In October 2007, a new Property, "Shiratama no Yu Kaho Bekkan Koshinoyato," opened in Tsukioka Onsen, a place cherished as the "Onsen of Beauty." This Property offers all-suite accommodations, combining the functionality and privacy of a Hotel with the heartfelt hospitality of a traditional Japanese Ryokan, focusing on ultimate comfort. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding rice fields and distant mountains. Upon its opening, we have been dedicated to reviving the spirit of "Echigo no Sato" by creating a space that harmonizes with the local ecosystem. This includes constructing ponds and planting vegetation that supports the area's unique biodiversity. Our goal is to create a place where both the mind and body can find true relaxation, embodying the essence of living in an Onsen town.

It is said that Kawaguchi decided on the title of his work "Aizen Katsura" during his stay here, inspired by the giant katsura tree near the Kannon statue. As an annex of the historic "Shinshu Yudanaka Onsen Yorozuya," which has been welcoming guests since the Edo Kansei era, this new accommodation will be reborn on March 1, 2024. The previous Matsusho-so was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2003 and cherished by many until it was lost to fire in 2021. Despite this loss, with encouragement from numerous supporters, we are proud to announce its revival as the new "Matsusho-so" on March 1, 2024. The building incorporates design elements of the original Matsusho-so while embracing traditional Sukiya architecture that harmonizes with nature. Each room features a private open-air bath overlooking a small garden where guests can enjoy seasonal landscapes. We have created a space that feels "new yet somehow nostalgic." Yamato Ryokan, which began as a tofu shop, serves handmade firm tofu every day. In addition to tofu dishes, we also offer Kumamoto’s specialty horse meat, including lava-grilled horse tenderloin and soy-milk horse shabu-shabu.

Welcome to Hana-Busa, a secluded property surrounded by the serene nature of Nikko. Hana-Busa Nikko is located in a magical space where Eastern culture, such as Toshogu and Shinkyo, intersects with Western culture, represented by historical mansions, all embraced by nature. The guest rooms are detached, featuring six rooms with open-air baths. Each room has a unique design and space, providing a tranquil retreat to soothe the mind and body away from daily clamor.

Shuzenji, where Shuzenji Onsen Yukaido Kikuya is located, is a historic Onsen town steeped in legends related to Kobo Daishi. The current Kikuya was once referred to as an annex. It is said that there was also a three-story main building at the time. Even the renowned author Natsume Soseki stayed in the main building. Back then, Kikuya owned approximately 40 to 45 cho (hectares) of forest land, and there were generations of mountain keepers. Additionally, there were always about 20 craftsmen, including gardeners, plasterers, and carpenters. At that time, many landscaping projects were undertaken, such as creating rest areas for guests who stayed for extended periods, which required such a workforce. During the era of the main building, there was a grand banquet hall called Kikuya Sanso, boasting an astonishing number of tatami mats.
