Even after setting the navigation system, the destination disappeared along the way. Feeling a bit uneasy, we followed the signboards and drove deeper into the mountains on narrow roads—then suddenly, there was the Accommodation entrance. The warm light that appeared in that moment was a real relief. The staff’s welcome and service were also very courteous. We headed straight to the private indoor bath in our Room. Just as I was about to soak in the retro-style tub that felt like an old hot-spring cure retreat, a large hornet—stuck and unable to get out through the window—greeted us first. We somehow dealt with it using the free-flowing natural hot spring water (quite hot). Once adjusted to just the right temperature, it felt amazing on the skin and was incredibly relaxing. When my wife took her turn, this time a rhinoceros beetle stopped by to say hello. Just as explained in advance by the Accommodation, we had a rare experience surrounded by rich nature. From the scenic open-air bath, we enjoyed views of mountains stretching out as if they were ours alone. The meals were also carefully prepared. We were able to spend a truly unhurried time here. We stayed with three couples we know. The Room was spacious and clean, earning high marks. The bath was a proper Onsen. Because of the rain, the outdoor bath temperature was a little lukewarm, but once you soak in it, you warm up nicely. The sound of the clear stream in front was soothing, and it felt like being surrounded by negative ions. At dinner, the appetizer course in particular was delicious—delicate and enjoyable with a variety of flavors. It alone pairs well with plenty of drinks. The meal portions were very generous, and we couldn’t finish the final rice dish. I recommend arriving hungry. Breakfast rice was also delicious and very satisfying. The staff were attentive and greeted us with warm smiles. The Accommodation isn’t large, but it offers great hospitality and tasty meals, so I think it’s excellent value for money. Since it’s right by the river, we felt it’s an Accommodation where you can relax while listening to the clear stream. It’s an Accommodation I would recommend to other friends as well. We’d love to visit again.

I’m so glad I was lucky enough to get a Reservation at the Accommodation I’d been hoping to stay at when visiting Shodoshima! Thank you for emailing me in advance to confirm that my stay date fell on your Children’s Day, and for your very attentive support even before we arrived. The meals were excellent—we enjoyed plenty of Shodoshima’s local vegetables and fish, and we were completely satisfied. Thank you as well for the careful explanations of each dish and for adding a final message. The Onsen was private and wonderful. It was a shame that our timing didn’t work out, and in the end we couldn’t use one of them no matter when we checked… I also really appreciated the free drink service. We were too full to try the homemade fruit drinks or alcohol, so next time I’d like to come with more time (and room in my stomach), haha. Breakfast was delicious too—I finished everything! It was fun chatting about wanting to go to live shows, haha. I hope you enjoy your private time as well, so you can do even more wonderful work. One small thing: I wish the blind on the Room bathroom window could be adjusted. It felt like it might be visible from outside… haha Other than that, it was an incredibly relaxing space—perfect. Shodoshima is such a wonderful place. I’ll be back!

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. When I told you I can’t eat raw fish, thank you for preparing alternative dishes. The food looked great and tasted wonderful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary extra dish. The bath warmed me up so well that I stayed warm for a long time afterward. The detox water after the bath was also delicious. It was great to be offered a draft beer as a welcome drink at check-in—it was the perfect refreshing drink after a long drive. I would love to stay with you again.

Both the hospitality and the cuisine were calm and wonderful, and I was truly able to refresh. I will visit again.

The kids’ meals and amenities were excellent, and the Facility environment was wonderful for keeping children entertained. The kids’ room is open 24 hours, so even children who wake up early and are full of energy could enjoy themselves to the fullest. When our older grandchild fell ill on the second day, you were a tremendous help—preparing gentle-on-the-stomach meals and promptly taking care of the bedding. The adults who enjoy drinks also thoroughly enjoyed the all-inclusive plan. We would love to visit again. Just one request: we would feel safer if an additional lock for access to the open-air bath and footbath area could be installed higher up as well. Our 4-year-old can unlock doors on their own, and we felt anxious about them accidentally stepping out onto the terrace and potentially falling into the river. Thank you for considering this.

We stayed as a family of three. The Onsen was wonderful—smooth and silky, a truly great Onsen. The meals were also excellent. We chose the course with sukiyaki. Everything—sukiyaki, sashimi, tempura, miso-grilled chicken, and more—was carefully prepared and delicious. Breakfast was served in a different dining area filled with morning sunlight, and it was just as tasty. The building was very clean, the Room was spacious and spotless, hot water and cold water were provided, and the futon was very comfortable. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and attentive, so we had a great time. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.

This Accommodation is highly recommended. It’s close to the station and just a short walk to the sea. The meals are very generous in portion size, and we were extremely satisfied! Above all, just like our first stay… the staff were wonderfully warm and welcoming on our second visit as well! This Accommodation is also recommended for a solo getaway. We’ll be back again soon!

On my previous trip I stayed here with friends, but this time I had the pleasure of staying with my elderly mother to celebrate her 88th birthday. Because she has difficulty walking, I was a little worried about accessibility, but you kindly assisted us in every situation and we were able to stay comfortably. Although it rained unfortunately, we were able to relax and talk in our Room, and also enjoy a pottery painting experience, making it a truly happy time. The meals were also very delicious. Not only the Akaushi beef and fish, but the Yamato vegetables were wonderful as well. We could also feel the scenery of Nara through the tableware, and the seasonal hydrangeas painted on it delighted us visually too. On our way to the dining area, we found a large snail. Seeing my mother smile happily like a child left a strong impression on me, and it made me realize again that choosing Ubusuna no Sato for this trip was the right decision. Thank you very much for giving us such a happy time. I’m already looking forward to receiving the plate we painted.

I had stayed at Kinkonko several times before, and after it became Regina Resort, we chose to stay again—especially as it coincided with our younger child’s birthday. It was an even better stay than I imagined; the time spent with our dog felt truly special. Just as rumored, the consistently dog-first hospitality warmed our hearts throughout the trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with smiles and greeted us by name, and our dog immediately relaxed. The Room and shared spaces were exceptionally well stocked with amenities for dogs, and their thoughtful attention to detail really stood out. A surprise that made us especially happy During our stay, I casually mentioned in conversation that our dog’s birthday was coming up—and to my surprise, they quickly prepared a birthday cake as a special treat. I was amazed by such a wonderful gesture, and having the staff celebrate together with us filled my heart. Seeing our dog happily enjoying the cake became an unforgettable memory. Surrounded by Yufuin’s beautiful nature, this is truly a dream-like Accommodation where both dogs and owners can relax without any hesitation. It was an outstanding Accommodation that I would wholeheartedly recommend for important anniversaries or creating special memories with your dog. We definitely want to come back again! We have stayed at many pet-friendly Accommodations before, but Regina Resort Yufuin was the most satisfying in every way. Next time, we hope to stay in “Kakoi,” the new annex.

This is a truly wonderful Accommodation. It is located in a valley beyond a ridge from Kurokawa Onsen, reached by a narrow road that feels like a forest track. Crossing the ridge makes you feel as if you are entering a different world from Kurokawa. It is quiet— the small lobby, the corridors, the dining area, and even the baths. The Room is beautifully set, with furnishings and artwork on the walls that enhance the atmosphere. For meals, there are separate head chefs for Japanese and Western cuisine. Using local ingredients, everything was carefully seasoned and served in just the right portions. There is a café lounge where you can step out onto an outdoor terrace and enjoy coffee while taking in dew-covered greenery in the morning. With calm, attentive service as well, we enjoyed an atmosphere quite different from Kurokawa Onsen.

It was a quiet, relaxing, and stylish Accommodation. From the Setagaya-Daita ticket gate, the lush green path felt like arriving at a sightseeing spot you wouldn’t expect to find in the city center—it was wonderful. The late-night ochazuke and breakfast were both delicious, the Room was spotless, and I slept soundly—an amazing staycation. I worried the bath might be crowded if there were day-use guests, but it wasn’t at all; both at night and in the morning I had it all to myself, which was great. It was very clean as well. There is no cleansing oil or face wash in the bath area, so be sure to bring your own from your Room. I couldn’t make it to the tea lounge or bar because I was already full, but everything looked delicious. My child happened to be quiet so it was fine, but since this is a calm Accommodation, energetic kids might stand out. I didn’t see many families with children. Also, there are shoji screens in the Room, so if you have a child who might tear them you may feel on edge during your stay. At meals they provided a child’s chair and cutlery for us, which was extremely helpful. Going far for an Onsen can be tough, but here you can relax and enjoy an Onsen and great food with satisfaction comparable to an Onsen resort—right in central Tokyo—so I highly recommend it!

We stayed for one night on a trip to Nagano. The location was so deep in the mountains that at first we wondered if there really was an Accommodation out there, but we were relieved to arrive safely. In addition to the indoor bath, there was also an outdoor hot spring (a “wild” bath), and we used both—they were wonderfully relaxing. The Facility itself seemed old, but it was kept very clean. The meals were just the right amount, and everything was delicious. Since I’m pregnant and avoiding raw fish, the staff kindly offered to switch it—suggesting fried chicken—which was very helpful. Next time, I’d love to try the char sashimi raw. My husband also said it was the first time he’d stayed at an Accommodation where every dish was this good, so we’d like to visit again in a different season and enjoy more of the料理.

I had a very comfortable stay. Once again, I was delighted by the warmth of all the staff. Everyone is attentive and hardworking, and your hospitality truly comes through—creating a relaxing atmosphere. Last time I was too full to try the late-night tantanmen, so this time I moved dinner earlier and adjusted my timing by singing karaoke right up until then. The tantanmen was the perfect portion and delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much for your kind care.

This was my first time staying here. The building feels a bit old, but both the Room and the bath were thoroughly cleaned, so I had a very comfortable stay. The meals were excellent; the grilled dancing abalone at dinner was tender, and choosing the octopus shabu-shabu add-on was definitely the right decision. Everything was delicious. The staff served the dishes efficiently, allowing us to enjoy our meal smoothly. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of items, all of them tasty. There was even shark fin soup, and I especially recommend the freshly baked croissants. Since the Room faces the sea, the view is spectacular. The bath is also built facing the ocean, making it incredibly relaxing. It was cloudy so I couldn’t see the sunrise, which was disappointing—so I would love to stay again.

This is a perfect Ryokan with meticulous attention to every detail. The building is beautifully maintained, and the finishes and Facilities feel refined. The Onsen is excellent, and the amenities are well stocked. The meals are delicious, served on beautiful tableware, and satisfy both taste and presentation. Drink prices are reasonable as well. The location is close to Yubatake, making it easy to enjoy a stroll around the area. I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

This was my fourth stay. The Room, meals, and service were all excellent, but above all, the bath was outstanding. Being able to soak while looking out at the sea without worrying about others is truly a luxury. With no fence or partitions around the bath, it feels wonderfully open. I would love to stay again.

Although we stayed for only one night, it was a very comfortable Accommodation. The room was thoroughly cleaned, and in addition to the amenities, there was a good selection of tea and mineral water provided, which made our stay very pleasant. (Filling up water at the washbasin can take away from the travel mood a bit.) When we visit Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen again, we would love to stay here again.

This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.

We stayed here on the first night of our two-night trip to Yamagata. The food was excellent, and we were able to try the imoni stew we had been looking forward to at breakfast. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the garden was beautiful. My spouse and I were both very satisfied. The welcome tama-konnyaku was delicious as well.
