This Property, once a beauty salon, has been transformed into a modern space through renovation. The furniture, decor, and tableware provided here are crafted by various artisans, both renowned and unknown. In the main living area, there is a bed that can comfortably accommodate up to four people lying down, positioned in front of a large screen and projector. As the name of the Property suggests, it is designed to be a space where you can relax and "marodomi" (linger in comfort). Originally, it was a culinary Ryokan called "Umekiya Ryokan," which had been in operation since the Meiji era. At the time, it was a familiar presence for the local community, even being used for weddings and gatherings. However, it was eventually closed, much to the regret of many. In December 2019, the Property was renovated while preserving the charm of the old Ryokan, and reopened as "Umekiya." We strive to create a space where you can feel the atmosphere woven by time while adapting to modern travel styles. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we hope you can enjoy a leisurely stay not only at Umekiya but also in the entire town of Toshi.
