The Room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and I was able to rest well. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I felt refreshed both physically and mentally. All of the staff were courteous and pleasant, and I’m glad I chose this Hotel. I would love to visit again.

The hospitality and the restaurant cuisine were outstanding in every respect. Their attentive, courteous communication before our stay left a strong impression, and on the day of our visit, everyone—from the seasoned staff to the younger team members—provided genuinely pleasant service. If you want a reliably excellent experience in Karuizawa, HIRAMATSU is without doubt the place to choose.

This was our second stay. Last time, I came with my daughter, and the French dinner was so outstanding that I knew we had to return someday. That wish came true, and this time I was able to bring my two sons. Since it was my younger son’s birthday, I ordered a cake through the Hotel website and they kindly prepared it for us. The food is, of course, top-class—both dinner and breakfast are highly recommended. The Onsen was also wonderful, with silky-smooth water. We would love to visit for a third time. Thank you very much to all the staff.

All the staff provided wonderful, attentive service! Even in the intense midsummer heat on Miyajima, we had a truly enjoyable trip. The night tour after dinner was very informative, and the local guide’s storytelling really made us feel like we were traveling—she was fantastic. Because of time constraints and the heat, we couldn’t make it to the summit of Mt. Misen, so next time we’ll visit in autumn and would love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

My spouse and I stayed here in mid-May 2026. It’s a soothing Accommodation where you can truly relax without any fuss. All the staff were gentle and friendly. The resident “signboard” rabbit was adorable, and it also seems like a pet-friendly Accommodation. This time we chose a Plan with breakfast only, but the breakfast was so delicious that next time we’d like to stay on a Plan that includes dinner as well. One disappointing point this time was part of the baths. When I dipped my feet into the tub on the second floor—the one that looked whitish, like a carbonated bath—it was so hot that it startled me. In the open-air bath as well, the added hot water seemed to be set too high; when a lot of water came out periodically (?), it was too hot to enter unless we stirred it first. I wish I had asked whether the temperature adjustment for the added water just didn’t go well that day, or if the spring temperature changes daily. Still, overall there was hardly any odor, my skin felt smooth, and it was very pleasant water.

The location was outstanding above all else. The in-room bath was an Onsen, and the view was so incredible that I could have stayed in it forever without wanting to leave. The Room was a perfect size and felt very clean. The meals were excellent, and I was very satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. There wasn’t any particular dress code inside the property, and it was fine to dine in loungewear, which made for a very relaxing stay. We joined the optional stargazing guide tour, but unfortunately Mt. Onidake—the planned observation spot—was covered by clouds so we couldn’t observe there. However, the guide quickly took us to another location, and we were able to see a wonderful starry sky. We enjoyed the Milky Way and summer constellations with the naked eye. The only disappointing thing was that there was a used tissue left in the pocket of the loungewear provided in our Room—apparently from a previous guest. I wonder if they didn’t check the pockets during cleaning… I also became curious about other Onko Chishin properties, so I went ahead and signed up for membership (lol).

We stayed as a family of three. We had an elderly family member with us, and we sincerely appreciate the staff’s thoughtful care. The meals were delicious, just as other Reviews mentioned, and even my mother—whose appetite has decreased—was able to take her time and finish almost everything. The bath, including the handrails by the tub, was easy for an elderly person to use. When we visit Ise again, we would love to stay here.

We stayed here with our dog. It’s a two-story detached villa-style Accommodation with plenty of space. The interior is thoroughly cleaned down to every corner, making it very comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were generous in portion, with a great variety of dishes, and everything tasted excellent. Dog amenities are well provided; you do need to bring your own food, but we had no particular issues. The only personal downside was that there was no wash basin in the bathroom, but even considering that, it’s a very appealing Accommodation and we were highly satisfied. We definitely want to visit again.

Even though I don’t swim in the sea, I travel solo year-round in search of gourmet Accommodations near the coast (for the food and scenery). I was delighted to be upgraded to a sea-view Room. It was a Japanese-style Room, but it also had a leather sofa and ottoman, so I could stretch out and relax while gazing at the ocean. When I woke up around 5:00, I was able to watch a beautiful sunrise from the Room. There is a calm inner-sea beach right in front of the Accommodation, and there are showers as well—great for families with small children. The meals were outstanding, featuring an abundance of local specialties. My main goal was Wakasa-guji (tilefish), but it was even more delicious than I imagined—the Wakasa-guji ochazuke was exceptional. And the Matsunaga rice was unbelievably good (probably the best I’ve ever had). I didn’t use the public bath and used the shower in my Room instead, but I loved that the shampoo and conditioner were Hokurokusousui—one of my favorite brands—and it helped me relax. Recently there have been more Accommodations renovated from wooden buildings, but some noise—voices and footsteps—is unavoidable. You can often hear children as well. It’s not exactly quiet. However, more than making up for that, I felt each staff member’s hospitality and way of interacting with guests was wonderful. In particular: the woman with glasses who assisted me at check-in; the woman at breakfast (I’m sorry—I forgot your name); and one of the male staff members who kindly gave me helpful advice for sightseeing in Obama after check-out. Thanks to them, it became more than just an overnight stay—I had a chance to learn even more about Obama, making this trip extremely satisfying. I heard that midwinter is especially good for grouper, pufferfish, and Echizen crab. As transportation access improves from here on out, this will be an Accommodation you’ll want to visit even more. Next time it would be perfect if I could borrow a firmer pillow!! Please make that happen on my next visit!! (I can’t sleep if a pillow doesn’t suit me.) We stayed here a few years ago, and returned again because my husband said he “definitely wants to come back.” The welcome sweets—warabi mochi—were so delicious that we bought some as souvenirs. The tatami flooring in the corridors and even inside the elevator was very comfortable, and the open-air bath felt like soaking right in a Japanese garden. Dinner was excellent; we asked for a smaller portion, but it was more than enough. The Room was spacious, and the sunlit table by the window being a sunken kotatsu made it especially relaxing. Many Accommodations ask guests to bring towels from their Room to the public bath, so being able to go empty-handed felt wonderful. Breakfast was also very tasty. We had planned to leave at a leisurely pace, but there were thunderstorms and heavy rain from midnight onward, and we ended up driving for two hours through an intense rain band on our way home. Afterward we saw news about flooding, and we’re worried whether there was any damage to the Hotel or surrounding area. We’re already talking about coming again during apple season. Thank you very much—everything was truly delicious.

Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining Room, so we could relax and eat at our own pace. The service timing was perfect, and we were fully satisfied with the quality and generous portions of the meals. We also loved that they featured plenty of locally sourced ingredients. The fireworks were spectacular from the rooftop, and the open-air bath in our Room was excellent.

This was my first stay, and I stayed in a wonderful Room renovated from a warehouse, where I could enjoy a Scandinavian atmosphere. Breakfast was also very stylish—cheese, bread, soup, and fruit—and I really enjoyed it. During my stay, the Hakodate fireworks festival happened to be on, so I was able to enjoy both the night sky and the night view of Hakodate. Over two days, I also went golfing during the daytime; it’s about 30–40 minutes from the Hotel, so I felt it’s perfect for a sightseeing + golf trip as well. All of the Hotel staff were very kind and attentive, and I truly appreciate all the explanations and advice they provided. I would definitely like to stay again.

I stay here frequently. I always feel relaxed thanks to the hospitality, meals, Room, and Onsen. The meals are very delicious—so much so that I end up overeating. The Room is also great: it’s comfortable for working and comes with an Onsen, making it perfect for a refreshing break. I will definitely stay again.

We were completely satisfied with everything—the meals, the Onsen, the Room, and the service.\nSimmered golden eye snapper is a specialty at Ryokan in Chiba, but although this one looked lightly seasoned, the flavor was thoroughly infused and we enjoyed it to the very end without finding it too strong.\nWe also loved the silky feel of the Onsen.\nWe’d love to visit again!

First, the young woman who escorted us to our Room had beautiful skin, and her professional service was very soothing. The two types of Onsen were great—especially the brown one, which was pleasantly salty and exactly my kind of Onsen. Maybe it was just my imagination, but my skin felt incredibly smooth afterward. This is just my personal opinion, but if the spring source temperature is low, I might soak longer if that small bath were a warm (lukewarm) Onsen. The Room was stylish as well. There were plenty of yukata and towels, so I could use fresh towels whenever I wanted with no stress. The free drinks were also very convenient. We only had breakfast, but the rice was glossy and delicious—I’d like to visit next time with dinner included.

We arrived by taxi from Hakodate Airport. There is also a bus stop within walking distance, which is convenient. The meals were plentiful, and the squid in particular was delicious. It’s best not to expect much in terms of the view from the Room. There are two convenience stores nearby, and the refrigerator was empty so we could use it freely. The Onsen was excellent, with smooth, light water. Everyone—from the front desk to meal service and futon setup—was friendly and always smiling, which was wonderful. We will stay here again when we visit Hakodate.

We stayed for one night from July 27 with two families. From the gentleman on the parking staff at check-in, to the young man in charge of our Room, and even the shop staff, everyone provided warm, friendly service that made our stay truly comfortable. In particular, my son became very fond of the staff member in charge of our Room and still proudly displays the letter he received at check-out. Thank you so much for being so kind to him. The Room was spacious, the view from the window was wonderful, and every dish was delicious. The Onsen had excellent water quality, and my skin felt smooth after bathing. Guests of many different age groups were staying there, and after experiencing it ourselves, we completely understand why. It’s a wonderful Accommodation where anyone can relax and enjoy their time. We also appreciated the complimentary Onsen eggs and “a little beer” service, which helped our whole family have a great time. We would love to visit again.

Even after setting the navigation system, the destination disappeared along the way. Feeling a bit uneasy, we followed the signboards and drove deeper into the mountains on narrow roads—then suddenly, there was the Accommodation entrance. The warm light that appeared in that moment was a real relief. The staff’s welcome and service were also very courteous. We headed straight to the private indoor bath in our Room. Just as I was about to soak in the retro-style tub that felt like an old hot-spring cure retreat, a large hornet—stuck and unable to get out through the window—greeted us first. We somehow dealt with it using the free-flowing natural hot spring water (quite hot). Once adjusted to just the right temperature, it felt amazing on the skin and was incredibly relaxing. When my wife took her turn, this time a rhinoceros beetle stopped by to say hello. Just as explained in advance by the Accommodation, we had a rare experience surrounded by rich nature. From the scenic open-air bath, we enjoyed views of mountains stretching out as if they were ours alone. The meals were also carefully prepared. We were able to spend a truly unhurried time here. This was my first time visiting Zao Onsen. After considering several Onsen Accommodations, I chose a smaller Accommodation where I could truly relax. As I headed from Kaminoyama toward Zao, the temperature dropped, and after riding my motorcycle in the intense heat, the cool breeze felt wonderful. The Accommodation is an older building, but it was filled with many charming decorations that made me feel warm inside. The indoor Onsen was artificial, but it was pleasant and available 24 hours a day. Outside, in a separate building, there was a free-flowing hot spring bath fed directly from the source; it was strongly acidic and at a comfortable temperature, making it very enjoyable. Dinner dishes were all carefully prepared and included many local specialties from Yamagata Prefecture. It was great that each dish came with an explanation when served. The steamed dish in particular was outstanding. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of items, and I was very satisfied. All of the staff were kind and greeted us properly—I could really feel their hospitality. This is an Accommodation I would like to visit again.
