My parents and I had a very comfortable stay. They said they would like to come again, which made me happy as the one who gave them this trip as a gift. All the staff were very courteous and attentive to every detail. We relaxed with coffee in our Room, warmed up to the core in the free-flowing Onsen, and slept soundly. Every dish was delicious. The acqua pazza, in particular, was the best I have ever had.

My mother, who stayed with me and uses a wheelchair, received thoughtful and warm support, which was a great help. I only get to see my mother, who lives far away, a few times a year. I’m truly glad we were able to spend our precious time together here in comfort and at ease. My mother was very happy as well, so we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

This was my first stay at this Accommodation, and I stayed in the “Kunugi” Room. After reading Reviews beforehand, I arrived excited about the view from the Room and the generous meals—and in conclusion: it was amazing!! The view of Mt. Yufu from the open-air bath in the Room was breathtaking, and the interior had a lovely retro feel. Above all, it was incredibly spacious! That said, I personally don’t do well with insects, so coexisting with nature was a bit challenging (lol). I didn’t use the open-air bath much; instead, I enjoyed taking in the great outdoors through the glass window of the indoor bath. It made me think, “I want to come in winter!” and “I definitely want to come again!”—I’m already checking my schedule. Just as the Reviews said, the meals were very filling. There’s no way you won’t end up full! Everything was so delicious that I even had seconds of rice. They also offered to make onigiri for a late-night snack, so I gladly took them up on it (lol). After dinner, a staff member delivered the onigiri to my Room. I’ve stayed at many Ryokan across Kyushu, but this Accommodation is outstanding in terms of value for money and hospitality—an unquestionable 5 stars!! Seeing is believing. Highly recommended!! In winter, with clearer air, I’m sure you can see even more beautiful stars—so I’d love to visit again later this year or early next year. Thank you so much for such wonderful memories.

From the welcome pineapple cider, beer, and simmered yam konnyaku to a feast of Yamagata specialties, we were completely full! Dinner was served in beautiful dishes that made everything even more appetizing. The post-bath lounge had a wonderful atmosphere, the massage chairs were very comfortable, and we really appreciated the complimentary drinks and snacks. Of course, the baths were spacious and very relaxing! In the morning, the breakfast ramen was delicious. I chose rice porridge instead, and with so many side dishes I was very satisfied. The watermelon was sweet and tasty too.

I stayed here because I wanted to visit a famous nearby izakaya, and I was impressed by the stylish, locally inspired interior displays—they were a real treat for the eyes. Breakfast was homemade, warm, and delicious. Thank you very much.

The garden was magnificent. The bath was also an Onsen that warmed us to the core, and the meals were very delicious. We would definitely like to stay again. The cake included with the anniversary Plan was exceptionally good, and enjoying it with the complimentary coffee made for a truly happy time.

Conveniently located very close to Nagano Station. The mixed rice at breakfast was delicious—I had seconds. There is also an open-air bath, which was very relaxing. Automated check-in and check-out made everything quick and smooth. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the trip very pleasant. I would like to stay again.

We stayed here a few years ago, and returned again because my husband said he “definitely wants to come back.” The welcome sweets—warabi mochi—were so delicious that we bought some as souvenirs. The tatami flooring in the corridors and even inside the elevator was very comfortable, and the open-air bath felt like soaking right in a Japanese garden. Dinner was excellent; we asked for a smaller portion, but it was more than enough. The Room was spacious, and the sunlit table by the window being a sunken kotatsu made it especially relaxing. Many Accommodations ask guests to bring towels from their Room to the public bath, so being able to go empty-handed felt wonderful. Breakfast was also very tasty. We had planned to leave at a leisurely pace, but there were thunderstorms and heavy rain from midnight onward, and we ended up driving for two hours through an intense rain band on our way home. Afterward we saw news about flooding, and we’re worried whether there was any damage to the Hotel or surrounding area. We’re already talking about coming again during apple season. Thank you very much—everything was truly delicious.

We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. This Accommodation offers heartfelt hospitality throughout—and you even get to stay in a rare, registered cultural property building. As you step through the entrance, you’re welcomed by a traditional architectural space with a high-ceilinged hall and the gentle smolder of firewood in the irori hearth. The cuisine is prepared with great care, with no shortcuts. There are three Onsen baths, with fresh spring water welling up directly into them, and separate time slots for men and women so you can relax at your own pace. We chose a Plan without an in-room toilet or bath, but it was a wonderful Room filled with the soothing sound of the river. Thank you very much.

The open-air bath is surrounded by a grove of trees, offering a relaxing space that instantly lets you escape the everyday. Satisfaction was on a completely different level from any open-air bath I’ve visited before—helped, perhaps, by having it all to myself on a weekday. The meals were delicious, made with local ingredients and naturally seasoned—another highlight. The staff provided pleasant service, making genuine eye contact and attentive conversation. I’d love to visit again.

Choosing the Plan with breakfast and dinner was absolutely the right decision. Using the ingredients as they are, with a clever twist here and there, we found ourselves saying “oh!” again and again—it was a real delight. We highly recommend the meal Plan. The Room was clean, and the Onsen was very relaxing. It exceeded our expectations for the price. We’re already looking forward to the meals on our next stay. Our sincere thanks to all of your staff. It was a very nice Ryokan. The food, the baths, the service, and even the Jersey milk after bathing were all excellent. There were many international guests as well, but everyone was quiet and respectful, which I appreciated. Just one point: my child’s rate was half price, but the meal was a kids’ plate. Since my child doesn’t like “kid-style” dishes such as fried shrimp, they ate from the adults’ meal instead, and I ended up eating the kids’ meal. I would have appreciated being informed in advance that children would be served a different dinner.

From July 20, we stayed for two nights again. We traveled by train with two dogs. We’ve gotten completely used to it now, and that’s all thanks to the warmth and kindness of everyone at the Ryokan. I couldn’t make it without the Shuttle Service from the station. Thank you, as always, for your wonderful Shuttle Service. The meals reflected the season, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I rated the bath 4 stars because the stairs to and from the bath, and the airflow around that area, felt a bit uncomfortable for this time of year. The bath temperature was perfect for me. Thank you so much to all the staff for your kindness. We’ll be back again.

This was my first stay, and it was excellent—just as the reviews said. Being able to use the adjacent Onsen Facility was a real plus, and unlike around Sendai Station, there was no hassle with parking since it’s free. I was very satisfied. Breakfast was pleasantly good, and all the staff were very helpful, so I’d like to stay again. If I have the chance, I look forward to returning.

I believe it truly is 100% free-flowing hot spring water. From the moment I got in, I could feel it soaking into my skin and leaving it smooth. There were separate tubs with hotter water and slightly cooler water, and although small, the open-air bath was also very nice. If I had one request, I’d like the open-air bath to be a bit larger.

I stayed here last July with my wife, and in October with my mother and aunt. This was our third stay, at the request of my mother and aunt who wanted to visit again. As with the previous two stays, we had a wonderful time from check-in to check-out. Thank you again to all the staff.

We traveled around Kumamoto by rental car with my spouse and our two sons, and stayed at Soan in two Rooms. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The staff were kind and attentive, which made us feel truly welcome. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and we felt deeply relaxed after bathing. The Rooms were clean and comfortable, making this Accommodation a great choice for a family trip. I highly recommend it, and would love to stay again if we have the chance.

The meals were delicious, and we stayed at a new Hotel at an affordable price.
