From Kyoto, we introduce a new lifestyle called “GOOD NATURE,” which allows you to incorporate healthy and beneficial elements into your life in your own way. In 2020, we became the first Hotel in the world to receive the “WELL Certification (v1),” awarded to buildings that prioritize environmental and health considerations. Our features include a green wall in the courtyard that replicates Kyoto’s vegetation and designs made with natural materials. We also offer a variety of activities such as yoga and meditation. Since our opening, we have aimed for a “sustainable, non-disposable society” by encouraging guests to bring their own toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and razors instead of providing them in guest rooms. (As of April 2022, amenities are available for purchase at the front desk, with proceeds supporting circular economy initiatives.)

The Natural Countryside Onsen Fukahori-tei is located in the heart of the Chikugo Plain, within a granary area.
