We stayed here with our dog. It was relaxing and comfortable, and the meals were delicious. Next time, we plan to eat a little less for lunch so we can enjoy dinner as well. The seaside walk was also wonderful, with stunning views and a refreshing breeze!

How many places are there where a feudal lord’s residence still remains at the very heart of the town even today? Being able to stay as a guest in such an estate, and to take in the buildings and gardens—things that would have been impossible to see 100 years ago—to your heart’s content, made for a fascinatingly luxurious time where you can feel history and changing eras up close. It was an Accommodation experience unlike anything I had ever had before. The guest building was new and spotless, with drinks and amenities well provided, making it very comfortable to stay.

The floors throughout the Ryokan were comfortable to walk on barefoot, making it feel like home. I completely understood why rolling suitcases are not allowed. I could really appreciate the owner’s attention to detail, and I thought it was wonderful. The location was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

I took a bus from Tokyo Station, got off at Highway Oasis Furari, and walked a little over 20 minutes. The road is somewhat difficult to walk on, but it’s not a busy street. Bath: Private-use only, with an indoor bath and an open-air bath as a set. It was clean, a comfortable size, and the water temperature wasn’t too hot—really nice. Room: Traditional Japanese-style. The futon was already laid out, so I relaxed and lounged around. There’s also a toilet and washbasin. I visited on a very humid day, so there was that distinctive tatami-room scent—nostalgic. And since there were shoji screens, I naturally woke up with the morning light. Meals: Absolutely amazing—just as rumored. Everything tasted great. It was my first time trying squid-leg croquettes, and they were delicious. Breakfast had lots of options too, and I ended up getting seconds of rice without thinking. The after-meal coffee was also excellent. The sea is close by as well; I went before breakfast and started the day feeling refreshed. Overall, this Accommodation is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy lots of fish dishes. Everyone greeted me with smiles, so I could relax comfortably and freely throughout my stay. The high ratings were well deserved—I’d love to come again.

A clean Room and a spacious large public bath. The breakfast was delicious and enjoyable as well. I only regret that I arrived early, so I could have relaxed more.

This trip was mainly to visit Ise Grand Shrine, Toba, and Futamiura. I was especially looking forward to visiting Futami Okitama Shrine and seeing the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), so I searched for the Accommodation closest to the shrine and chose “Oishiya.” From the very beginning, I was impressed by the exceptionally courteous and pleasant service. From arriving by taxi through check-in, being shown to my Room, dining, and even the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out, everything was handled in such a welcoming way that it made for a truly wonderful trip. To the proprietress, manager, attendants, Shuttle Service driver, and everyone at Oishiya, thank you very much. Dinner was a charcoal-grilled seafood kaiseki course. Starting with appetizers and sashimi, the main dishes featured an abundant selection including abalone, squid, turban shell, other shellfish, and vegetables. Being able to enjoy abalone both grilled and as sashimi made it an especially luxurious meal. The meal was so plentiful that I’m sorry I ended up leaving one dish unfinished. I also appreciate the attendant’s thoughtful consideration regarding dessert. The view of Futami’s sea from the panoramic bath was exceptional—I enjoyed it many times: before dinner, after dinner, and early in the morning. The location of this Accommodation is also perfect for accessing Futami Okitama Shrine. After check-in, after dinner, at sunrise time, and after check-out, I was able to visit a total of four times—it meant so much to me. Every view was wonderful, but the scenery at sunrise was truly unforgettable. Staying at “Oishiya” made this an outstanding trip. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay again. This was my second stay, and once again I chose the Plan with dinner and breakfast. As before, the meals were simply outstanding. With a full-course meal these days, I sometimes feel full before reaching the main dish, but here I was able to enjoy everything through dessert. There are many dishes, yet it all feels wonderfully light. Not only is the food delicious, but it also leaves you feeling comfortable afterward, allowing you to make the most of your evening—an extremely satisfying course. Breakfast was just as great as ever, and I was happy to have the freshly baked croissants again. Thank you very much.

The Japanese dinner was very delicious. Breakfast was just right. If I had to be picky, it would have been even better if rice porridge had been an option for breakfast. That said, the staff were professional and made our stay very comfortable. The Room was clean and tidy, and having a massage chair was a nice touch. The bathroom in the Room also had a drying function, which was very helpful. There were also a large public bath, a sauna, and private family baths. The large public bath is available even late at night, which worked well for us—we could bathe after sobering up around midnight. We would like to stay again.

My spouse and I stayed on June 19. The building was old, but it was well maintained, and the courtyard after the rain in the morning was lovely. All of the meals were delicious, and we both finished everything. The staff were also very pleasant. We were able to visit Amanohashidate, which we had wanted to see for a long time, and fully enjoy Kyoto by the Sea. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for accommodating my daughter’s allergies and picky eating. At her earnest request, this was our first mother-and-daughter trip to Hanamaki to experience the world of Kenji Miyazawa. I’m always concerned about her meals when we travel, but thanks to you we were able to relax and enjoy our stay with peace of mind. It is a wonderful Ryokan—so much so that 24 hours in a day didn’t feel like enough. Next time, we would love to visit again with my husband and our other daughter—the whole family. I stayed here last year and had such a wonderful experience that I decided to return again this time. Once again, my expectations were fully met. I was satisfied with everything—the Room, the meals, and the service—and was able to enjoy a truly relaxing stay. I had dinner at the counter seats, and it was an especially luxurious moment to enjoy the meal while watching a beautiful sunset. The chef’s personality was also wonderful, and I had a great time chatting about various topics throughout the evening. Last time, there were sushi refills during dinner, so I assumed it would be the same concept this time as well. However, this time the menu was thoughtfully arranged in a different way. While there were no sushi refills, sushi was served several times between courses, which made for an enjoyable experience with a different style from last time. Every dish was delicious and highly satisfying. Overall, I felt comfortable throughout my stay and am very pleased. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay here again. This was my first trip to Sendai, and I also visited the Matsushima area for the first time. From the hospitality to how well-stocked the amenities were, everything exceeded my expectations, and the view from the room was wonderful. The meals were also very delicious. I did notice a few small flies in my room on the 4th floor, but other than that I was satisfied.

Beppu for the first time in a year—and GAHAMA Terrace. Nothing to complain about; we had a very comfortable stay. I really do love this place. I also love the view from the maisonette—being at eye level with the sea is wonderful—but it might be better if the plants were trimmed a bit. I know they grow back quickly in summer, so it may be difficult, but from inside, having the ocean fill the entire window is simply perfect. We’ll visit again when it gets cooler. GAHAMA is amazing, and Beppu is amazing too.

The Hotel was clean, and we enjoyed delicious meals. However, it was exactly sunset time, and it was disappointing that the curtains were closed so we couldn’t see it. The Onsen had a wonderfully silky texture that left our skin smooth! We used it three times. One thing that concerned me: when we arrived, a staff member came to take our luggage. While we waited with our dog in a stroller, we were told to wait outside until check-in at the front desk was completed. Waiting outside in the summer heat didn’t feel appropriate. If possible, I would have liked to wait inside—even in a corner of the lobby—while only one representative went in to complete the check-in. I heard that around autumn there will be a new Accommodation where guests can stay with their dogs, and I’m looking forward to it! I would also be very happy if there were a dog run.

Simply the best. The staff’s professionalism, service, Room, meals, and architecture—everything was outstanding, and it made for a truly satisfying stay. The fittings were beautifully maintained, and it was fun just walking around and taking in the Facility. The amenities were well stocked, and the minibar was exceptionally well supplied, making for a wonderful time. And above all, the food was incredible—both dinner and breakfast were a perfect 10/10. Great care is also put into the desserts, which were delicious. A place I definitely want to return to.

We stay here every August with my three sisters’ families. This year we were lucky with the weather and had a great time in the pool, enjoyed table tennis, and both my daughter and grandchildren were very satisfied. They also prepared a private dining room for dinner, so we could eat without worrying even when our 2-year-old grandchild was running around. Of course, the food was delicious. All of the staff were very kind, and we are especially grateful for the service at dinner. We plan to stay again next year.

This was our first stay, and in short, both our dog and we were completely satisfied. The Facility was spotless and felt very clean. The daybed in the Room was extremely comfortable, and we were able to relax and lounge around together with our dog. Unfortunately it rained that day, but the ocean-view scenery was still wonderfully refreshing. Next time, I’d like to make a Reservation for the same type of Room again. The service struck the perfect balance—attentive without being intrusive—and left a great overall impression. There was also an excellent selection of dog supplies and treats; truly thoughtful service that anticipates every need. We enjoyed all of the meals and drinks as well—they were delicious. We’ll likely be back again soon, and we look forward to seeing you then. Thank you very much for everything.

This was my second stay.\nThe all-you-can-drink alcohol and juices available right after check-in, along with unlimited snacks and sweets, truly make it a paradise for relaxing. Since it’s adults-only, it’s quiet with a great atmosphere. The property was spotless and well maintained, and the meals were delicious.\nI’ll definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

The hospitality felt more like a luxury Ryokan than a temple lodging. Our Room was upgraded to a special suite, and we were able to relax in the spacious “Hojo” Room overlooking an expansive garden. The shojin-ryori cuisine was beautifully presented and delicious throughout. After dinner, we took a short walk (about 3 minutes) to Danjo Garan. With bonfires lit and the area illuminated, we caught a glimpse of Kobo Daishi’s mandala world through sights such as Konpon Daito, Saito Pagoda, and Kondo Hall. The next morning, we joined the morning service from 6:00 a.m., which felt truly solemn and moving. The Dharma talk by Archbishop Miyata explained Buddhism from a global perspective with humor, making it easy to understand. I strongly feel that Koyasan is best experienced with an overnight stay. I visited again after three years to enjoy the full tiger puffer course. It is delicious every time, and I never get tired of it. The hassun, soup dish, and takikomi rice were also excellent, and I ended up drinking quite a lot again. Of course, the ara course and other courses are also very tasty, but I still think Yoyokaku’s tiger puffer course is the best. The staff and everyone at the Accommodation were very pleasant, and the building and garden felt spacious and relaxing, so I was able to unwind once again.
