I was completely satisfied with this Accommodation! This was my first stay here. After reading Reviews in advance, I saw comments saying it was like a “stink bug Accommodation,” so I braced myself. But it wasn’t like that at all—there were a few stink bugs, but for an Accommodation surrounded by nature, having some insects is only to be expected, and it didn’t bother me. I almost felt sorry that the staff kept apologizing for the stink bugs. The food was absolutely delicious, and I’m very grateful that they sincerely accommodated an unexpected situation where I had to step away in the middle of the meal. The Room had a calm atmosphere with plenty of traditional Uchiko washi paper used throughout, and I was able to relax deeply. Breakfast also had a fun concept where you can compare three different types of eggs—I loved it! This is an Accommodation I’d gladly go out of my way to stay at again!

We stayed as a family of three. We were extremely satisfied with every aspect of our stay—the atmosphere of the Facility and the attentive service from the staff. The French course featuring duck, which we had requested in advance, was carefully prepared dish by dish. Not only was it delicious, but the presentation and ingredient pairings were outstanding—truly showcasing the chef’s talent. Recently, we often choose “Sakagura,” and in any case it is wonderfully quiet. The entire building has a calm presence, allowing us to relax and enjoy unhurried time away from everyday life. As always, all staff members were kind and courteous. Their thoughtful attention to detail could be felt throughout our stay, and we were comfortable from start to finish. Once again, we felt this is a truly wonderful Accommodation where the cuisine, Facility, and service are all in perfect harmony. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 4-night Multiple Night Stay. This time, we stayed in the “Oryu” Room. First of all, every staff member was incredibly kind and clearly loves animals. Everyone greeted us with a smile, was gentle and attentive, brought anything we needed right away, and did their best to accommodate our requests. I’m truly grateful—your staff deserves more than five stars. Next, the meals. We were told they were prepared in a special-suite style, and both the taste and quality were excellent—high standard, delicious, and thoughtfully varied. Even over several days, we never got tired of them and enjoyed every meal. With longer stays, menus can sometimes become difficult for the kitchen side as well, but you handled everything so carefully. Since I’m also a small eater, you kindly let me choose from the menu and adjusted portion sizes accordingly. This also deserves more than five stars. As mentioned earlier, your care for animals was also very thoughtful and helpful. I visited with both a dog and a cat, and it seemed comfortable for both of them. The hot spring water quality was also wonderful. As for the guest room layout: there is a long corridor between the Room area and the bath area, which felt slightly inconvenient, so I deducted one star there. On the other hand, having an additional Room separate from the main living space made it easy to stay comfortably even when traveling with friends—an excellent design. Regarding amenities: there are no pet amenities provided (so bringing your own is necessary), but having at least a litter box available would be very helpful. The surroundings were also fantastic—like a hidden mountain hamlet. By chance we were able to see “Children’s Kagura,” which has deep history and is clearly cherished by the community. The performers practice extensively (twice a week), and while they are indeed children (apparently ranging from 3rd grade elementary school to 3rd year high school), their performance was outstanding and truly impressive. If your dates happen to coincide with it during your stay nearby, it’s absolutely worth seeing. (It seems Kagura is held several times a year; I’d love to see other performances as well.) I also felt that preserving traditional Japanese festivals like this is part of what makes this area so special—and I think it may become even more well-known in the future. It’s about 30 minutes by car to Yufuin Station, so even on an extended stay you can easily go shopping for necessities. Sightseeing around Yufuin should be convenient as well—and Beppu is also about 30 minutes away via expressway—so overall it feels like an excellent location for travelers who want to explore.

We arrived a little early, kindly left our car, and took a stroll around the area. Right away, we visited Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya Shrine next door. In the backstreets of this historic townscape, you can find Onsen springs here and there—perfect for wandering at leisure. Both inside and outside the property felt very clean, showing careful management throughout. The staff’s smiles, service, and conversation were all refined; we truly felt their hospitality and attentiveness, which made our stay very comfortable. From the Room we stayed in—named “Kirishima”—we enjoyed a view of the grove surrounding Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya Shrine, full of charm and atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast featured local ingredients, and everything was delicious. We could also sense how dedicated the staff were, which made dining even more enjoyable. Bathing in the panoramic large public bath while looking out over the townscape glowing at dusk was exceptional. The water was a gentle Onsen that seemed to softly cling to the skin. Although it wasn’t in our original plans, we stopped by Harmo Museum about 7–8 minutes away by car after receiving a recommendation as we checked out. Driving along the well-maintained lakeside of Lake Suwa and enjoying wonderful paintings became a great memory for us. It was a truly relaxing Accommodation for adults—wonderful in every way. I stayed here as a birthday gift for my sister. We were amazed the moment we entered the Room—not only did you prepare a Room with a view of the five-story pagoda, but you also gifted us sparkling wine to celebrate. My sister was absolutely thrilled. In the lounge, we enjoyed a wide variety of drinks and alcohol, along with visually stunning sweets and carefully crafted dishes. At night, we dined at the rooftop bar while taking in Kyoto’s night views. For breakfast, I chose a conger eel hot pot—something rare for a Hotel breakfast—and truly savored Kyoto’s summer flavors. We were also able to visit Kiyomizu-dera early in the morning when it was quiet and uncrowded, which made us very happy. It seems it became a wonderful memory for my sister as well. Everything exceeded our expectations in every way. The Room was spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. Every staff member was friendly and provided warm, welcoming service. The meals were delicious, and the private Onsen allowed us to relax at our own pace—it was perfect. We would love to visit again in a different season.

My wife and I are truly grateful. From check-in to check-out, we received exceptionally attentive hospitality. Starting with the wonderful attendant who looked after us with such a warm smile, every member of staff impressed us with their professionalism and thoughtful attention to detail—exactly as described in the Reviews. The beautifully renewed design blending Japanese and Western styles was delightful, and everything throughout the Facility was impeccably cleaned and well maintained, creating a wonderful sense of freshness and comfort. As lovers of traditional Ryokan stays, both my wife and I were completely satisfied. We were also thrilled by the wide selection of stylish yukata for women—and even more so to receive an adorable pouch filled with amenities. When we mentioned in advance that we were visiting for our anniversary, you prepared framed red-and-white crane mizuhiki decorations at the dining venue; chopstick rests featuring celebratory characters; sekihan served in a charming bowl marked with “good fortune”; and even a commemorative ceramic tumbler set as a gift. Dinner was outstanding: exquisite ingredients beautifully presented on elegant tableware, creating an impressive experience that delighted all five senses. We could truly feel the aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of your kitchen team in every detail. Of course, everything—from taste and portion size to temperature control (hot/cold) as well as timely serving and clearing—was flawless. We have stayed at many luxury Ryokan and heritage Hotels over the years for our anniversaries, but there is no doubt that Kamon has become an unforgettable Accommodation for us. Even on our way home, my wife and I couldn’t stop talking about your hospitality. We would love to return again, so we hope you will welcome us back when we do. I sincerely apologize for my late thank-you. This was our second stay. The front desk location had changed since last time, so I was a little confused at first. After we arrived, you upgraded us from Room KOURAI 202 to Room NOMATSU 403, which was an unexpected and wonderful offer, and we were truly delighted. As it’s the most popular among the staff, it was very spacious, with a beautiful view of the garden from both the bath and the Room—an exceptionally comfortable and calming place to spend time. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and since there was only one other group besides us, we were able to dine in a relaxed atmosphere as well. We also enjoyed visiting nearby Japanese sweets shops—it was great fun. We were deeply moved by how beautifully you filled in our travel memory book too. Done—we will definitely be back again. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

I had a memorial service in Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture, and I usually book a Hotel in Nagoya, but this time I decided to look in Gifu and found this place. A (new) Hotel located inside a park. The front desk area and the Room were clean and functional. There’s no bathtub in the Room—only a shower—but there’s a public bath nearby, and guests can use it for 500 yen with the accommodation discount, so it didn’t bother me at all. Drink prices at the shop are reasonable too. There were no negative points at all, but if I had to mention one thing, it might have been nice to have a chair in the guest room (maybe I should have requested one). I was traveling with someone (this time my son in his 20s), and we ended up sitting side by side on the sofa, but the space between the sofa and the bed was narrow and a bit awkward to use—that’s about it. Recommended for young couples or families with children, including for its location.

I visited on the 17th and 18th of last week for a refresh vacation. When I arrived, there were so many people along the Narai-juku street that it was difficult to make my way in. The garden outside my Room was spacious and could be enjoyed from the floor-to-ceiling window, creating a calm atmosphere where time seemed to slow down. I was able to spend some quiet, relaxing moments. Both the food and drinks were absolutely delicious! I was also very satisfied with the dinner pairing—the selections matched perfectly. Personally, one dish featuring locally grown vegetables and the gin and tonic served as part of the pairing were especially memorable! The staff at BYAKU Narai were easy to talk to, and I really enjoyed our conversations—it became a wonderful memory. This time I missed out on trying the whisky, so next time I’d like to make sure I don’t forget. I also forgot to buy a bottle for home (haha).

The meals were very delicious. The staff were kind and pleasant. I appreciated the bath’s reheating function. The bath salts were also great. It was a Room that beautifully renovated a traditional storehouse.

The moderately American-style Room decor feels thoughtfully different from a typical Business Hotel. It was a new, clean Room. I was surprised that the bath and toilet were clearly separated. (The bathtub and shower felt like something you’d have at home.) The lighting in the Room is well designed, there are plenty of outlets, and it’s highly functional—overall, the hospitality far exceeded expectations for this price. Breakfast was also very satisfying in quality, and the other guests gave an elegant impression. There were a couple of moments when I noticed the soundproofing, but it was quiet at night.

This is a relaxing Accommodation. The staff always welcome us warmly. There are also several international staff members, and I’m impressed by how well they speak Japanese. I hope they keep up the great work. The food is delicious, and no matter how many times I have it, I never get tired of it. This time, I tried the Western-style breakfast for the first time, and it was quite good. I will visit again. Thank you very much.

For this price, it’s wonderful to be able to stay right in front of Kita-Senju Station. The happy hour was also great. The loan umbrellas were very helpful when it suddenly rained. I will stay again.

This was my third stay. I usually book a single, but this was my first time staying in a twin Room, and it also had a spacious unit bath with no cramped feeling. However, the jinbei is made of the same fabric year-round, so it felt hot.

I’ve stayed here several times. There are so many great points: it’s close to downtown, parking is free, there’s an Onsen, breakfast is inexpensive and delicious, and the staff are kind. If you’re going to Takayama, this is the place to stay.

The Hotel is conveniently located near Mishima Station, and they also stored our luggage. There is a large public bath, and the breakfast was delicious—we were very satisfied. The complimentary coffee drink service was also excellent. When I visit Mishima again, I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

Especially on the day of check-in, when I was having trouble with screen mirroring, Ms. K, a female staff member, came to my Room and gave me helpful advice.\nShe was truly kind and attentive.\nI would like to stay at this Hotel again on my next trip to Tokyo.

I used it because it has a natural Onsen. It is a relaxing bath. The bathing area is not too bright, but not too dark either, so you can unwind. Even older guests can feel at ease. Right in front of the station, with parking available (parking is charged separately). For this price, the quality felt like a great value.

The architecture, service, and dining were all exceptional—an experience that went beyond anything I had imagined from a Hotel stay. Although the building is historic, it is clearly cared for with great attention, making for a very comfortable stay. This time we stayed in a suite in the annex, and the view of the main building from the window was beautifully framed; if you love architecture, I highly recommend viewing the main building from the annex. The food was also delicious, and it was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much.
