Opened in Horiuchi, Hagi City, as the first one-building-rental Hotel in Japan located on the site of a former domain school. The Property is situated on the grounds where the Choshu domain school "Meirinkan" once stood, where Yoshida Shoin served as an instructor and gave lectures. The Horiuchi area, where the Property is located, is designated as a "Traditional Buildings Preservation District," preserving remnants of the old castle town to this day. Feel the history of this land where great figures of the past once walked, with its stone walls and winding streets. Enjoy a relaxing stay while admiring the seasonal changes of the garden trees.

"Misaka no Ie" is a small Property restored and revitalized by the NPO Kurashiki Machiya Trust as the first machiya restoration project. With financial support from many supporters, as well as assistance from members, local residents, and volunteers, it was completed in November of Heisei 19. We hope that many people connected to this revitalized machiya will stay, light up, converse, and enjoy the lifestyle of this town. We look forward to your use.

For sightseeing in Nagasaki, our Hotel is highly recommended! Step out of the Hotel and you'll find yourself at Dejima. The tram stop for the city loop line is right in front of the Hotel, offering excellent access to tourist spots and downtown areas. For breakfast, we serve a self-serve buffet featuring dishes made with local Nagasaki ingredients, including our signature "Dejima Burger" inspired by Dejima. The menu changes daily and is all-you-can-eat.

Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.

This building is constructed using natural materials such as antique fittings, plaster, and earthen floors mixed with rice husks.

The Obi district, known as "Little Kyoto of Kyushu" for its beautiful townscape. Once flourishing as the castle town of the Obi Domain and the Ito clan, it remains a valuable area with samurai residences scattered throughout. It was the first in Kyushu to be designated as an "Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings." Exclusively for guests, you can enjoy a completely private outdoor sauna. On the outdoor deck overlooking the samurai residences of the castle town "Obi," you can experience the ultimate relaxation. *The sauna is available for 3,300 yen (tax included) per person for a 2-hour session.
