I visited during the rainy season, a time I don’t usually choose. Both dinner and breakfast featured exquisite dishes that felt refreshingly cool to the eye and captured the early-summer atmosphere, lifting the gloom of the rainy skies. What makes this Accommodation truly exceptional is being able to enjoy outstanding cuisine at any time, thoughtfully crafted to reflect the season through sight, aroma, and taste. I also deeply appreciate the warm, friendly hospitality shown by all of the staff.

I have stayed here several times. Every visit, I’m impressed by the warm service, the simple and spotless Room, and the soothing greenery—my satisfaction is always extremely high at this Hotel. While service standards at Hotels across Japan have been declining due to staff shortages, this Hotel continues to uphold the tradition of classic hospitality and could serve as a model for Hotel professionals nationwide. I would love to visit again next summer.

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. Since the Hotel is located in a villa area, it was very quiet, and we even saw squirrels in the trees outside the Room window. The front desk staff were also very kind and helpful. Although this is a Plan without meals, light snacks such as sweets and cup noodles are available next to the front desk. In the morning, bread and rice are also provided. We had a wonderful stay and would like to use this Accommodation again.

My wife and I stayed here as a reward after work. Everything was wonderful—the butler service, the food, and the atmosphere. The early evening with a hint of autumn and the refreshing mornings were both amazing. Staying for about two nights would be perfect. Next time, I’d like to try another Room as well. Thank you—my wife was very satisfied too. The meat miso we received was so good we couldn’t stop eating rice.

At first, the parking area felt a bit scary. There are wheel stops, but if you come in with too much speed, it feels like you could end up in the river. There were three private baths, all a good size. If they were available, we could use them as much as we wanted, and one of the private baths even had a sauna. Amenities are the type you take what you need to your Room, and there was a wide variety. After bathing, they also had ice cream and black soybean tea available. Since it’s all-inclusive, drinks were set out on both the 1st and 2nd floors, which was convenient. On the 2nd floor where the Rooms are, there were two massage chairs that we could use freely. Dinner was a white squid course; it wasn’t live squid so it wasn’t at its sweetest, but there was still sweetness—and for two people it was more than enough quantity (half might have been plenty). We came for nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), and we assumed one fish for two people, so we were surprised that each person got one. It was delicious. The Room was very clean, and the whole Ryokan smelled wonderful. Even though winter is crab season—and I expected everything to smell like crab—it felt very refined with a pleasant woody scent instead. There are no windows so don’t expect any views; however, the space with the sofa (with TV), bed, and washbasin area is very comfortable. The downside is that you can’t tell what the weather is like outside. But if you’re looking to enjoy an escape focused on eating and relaxing indoors, that may not be a bad thing. Breakfast was excellent across the board—the rice cooked in an earthenware pot was great, and so was the mirin-dried horse mackerel. On our way out we also tried grinding coffee with a stone mill for ourselves for once again enjoyed truly good coffee after a long time.

This was my first stay in Yufuin, and I chose this Accommodation. The staff’s hospitality was very pleasant, and both dinner and breakfast were a delight—each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making it a truly blissful time. The Onsen was wonderful as well; after bathing, my skin felt silky smooth. Another Accommodation I’d love to visit again has been added to my list.

The building was new and very clean, and the Room was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner. It was spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were also delicious. Although the staff were from overseas, they were kind and helpful—thank you very much. As it was our 13th wedding anniversary, we also received a surprise dessert plate—thank you very much.

A relaxing stay with both Japanese and Western cuisine Seasonal ingredients were used to great effect, with excellent flavor and variety, and everything was clean and comfortable. All staff were genuinely attentive and helped us whenever we needed assistance. You can take a walk around the grounds, and in the guest lounge we enjoyed reading with complimentary coffee while taking in the view of Mt. Bandai—truly a wonderful time. With easy access to Goshikinuma Ponds, this is a Hotel we would definitely like to visit again.

My spouse and I stayed for one night. It would have been even better if our Room had a sofa, but the bath was indoors and an Onsen, already filled for us. The staff member who guided us also provided a thorough and helpful explanation. The meals were wonderful both dinner and breakfast, and we truly felt pampered. Since we dined in a private room, we couldn’t eat while looking out at the sea, which was the only disappointment. We have stayed at many Hotels, but this had the best food of all. We happened to visit Shimonoseki this time and found this Hotel by chance, but next time we will travel specifically to stay here.

This was my first stay, and the Facility was very clean. The staff were also wonderfully welcoming, and I had a great time. The Room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the lake right in front of us. It was also great to be able to watch various streaming videos on the large projector. I understand this can’t be helped in summer, but it was disappointing that there were so many insects on the outdoor terrace that we couldn’t really use it. The food was delicious as well, but I noticed that some drinks listed on the menu were sold out. It’s a small thing in itself, but details like this can give the impression that things aren’t being managed thoroughly. (In the end, though, it led me to try something new—so it worked out!)

The three of us—my spouse, my sister, and I—had a relaxing stay. The Room was clean, and the Onsen was at a comfortable temperature, so we enjoyed soaking many times while looking out at the sea. The meals were all delicious, and even the grilled fish at breakfast was prepared in an easy-to-eat way. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and all three of us finished everything. I decided to stay because the Reviews were so positive, though honestly I wasn’t expecting that much. However, the Onsen, meals, and service were truly outstanding. The ceramic bath and private baths could be used as many times as you like with no additional charge, and the staff made me feel comfortable leaving everything in their hands. I highly recommend the ceramic bath. The large public bath also had a great view and an open, relaxing atmosphere, and the sauna was spacious as well. Of course, the bath in the Room was also excellent—you can adjust the temperature. Above all, every meal was exceptional! Both the French cuisine and Japanese cuisine may have been my best ever. It was a moving experience that delighted all five senses. The service—and conversations—from each chef and all of the staff were truly wonderful! I would definitely love to return again. In mid-May, the three of us—my mother in her late 80s and my husband and I—stayed here. Throughout our stay, the staff, including the proprietress, showed thoughtful care for my elderly mother, and we are truly grateful. The cuisine made the most of fresh seafood from Ise Bay, Matsusaka beef, and seasonal vegetables from Mie Prefecture. Each dish was carefully crafted and delicious; even my mother, who usually eats little, enjoyed her meals. The bath overlooking the beautifully maintained Japanese garden featured a gentle Onsen that felt kind to the skin, and we were able to relax and enjoy it many times during our stay. We stayed in “Tochi,” and were able to spend a comfortable time at ease in a Room richly finished with wood and on an open veranda. The Japanese garden was stunning; there were many hydrangea buds during our visit, and imagining how beautiful they would be in bloom made it all the more disappointing to leave without seeing them—but it was still an outstanding trip.

This was an Accommodation I definitely want to return to after my stay. The Room was spotless, and the thoughtful care of the staff could be felt in every detail, allowing me to relax and unwind from my busy daily life. Above all, both dinner and breakfast exceeded my expectations. This is what it truly means to enjoy food—every dish was outstanding, from dessert to the after-meal tea. The drinks were also excellent, and while Ehime often brings Matsuyama to mind, after staying here, for me Ehime now means Uchiko. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

Thank you always for your hospitality! This is our fifth stay! We love the Sankyu sushi for dinner, and the Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast is delicious, the price is reasonable, and we are very satisfied! We will definitely return again! We also recommend it to everyone at our company!

We stayed for two nights with three generations, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, pleasant atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including a history museum that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), so every generation can have a great time. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy both the places we visited this time as well. My mother, who stayed with me and uses a wheelchair, received thoughtful and warm support, which was a great help. I only get to see my mother, who lives far away, a few times a year. I’m truly glad we were able to spend our precious time together here in comfort and at ease. My mother was very happy as well, so we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as rumored. The Onsen on the first floor was especially impressive. The service was very attentive, and since we arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled meal time, they kindly allowed us to delay it. When making the Reservation, I had ordered a birthday cake, and they also prepared a birthday melody played on a music box, a small flower basket, and even celebratory bite-sized sekihan (red bean rice) and sweets—it truly moved me.

My spouse and I stay here every year, but this year we invited my elderly mother and came as three. The spacious Room on the 6th floor was our first time, and the view was wonderful and stylish. My mother loved it, and I am truly grateful that we were able to make a meaningful trip for her.

From the moment we arrived until we left, the hospitality was truly wonderful and deeply impressed us. The proprietress quickly remembered my daughter’s name and even came to greet us at dinner, and the staff who served our meal had such warm smiles. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. We were also able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. I was happy that we could take a photo with the proprietress when we checked out. We would love to visit again, and we appreciate your continued hospitality.
