Turning around, it feels as if over 400 years of history quietly lingers here. “BLANCHETTE” in “Blanchette Nanki-Shirahama” is a coined name that unites three elements: “cachette,” meaning “hideaway” in French; “blanc,” representing Shirahama’s “white”; and “fourchette,” the French word for “fork,” a symbol of fine dining. We chose this name with the hope that you will savor delicious cuisine in an elegant, high-quality setting—like relaxing at a private villa. This auberge delivers Shirahama’s charm, inspiration, healing, and surprise through both food and heartfelt hospitality.
