Thank you for your heartfelt hospitality from arrival to departure. Talking with our assigned butler and the rest of the staff has also become one of the pleasures of our stay. The Room setup, Onsen, room service, dinner, wine, and breakfast were all wonderful and truly memorable. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as rumored. The Onsen on the first floor was especially impressive. The service was very attentive, and since we arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled meal time, they kindly allowed us to delay it. When making the Reservation, I had ordered a birthday cake, and they also prepared a birthday melody played on a music box, a small flower basket, and even celebratory bite-sized sekihan (red bean rice) and sweets—it truly moved me.

I stayed for two nights when a typhoon approached Yakushima and brought record-breaking heavy rain. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, I had to cancel most of my plans such as trekking, but thanks to how fulfilling my time at this Hotel was, it ended up being a memorable and wonderful trip overall. The Facility was very clean, and the staff were kind, attentive, and provided excellent service, so I was able to stay comfortably. The food was delicious—not only the buffet but also the dishes from the live kitchen—and there was a great variety that I really enjoyed. I hope to visit Yakushima again someday and make trekking happen next time, and when I do, I would love to stay here again.

The private family bath was spacious and even had a waterfall feature, with the water at just the right temperature, so we could soak and relax. The atmosphere of the large public bath was also wonderful. The meals featured local ingredients, the portions were just right, and we were very satisfied! If you have mobility issues, going up and down to the first floor may be difficult, but it was a quiet place to spend time. We’d love to visit again after a hike in the mountains.

Very pleasant and welcoming service, delicious meals, an easy-to-use Room, and a Moor Onsen. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. I was impressed to be served herring prepared with fine cuts like hamo bone-cutting—truly Hokkaido. I loved the gazpacho so much I wanted to take it home! That said, being from Kansai, I found the broth flavor of the surinagashi a little mild. Also, the duvet felt a bit heavy. I’d love to visit again someday.

This is an Onsen Accommodation you’ll want to return to again and again, with truly outstanding dedication to cuisine. Every visit leaves me thinking, “I’m so glad I came back.” Above all, I look forward to the meals each time. They are meticulous not only about the ingredients, but also about the dashi and even the grilling. The dashi is made with bonito flakes carefully shaved in-house at this Ryokan and natural true kombu kelp. The aroma and depth of flavor you notice from the very first sip are on a different level from ordinary dishes—you can taste the care that goes into it. The grilled items are also exceptional. They grill over binchotan charcoal sourced directly from a brewery in Wakayama. The eel in particular is superb: crisp, fragrant skin with tender, fluffy flesh. It’s delicious in a way that clearly reflects the chef’s precise technique and timing. I was also delighted to enjoy premium ingredients that are hard to come by in everyday life—Ginjiro uni (sea urchin), Saikyo-style hamo (pike conger), kue (longtooth grouper), Deshiko eel, and Shine Muscat “Hareou” grapes. And it’s not just about the food. The proprietress and all of the staff are genuinely warm and pleasant; their kindness comes through naturally when you interact with them. Their heartfelt hospitality is what makes this Accommodation so comfortable. The Onsen, the cuisine, and the hospitality—everything here makes you want to come back.

After finally arriving through heavy rain on this trip, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The meals were served in a calm lounge, and we could really feel the care put into each dish. The Onsen was wonderful, but unfortunately, due to torrential rain severe enough to trigger warnings, the water temperature dropped on the morning of the second day. We were especially disappointed that we couldn’t use the bath in our Room. With expressways closed, sightseeing wasn’t possible at all, so we’d like to come back next time for a retry. The Accommodation is a pleasant, clean Hotel, and all of the staff were very kind.

We enjoyed the Onsen and the cuisine again this year. Especially during meals, the staff chatted with us and showed such thoughtful care, making it a wonderful travel memory. We hope to visit again next year.

Here, I found “Fufu’s true commitment.” As for the dining, I’ll spare the details—but every single dish was so exceptional it stayed with me, to the point that it made me want to return just for the food. And then there’s the Onsen you can enjoy in your Room. Onsen water brought from Atami can be savored right in the heart of Tokyo, with absolutely no compromise. A truly luxurious time. The service was also flawless. The sense of distance, attentiveness, and every gesture—everything felt comfortable. The space, the Onsen, the food, and the people. This was an Accommodation where I could feel “Fufu’s true commitment” in all of it.

This is a perfect Accommodation no matter when you visit. It was Kyoto in extreme heat, but thanks to your thoughtful care in many ways, we had a wonderful time. The pike conger is a must in this season; it is an additional-order dish, but highly recommended. We are planning to visit again in autumn.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as the Reviews said. The food, the interior of the building, and the furnishings in the guest rooms all had great taste, and since there were only six groups of guests, we were able to relax even though it was peak season. The staff’s service was also excellent. It was an Accommodation that made us want to come back again for the first time in a while.

We stayed here last year and had such a wonderful time that we definitely wanted to come back. This year, we chose our travel destination mainly because we wanted to stay at this Accommodation again, and it did not disappoint. Our Room had an indoor bath, but the open-air bath was so relaxing that we never even found time to use the indoor one (laughs). This is truly an Accommodation we want to return to again. The building looks very old, both outside and inside. But although it’s old, it felt well cleaned, and we had no problems staying there at all. We made a Reservation for a spacious Room, and the kids were beyond excited. The food was incredibly delicious—so good that if we were going to eat out, we’d want to come here. The bath was extremely hot, but it left our skin smooth and felt great. The private baths are not by Reservation; there are two, and you can use them freely whenever one is available. We really appreciated that as well. There’s also table tennis, so the kids even begged us to spend more time at the Hotel next time. Both adults and children were satisfied. Maybe because it was during summer vacation, they even gave the kids sparklers, and some families were enjoying them outside. On our way out, they let us choose tea or water—it was a Hotel that made us want to come back again. Thank you very much.

We are comforted by the smiles of all the staff. This time, we enjoyed French cuisine for both dinner and breakfast, and it was outstanding. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Our family of four, ranging in age from our 60s to 90s, enjoyed a relaxed and unhurried stay. We were very satisfied with the Onsen, the meals, and the Room, but above all, the warm hospitality of the staff truly put us at ease. The calm atmosphere of Owani Onsen was wonderful, and we would love to return once more before the snowy season begins.

The Room was very clean, and we loved the soothing sound of the river and the lush, tree-covered view. Having a private bath was also a great perk. The dining area was a private room as well, so we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in a relaxed setting, though the portions were a bit large for us. After breakfast, we also unexpectedly enjoyed the complimentary coffee service in the lobby. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we were able to unwind and take our time.

Thank you very much for everything. Choosing this place for a long-awaited reunion with our friends as a couple was absolutely the right decision. We booked two Rooms, and although we spent time together except when sleeping, the space was spacious and comfortable. We got so caught up chatting that we used the bath twice a day, morning and night, and our friends were also impressed by how wonderful it was. Thank you to T, whom M recommended. The conversation was enjoyable, and we truly had a great time—you completely won us over. The four of us were able to enjoy delicious food in a spacious private dining Room. I stayed here with my mother. The Accommodation was spotless, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared and truly delicious! Above all, the hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation was outstanding. When I come to Yufuin again, it’s not just that I want to stay in Yufuin—I want to visit Yufuin so I can stay at this Accommodation.

My first time at Myoban Onsen. I’m excited to be able to stay at Okamotoya, which is highly rated in guidebooks. I was very satisfied with the milky-blue water. The Room was just the right size for one person and had a great view, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The dessert pudding and the orange juice at breakfast were especially appreciated since I don’t drink alcohol. Since this is a Multiple Night Stay, it really helped that they provided extra yukata and towels. Just one thing: at dinner on the first day, the rice and soup were a bit lukewarm (it was fine on the second day). Also, perhaps due to the season, the seating was quite close to other guests during meals, which made it a little hard to eat comfortably. Still, I’m so satisfied that I’d definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

I am an Onsen enthusiast who stays over 80 nights a year, mainly in Izu. I have stayed at Kameya Keian more than 30 nights in the past, and this year I stayed for 4 nights. The cuisine was artistic in presentation, and the flavor—especially the richness of the dashi—was something no other Hotel or Ryokan can match; it was absolutely outstanding. The Onsen water quality is excellent, as expected of the historic Izunagaoka Onsen, making this a top-rated Onsen Ryokan. I will visit again.
