Originally, it was a culinary Ryokan called "Umekiya Ryokan," which had been in operation since the Meiji era. At the time, it was a familiar presence for the local community, even being used for weddings and gatherings. However, it was eventually closed, much to the regret of many. In December 2019, the Property was renovated while preserving the charm of the old Ryokan, and reopened as "Umekiya." We strive to create a space where you can feel the atmosphere woven by time while adapting to modern travel styles. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we hope you can enjoy a leisurely stay not only at Umekiya but also in the entire town of Toshi.
