This is a wonderful Accommodation. We truly felt the kindness in your hospitality. The meals were lavish and absolutely delicious. The quality, portion size, and flavor were so exceptional that we almost felt guilty enjoying them at this price. Breakfast was also very satisfying, and the fluffy rolled omelet was truly impressive. When we mentioned that we would be staying to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday, you served sekihan (red bean rice), which deeply moved her. This time, since the bath was under renovation, we went to a nearby Facility to bathe; once the bath is completed, I’m sure this will become an even more outstanding Accommodation. If we have the chance, we would definitely love to stay again. To everyone at Yohkosou, I know you are very busy—please take good care of yourselves. After descending from the mountains on the second night of my two-night stay in Shima Onsen—somewhere I had long wanted to visit—I stayed at this Accommodation. It is located in a quiet area, and the beautiful views of the Shima River from both the Room and the baths, along with the excellent spring quality and comfortable temperatures, made me very satisfied. The three large public baths were each enjoyable. The proprietress’s picture-story show and talk, which she has continued for 33 years, were skillful, fun, soothing, and highly recommended. The staff were also polite and very pleasant, providing attentive hospitality throughout. This is one Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

The bath, the Room, and the meals were all excellent. The bath has a great view and is spacious, so you can relax and take your time. The catfish at the breakfast buffet was especially delicious, so I ended up eating a lot. All of the staff were very kind. (Thank you so much for sending my lost item back to me!) I will definitely stay here again!

I was very satisfied. I sincerely appreciate the front desk staff for kindly answering my questions. I visited for a concert, and it turned into a wonderful trip to Yamagata. The paintings and sculptures reflect the Hotel’s sense of elegance.

I stayed with my two sons, aged 19 and 17. The seafood bowl at breakfast was outstanding. In the evening, we enjoyed bowling and photo booths like when the kids were little. The Room was clean and wonderful. Perhaps because the large public bath uses natural Onsen water, it felt a bit slippery.

The breakfast buffet was a big hit with my family! The bath was also wonderful. On our way home, I realized at Gamagori Station that I had left my wallet on a sofa on the first-floor lobby of the Hotel, and I panicked and called. A kind guest turned it in to the front desk, and a staff member even brought it to the station. I’m truly sorry for the trouble, but your kindness saved our trip. We will definitely stay again next time. Thank you very much.

This Hotel offers an excellent, comfortable large public bath, and the breakfast is also very varied—with desserts as well—making it a place you can truly enjoy.

The Room was very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The buffet offered a wide variety of options and was delicious. We would like to stay again.

Although the building is old, it is very well cleaned and the hospitality is excellent, so I think this is an Accommodation you can be truly satisfied with. It was also fun and nostalgic to be able to contact the front desk using a telephone you don’t see these days—perhaps making good use of the property’s vintage charm. One small thing: the yukata brought to me because the size didn’t fit had a slight odor that concerned me a bit. That said, I may simply be overly sensitive. In any case, the service is outstanding, and every staff member provided wonderful hospitality. I was deeply impressed by their thoughtful attention to detail. By chance there was a festival that day and we were able to watch fireworks; they even told us the best viewing spot, which made it a great memory. Thank you very much. As for the meals, the rice was cooked perfectly and delicious. The side dishes were excellent as well, but especially how good the rice was stood out. One suggestion: if the green onions in the breakfast miso soup could be lightly cooked in advance, then warming it at the table would make it even tastier—I felt they sometimes didn’t cook through enough with table heating alone. Still, overall everything was extremely delicious. This is an Accommodation I will definitely want to stay at again when I visit Kaminoyama Onsen.

I made a Reservation with breakfast included, and it was delicious and very satisfying. The Room and the bathroom were clean, which was great.

Compared with my memories from years ago, it had changed a lot. I stayed at Nisshokan, and it had just reopened the day after renovations, so I was very satisfied. The bath was also great. Payment was automated with plenty of machines available, so everything went smoothly. They transported us from the parking lot by a small shuttle bus (they also asked whether we preferred the boat).

Recent accommodations often focus on being "Instagrammable," looking great in photos but sometimes falling short in reality. However, this accommodation, while the building itself shows signs of aging, is impeccably clean and offers a very comfortable stay. The bath includes a private open-air hot spring with flowing water, offering breathtaking views of the vast ocean from a scenic cape. During my stay, it was a full moon, and I enjoyed an unforgettable moment under the moonlight accompanied by the sounds of nature. Meals are seafood-focused! Breakfast features marinated tuna rice bowls. The half-buffet style allows you to adjust portions to your appetite. Even the pickles reflect the chef's dedication to quality—everything was absolutely delicious. The evening stargazing session was unexpectedly enjoyable with detailed explanations provided by staff. The staff members were incredibly kind and attentive, making every aspect of my stay satisfying. Thanks to their support, I managed to visit Nachi Taisha Shrine and Nachi Falls despite having limited time. Thank you very much! This accommodation is highly recommended for those who value authenticity over superficial appeal.

It was my first visit in a while. I used to go once a year, so I’m practically a regular. The Hotel staff even remembered me and were considerate about my allergies and foods I don’t like. I always stay in the Spa Living room, and the hot stone sauna had been replaced with a sauna, which was also great. The service is truly excellent—everyone is wonderful. They are polite, but also make your stay enjoyable. I definitely want to come again next year.

Facing the Kanmon Straits, it was soothing to watch the ships passing through all the time. The meals were carefully selected and delicious. It was also great to be able to see the straits from the bath; however, the bath was quite crowded with many local residents, which surprised me a little. As a request, I think it would be relaxing if you could use some aroma fragrance or incense in the corridor where the Room is located.

I was a little worried about staying with a small child, but the staff were very attentive, and we had a very comfortable stay. The Accommodation was thoughtfully set up for children, with cute robots and a diaper disposal bin, so our whole family had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

I found Sugatani Onsen while looking for an Accommodation where I could stay with my pet, without knowing the name beforehand. It was very comfortable. I brought pet pads, but if possible, I would like you to provide some spares. There is no need to lay out the futon during meals; I worry my dog might bark, so it makes me more concerned. The air conditioner noise felt a little loud. The meals were very delicious. It is a quiet location away from the crowds.

I was impressed by the staff’s thoughtful, unobtrusive hospitality. The meals featured plenty of wild mountain vegetables and local ingredients, and I was very satisfied with the careful preparation. They were wonderful dishes you can’t experience in the city. We also used the private bath, which I highly recommend. It was just the right size and temperature, and it was comforting that the changing area had tatami mats. This is a memorable Accommodation I would love to stay at again.

We stayed here during the Obon holidays for a three-generation family trip. Maybe it was a special Obon event, but there was an ambayashi and shaved-ice corner, and we ended up relaxing in the lobby for quite a while. We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room, and it was clean and nice. The building is clean as well. I especially liked the open-air pot bath. We were also able to use the large public bath without it feeling crowded. They offer shampoo rentals, but since it’s first-come, first-served they run out quickly, so I wished there were a system that would allow more guests to use them. We also appreciated having diaper trash bins and board games available to borrow. For dinner we chose the private-room Plan, and it was a very spacious Room that could probably fit around 20 people; tables and chairs were set up on both sides. The individual boat platters for each person were gorgeous—we were very satisfied. We ordered a kids’ meal for our 3-year-old; the website showed udon in the photo, but what came out was soba. Since we hadn’t given our child soba yet, udon (and pudding) would have been easier—perhaps it’s meant for slightly older children. At breakfast there were two kinds of miso soup (seafood and mountain vegetable), and you can choose; we tried both and they were delicious. This is an Accommodation we’d love to return to if we have another chance!

This was my second stay, and the breakfast and dinner were excellent, with attentive staff as well. Another highlight is having dinner served in your Room. There seem to be many repeat guests, and the large number of female guests may be proof of how good the food is. The Onsen is also wonderful, making it easy to unwind and relax—so I can see myself becoming a repeat guest. As an aside, access by car is convenient, but if you are traveling by train, getting to Yubiso Station is not very convenient, so it’s best to check in advance.

As I was pregnant, we stayed here for what would be our last trip as a family of three. The staff were very polite and provided attentive service. They also explained the Room thoroughly, and since it came with an open-air bath, we were able to relax and enjoy bathing privately as a family. The meals were delicious, and at check-out they took a photo of us at the entrance, leaving us with wonderful memories.
