We stayed on the Family Plan. Above all, every staff member—including the front desk, the morning buffet team, and the housekeeping staff—was courteous and attentive, which made our stay very comfortable. If we have the opportunity to visit Ogaki again, we would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

Searched for Accommodation with an open-air bath in the Room The Room was exactly what we wanted, and we had a wonderful holiday—no need to carry bath items or a change of clothes to the large public bath, and we could enjoy the Onsen whenever we liked. We chose a Plan with breakfast only. The dried horse mackerel was very delicious. For us, who can’t eat that much, it was just the right amount. Enjoying coffee in the lounge while taking in the lovely view overlooking the harbor was also wonderful. Although it felt like being nestled in the woods, we didn’t see any insects. It was a lovely Accommodation that we would like to use again.

I stay here frequently. I always feel relaxed thanks to the hospitality, meals, Room, and Onsen. The meals are very delicious—so much so that I end up overeating. The Room is also great: it’s comfortable for working and comes with an Onsen, making it perfect for a refreshing break. I will definitely stay again.

We stayed here as a couple in early August. The Hotel had been renovated, and it felt both new and clean while still retaining a nostalgic charm—an unusual and memorable atmosphere. The large public bath also had an authentic open-air bath, which was very relaxing, and we enjoyed the lavish breakfast as well. It was a little disappointing that the basic skincare set provided was somehow only for one person, but overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

We stayed with our children and grandchildren to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Not only was the Facility beautiful and wonderful, but all of the staff were kind and greeted us with warm smiles, which made our stay very pleasant. Thank you very much. However, our grandchildren got extremely excited and were quite noisy during meals, so if we made other guests uncomfortable, we sincerely apologize… To everyone who stayed on the same day—sorry! Our grandchildren seemed to have a great time as well, and our whole family was very satisfied with our stay… We’re sorry—and thank you again. It was a Hotel we’d want to visit again and again.

I visited on a solo trip to Kyushu. I stayed for two nights, and both dinners were delicious. I could see Sakurajima from my Room, and the Onsen was very relaxing—overall, it was a very satisfying trip. The Shuttle Service from the station was also provided multiple times. However, perhaps due to the extreme heat of the season, the air conditioning in the hallway felt weak, and I ended up a bit sweaty on the way back to my Room after bathing.

We stayed with our dog. It was our first time here, and we were so satisfied that we made a Reservation for next year during our stay. There is no Onsen, but the Room was spacious and very clean. The sukiyaki dinner on the first night was outstanding, and it was a new way of eating it for us. We stayed two nights, and we were truly impressed that on the second night not only the main dish but everything from the appetizers onward was a completely different menu. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. We look forward to coming back next year.

I stayed in the "Gakuajisai" room this time. Each room is separate, allowing for a very quiet and peaceful stay. However, as I did not thoroughly check during the Reservation process, I ended up booking a room with only an open-air bath and no indoor bath. The changing area was inconvenient to use; the floor got wet, making it difficult to put on my yukata. The meals were absolutely delicious. They featured plenty of seasonal ingredients, which left me completely satisfied. All the staff members were calm and provided courteous service.

I stayed here on my way to Shizuoka. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. It was a non-smoking twin room, and the beds were spacious and the room felt clean. There were restaurants nearby, so I ate there, but it seems there is also a restaurant within the Facility. I also appreciated the welcome drink.

Beautiful scenery, a resort-like atmosphere throughout the property, and carefully prepared seasonal dishes. The service was attentive, courteous, and truly pleasant. The cool natural air and enjoyable walks made me very glad I visited. Breakfast was also brought to our table, allowing us to relax and enjoy the meal at ease. I appreciated the Shuttle Service from Yudanaka Station, and taking a short break in the lounge was a wonderful time as well. Although it was a trip during the heat, I felt refreshed and ready to get through the summer with renewed energy. I am turning 77 this year. I want to continue enjoying wonderful trips—dressing up and savoring stays at Resort Hotels and Ryokans.

As a rare Onsen Accommodation that uses 100% free-flowing natural spring water with no added water or heating, it immediately caught my interest as an Onsen lover, so I decided to stay here. The Onsen was a little hot, but the water was very clear and felt wonderful. The Key Bath and Standing Bath were fascinating along with their history, and the private riverside bath offered a relaxing soak while looking out over the Yoshii River stream—truly a pleasant Onsen experience. The building has a great atmosphere and feels calm and comfortable. The staff were also kind, courteous, and welcoming. I had a genuinely enjoyable stay, but considering the price, there were a few disappointing points. For an Accommodation in this class, I expected complimentary drinks (free flow), but that wasn’t the case—even items in the refrigerator were charged. There is tea in the Room, but no coffee, and there is no coffee service in the lobby either. After dinner there was wine, alcohol, and coffee service at a house across the street where we could relax for a while, but snacks to go with drinks still cost extra. Since this is such a lovely place overall, I only wished these kinds of services were offered just a little more generously.

This was my third stay. After arriving while it was still light out, I first enjoyed Goshobo’s semi-mixed Onsen and the large public bath with its golden Onsen. Since it was summer, even a short soak left me sweating nonstop. In the large bath, I shared the water with someone for the first time here; we had a pleasant chat and ended up soaking a bit longer. Dinner was a lighter, seafood-focused course. The chilled Awaji spiny lobster soup was a perfect match with Koshu wine. The highlight began with sashimi of meita-garei flounder and aged sea bream, followed by more Akashi-ura fish to enjoy. The charcoal-grilled Spanish mackerel and the Akashi sea bream acqua pazza were both seasonal specials you can only have here at this time of year. The broth in the acqua pazza was much lighter than last autumn’s filefish version. To finish, the cheese course left me fully satisfied in both quality and quantity—thank you for the wonderful meal. For breakfast, I switched back to the standard menu: milk, soup, vegetables—an all-around delicious plate—beautiful French toast, and yogurt meant to savor the jam and honey. Everything tasted exactly as good as expected. Even the mini breads were great; this time, the buttery croissant was my favorite. In my Room bath, I topped up little by little while letting it cool slightly, enjoying a pleasantly lukewarm golden Onsen. The breeze through the window felt wonderful: lush greenery everywhere, distant summer skies, murmuring sounds of life outside—and cicadas loud enough not to lose to them. Summer Onsen really is something special. After breakfast I alternated between the golden Onsen and the low-temperature sauna. It was an extremely satisfying holiday stay. Thank you very much. P.S. Although it is a small Hotel, the staff were kind. The amenities were plentiful, and the welcome drink (alcohol) was a nice touch. It was disappointing that dinner was not available, but breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious dishes. The staff were also very helpful, explaining how to enjoy the food and letting us know when items were freshly cooked, which made for a pleasant start to the day.

For early departures, we prepared sausage bread for breakfast in advance. In the cold of December, we wanted to warm it up in a microwave but found none available. It would be helpful if a microwave could be installed at the coffee corner on the first floor.

While preserving the traditional machiya atmosphere overall, the Accommodation has been thoughtfully renovated with a focus on key areas such as the bathroom and kitchen—spacious, spotless, and highly practical. It was a comfortable space with an excellent sense of balance. Unlike a typical Hotel stay, it offered an experience that blends into the neighborhood, and I felt as if I were spending my very first day after moving in. There are many lighting fixtures, and being able to fine-tune them to suit different situations was very convenient. The complimentary local drinks—such as roasted green tea and cider—were a delightful touch that added to the travel mood. Everything from the teapot and cups to the tray and even the hair dryer had a refined design that was pleasing to look at. It was a wonderful Room combining quality with functionality. Under normal circumstances this would unquestionably be a 5-star stay, but this time I am rating it 3 stars. The guests upstairs ran around for minutes at night and again the next morning like shuttle runs, even falling loudly at times. It was noise at a level that would feel excessive even in an ordinary Hotel—and all the more so in a machiya-style place like Komado. Even if our floors were reversed and I were staying upstairs, it would still have carried through. It was extremely difficult to endure. I wanted to raise this through staff, but neither the main phone line nor the emergency contact number could be reached around 7:30 p.m. I believe this Accommodation’s core appeal is its high-quality feel that blends seamlessly into everyday life in town, so it was deeply disappointing that such noise is fundamentally incompatible with that experience. That said, if you are not paired with guests like we had this time, it will surely be an outstanding stay without complaint. Being able to look out onto the courtyard was also fantastic; it is illuminated at night and offers scenery different from daytime—I never got tired of it!

The building is still quite new, and everything was spotless, making for a very comfortable stay. At Habutae Saryo, it was great to have a selection of alcoholic drinks, light snacks, and soft drinks. On the evening of our second night we were a bit tired and didn’t feel like going out for dinner, but we were able to have a light bite at Habutae Saryo, relax for a while, and then finish with the late-night soba—very helpful. The snacks were also high quality. I hope other Nono properties will offer similar restaurant service as well. If I had to mention one thing, the washing area in the large public bath seemed limited, so it often felt crowded.

24-hour access There are izakayas and dining options nearby. Entertainment facilities within walking distance. Convenient on-site Lawson convenience store. I will stay here again.

I stayed on the women-only floor on a weekday, and it was not crowded, which was great. The location is excellent—close to the station, with Yoshinoya, McDonald’s, and convenience stores nearby for added convenience. The Facility is new, and the floor was clean, making my stay comfortable. However, since women use shower rooms rather than bathrooms, I rated it 4 stars.

Every summer vacation, we stay at this seaside Hotel. The Rooms in the East Wing and the amenities are truly wonderful, and we always look forward to them. One small disappointment was that last year there was a bottle of water by the sink in the bathroom, but this time it wasn’t provided. Also, the staff’s service was excellent. In the morning, when my child and I were swimming in the sea, I’m not sure if it was a staff member or a volunteer, but someone was carefully picking up litter on the beach. It was wonderful. Thanks to that, there wasn’t any trash at all on the beach in front of the Hotel, and we could swim comfortably. We’ll be back again next year. We hope it will be even more upgraded—haha.
