My monthly staycation is usually at a Hotel in my local Minato Mirai area, but this time I went a bit farther to Hotel Indigo Gora. I drove there alone, and the winding mountain roads in Hakone were a little tiring. I arrived before check-in and planned to relax at the footbath, but as soon as I parked in the outdoor lot in front of the Hotel, a staff member came right away and helped with my luggage. The welcome drink and Umaibo snack were a nice touch, and being able to check in comfortably while seated is one of those pleasures you expect from a Hotel of this class. When I entered my Room with the staff’s guidance, I couldn’t help saying, “Beautiful!” out loud. It’s a compact Hotel with around 100 rooms, but the Japanese-modern design—combining a raised tatami area with beds—was truly charming. I usually prefer modern Hotels, but this stay reminded me how calming and appealing Japanese-modern style can be. For dinner, I ordered à la carte at the on-site restaurant. The shrimp, scallops, and abalone in the bouillabaisse were surprisingly tender; the burrata was rich and paired perfectly with tomato and basil. The white wine went down easily. Since I don’t eat much, I also appreciated having à la carte options instead of only set courses. The bath in my Room was spacious, and I was able to fully enjoy the Onsen at leisure. The breakfast buffet also impressed me in both variety and quality—especially the green beans dressed with sesame sauce, which tasted far better than anything I could make at home. Even as someone who eats lightly (and can be picky), it was more than satisfying. The hospitality from everyone on staff was excellent, and the entire property was beautiful and comfortable. It was a wonderful Hotel that made me want to return again.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay. When I asked to leave my luggage before check-in, you kindly accommodated my request, which allowed me to go about my plans with peace of mind. The moment I stepped into the Hotel, I was enveloped in a refined yet glamorous fragrance that instantly made the experience feel special. All of the staff were impeccably presented, with polished manners and elegant language. Every interaction felt delightful and memorable. The Club Lounge presentations were all excellent. In particular, the Pasha coffee served at afternoon tea and the specially paired sweets were exceptional—I truly enjoyed a luxurious and uplifting time. I also stopped by the bar before bed, where the bartender created one original cocktail after another tailored to my preferences. It felt like being in a dream. In my room, I initially found the shower controls a bit difficult to use, but when I contacted you, a staff member came right away and explained everything clearly, which was very helpful. Above all, the bed was more comfortable than anything I have ever experienced, and I slept wonderfully. Thanks to you, it became an unforgettable trip. I would love to stay again. I was able to stay at a very reasonable price. It is also conveniently located just a short walk from the station. Best of all, the food was excellent. Dinner was stylish and very delicious. Breakfast was also delicious. I will come again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here while touring the Kotō Sanzan temples. The top-floor Japanese-Western style room was spacious and had a great view. Both breakfast and dinner used local ingredients, and we were satisfied with both the quality and quantity. The sukiyaki beef was especially delicious. We used the large public bath after day-use hours ended, and it was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were kind as well. The area around the Hotel is also well maintained. We will stay here again when we visit Kotō. Thank you for your hospitality.

I stayed here to attend an event at another Hotel in Roppongi. Since it’s a Mitsui property and the Reviews were good, I chose this place—and it was even better than I expected. I arrived before noon and went to leave my luggage, but my Room happened to be ready, so I was able to check in right away. I really appreciated that. Amenities are available in the lobby for you to take only what you need, which felt efficient with no waste. There’s also a coffee machine in the lobby, and tea is available as well. Rooms at central Tokyo Hotels are often small, but this one was about 26–27 m² and felt spacious. There was also a sliding door that could separate the vanity area from the Room, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I’d love to stay here again if I have the chance.

We stayed here to relax as a couple, and it was very quiet, just as we had hoped. We enjoyed both the indoor bath and the open-air Onsen, and the Room was spacious, allowing us to truly unwind. If we have the opportunity, we would like to stay again.

Every year, I stay here on my way home from work. The Room with a view of Mt. Shari is spacious, quiet, clean, and has excellent air conditioning. The TV is small. The Onsen is also great. For meals, you can order à la carte at the restaurant and add a 60-minute all-you-can-drink plan for 1,500 yen. Sashimi dishes have disappeared from the menu... The staff are polite and welcoming, with friendly smiles.

The meals were delicious, and the sashimi was very fresh. There were several types of open-air baths, which we really enjoyed. The owner couple were very kind and even helped us with local sightseeing recommendations, which was greatly appreciated.

I stayed here to watch WOWOW. I was satisfied with the large-screen TV! They also offered welcome coffee, and I had breakfast for two nights; the menu changed slightly, so I enjoyed it both days. I will definitely stay again.

The Room and bathroom were very clean. The coffee was especially delicious. Thank you. However, the refrigerator under the TV did not cool properly, and the mineral water remained lukewarm until the next day (even after adjusting the temperature settings).

The Onsen was wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were welcoming and attentive. My friend and I said we’d like to come again. The Room was spacious, and the view from the window was great. We were satisfied with everything.

This is a clean, beautiful, and comfortable Room. The spacious bed is very comfortable, and on clear days you can even see Mt. Fuji. As train and car sounds can be heard nearby, guests who enjoy such ambience may appreciate it. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast, including handmade rice balls, a Japanese-style omelet, Eggs Benedict, Greek yogurt, and more.

We stayed here during the Obon holidays as a family of three. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was delicious, and it made our trip truly wonderful.

I can’t visit very often, but thank you as always. The Onsen was especially amazing—I felt truly refreshed and all my fatigue melted away. I spent two relaxing hours alternating between the Onsen and the cold bath, and the time flew by. The meal, with its small side dishes, was more than enough for me. I especially loved the curry with zucchini—it’s my absolute favorite. I’ll be back again, and I’m looking forward to my next visit. Thank you in advance.

I was a bit confused about the parking, but they kindly explained it to me. There was a group staying as well, but they let us know in advance when the dining area would be busiest, which was helpful.

I had errands in Uehommachi and debated staying at the Marriott in Tennoji, but choosing this place was the right call. It felt different from what I expected, and I was more than satisfied! The bed was very clean. The bathroom and toilet felt a bit dated, but nothing that bothered me. The amenities covered everything I needed, and if you need anything extra, there’s a FamilyMart nearby as well as Kintetsu Department Store.

I stayed one night each in a single Room and a twin Room. The twin Room was smoking, but the smell didn’t bother me much, which I appreciated as a non-smoker. In older Hotels, the air conditioning can be connected and smoke odors sometimes drift in even in non-smoking Rooms, but that wasn’t an issue here. After work, I was able to relax in the large public bath and head home feeling refreshed, so I’d like to stay again if I have the chance. Also, when I stayed in the single Room, I didn’t receive a drink coin—are there any conditions for receiving it?

It was a truly wonderful Hotel. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt a sense of calm and dignified atmosphere. The cleanliness throughout the building, the color tones of the furniture and interiors, the beauty of the design, and the carefully arranged details all conveyed the Hotel’s overall elegance. What impressed me most was the warmth of the staff. Their demeanor and choice of words reflected outstanding hospitality, allowing me to relax and enjoy my stay with peace of mind. Breakfast was also excellent—not only for the food itself, but also because it could be enjoyed slowly in a serene setting. It felt like one of the great highlights of staying at this Hotel. This Hotel is not simply a place to stay; it is a place to step away from everyday life and spend quiet time in refined comfort. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to take their time enjoying their stay while appreciating its beautiful atmosphere and distinctive world that the staff so carefully preserve. I sincerely thank all staff members for providing such a wonderful space and service. I would love to visit again. However, some guests’ behavior was disappointing. At minimum, basic manners matter—no swimming in the large public bath; no shouting by adults or children; no arguing or yelling between parents; no running in the breakfast area. Even though it was only one night, there was a significant gap between guests who wanted to enjoy a quiet, high-quality environment and those without manners. With both groups mixed together, it is true that there were many moments when I could not fully enjoy what should have been such a dignified and lovely atmosphere. The food, cleanliness, ambiance, elegance, professionalism at reception, quality of furnishings, and housekeeping (except for parts related to air conditioning within the building) were all excellent and very satisfying. This is an issue on our side as guests. Please follow basic etiquette in shared spaces: do not run (especially in the breakfast area), do not shout, do not argue loudly even as parents—and keep your voices down. Unfortunately there were many guests who did not observe these basics. I especially wish people would refrain from swimming in the large public bath. There were also children splashing water around with wash buckets—yet some parents did not correct them; instead they swam together with their children while being loud. It felt chaotic. I also did not want to witness arguments between parents. I do not want to hear shouting or yelling. If only guest behavior improved—but aside from that point, this Hotel is outstanding!

Koshika Onsen is wonderfully relaxing with its free-flowing natural hot spring water, and the aroma at the front desk is also lovely. This was my second stay, and I’m truly very satisfied! I was told the aroma is from Tomisako Shoten, so I even placed a personal order. The Room has its own Onsen, so I could enjoy it at night and in the morning and feel refreshed. The Facility is also kept very clean!

I made a same-day Reservation on a spontaneous trip with no fixed plans. There was a local craft beer tap next to the check-in counter, and you can pour it into a cup and enjoy it in your Room. The Room felt a bit dated, but it was kept clean. There was no view, but I slept comfortably. There was a restaurant behind the check-in counter, but it wasn’t available on the day of my stay. The wine bar tenant on the 1st floor was also closed for the holiday. There are many restaurants nearby open until late at night, so finding dinner isn’t an issue. There is a Yamazaki Daily Store about a 2-minute walk away. Breakfast costs 2,000 yen and must be requested by 8:00 PM the day before. The rice is excellent.
