Kurokawa Onsen boasts the largest open-air bath, "Senninburo," which is truly impressive. Additionally, there are six types of private baths, including the 150cm deep "Tachiyu" and the "Kuriburo" carved from a large rock, all available 24 hours. A dedicated property for dogs, "Wanpakutei," and a special bath for dogs are also provided.

In 1966, with the construction of a new main building, it began operations as the current Yama no Hotel Musouen. Among the uniquely charming Ryokans of Yufuin Onsen, Musouen is located on an elevated area on the southern side of the Yufuin Basin, offering a panoramic view of the majestic Mount Yufu and the Yufuin Basin. The history of Ryokan Chōraku-en Yunosuke at Tamatsukuri Onsen is the history of Tamatsukuri Onsen itself. Tamatsukuri Onsen was established in the early Nara period by our ancestor, Hasegawa Toshikata. During the Edo period, the Hasegawa family was entrusted with the management of Tamatsukuri Onsen by the Matsue domain, holding the official title of "Yunosuke." In the first year of the Meiji era, they began operating a ryokan under the name Chōraku-en. For 140 years, they have had the honor of hosting numerous literary figures, dignitaries, and occasionally members of the imperial family.

This is a long-established Ryokan at Kawayu Onsen, where Onsen springs flow from the riverbed. It is the closest Ryokan to the large open-air bath "Sennin-buro," which is available from December to February every year. In November 2008, we opened three "Kumano Modern Rooms," guest rooms with open-air baths and foot baths inspired by the bamboo, wood, and earth of Kumano. Enjoy the ultimate relaxation of a foot bath while overlooking the river's open-air bath and the Sennin-buro (available from December to February). Additionally, a private open-air bath with a reclining bath was also opened in November 2008. All Rooms face the river, allowing you to fully experience the natural beauty of Kumano.

Our pride and joy is the open-air “Senkyo” bath located directly beneath a waterfall, and guests staying in the New Building or Annex can enjoy breakfast and dinner served in their Room. Savor seasonal delicacies carefully selected by our head chef, including fresh local fish. Each Room also features a private indoor hot-spring bath fed directly from the source, and the spacious layout is ideal for families and group trips.

The only Property at Kawahora Onsen, established under the orders of Takeda Shingen. Its two hot spring sources provide 1,250 liters per minute and are known as "Shingen's Hidden Onsen." All four baths feature natural free-flowing spring water and the Property is certified by the Association for Preserving Japan’s Onsen Heritage.

You can enjoy a unique experience by crossing a suspension bridge to reach the largest open-air bath in Western Japan, accommodating up to 500 people. Additionally, there are free private baths and large public baths available without crossing the bridge.
