovery in 1914, providing over 300 liters of water per minute as its source.
