"Kinokawa Onsen Registered Tangible Cultural Property Inn Mikiyama" is a Japanese Ryokan with a 300-year history, located in the heart of the nostalgic Japanese Onsen town, Kinokawa Onsen. Renowned author Naoya Shiga made this Property his regular stay, where his famous short story "At Kinosaki" was born. The wooden architecture, built in 1927 and recognized as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, along with a 300-tsubo Japanese garden, retains its charm. In November 2013, the Property underwent a major renovation of its lobby, dining area, and large public bath, transforming into a modern Japanese Ryokan that blends history with contemporary design.From the Room's veranda, guests can enjoy the changing seasons in the garden, or lose themselves in a book in the library. After changing into a yukata, take a leisurely stroll to explore the local Onsen baths, and then savor the delights of the Sea of Japan paired with local sake in the modern dining area. Ryotei KAI stands on a hilltop at Yuhigaura, overlooking the magnificent Sea of Japan. A rare infinity Onsen open-air bath lets you enjoy the renowned Kansai seascape and sunsets from the rotenburo. Of our 15 rooms, 11 feature a scenic-view bath where you can enjoy Yuhigaura Onsen 24 hours a day. Set on expansive grounds that invite tranquility, our wooden architecture is designed to create warmth even in crisp, dignified air. This is a Ryokan located in the center of the Onsen town. It faces the Ōtani River and a row of willow trees, situated between Ichinoyu and Yanagiyu. You can enjoy visiting outdoor baths even on rainy or snowy days. Summer fireworks can be seen immediately upon stepping out of the entrance. All rooms are Japanese-style, equipped with air conditioning, toilets with bidets, and air purifiers. The men's bath includes an open-air bath. Colorful yukata rentals are available, and plans featuring Matsuba crab are offered.

Hotel Kinparo is an Accommodation offering breathtaking views of the Sea of Japan, located 4 km from the Kinosaki Onsen district on Hiyoriyama Coast, one of the San’in Kaigan Geopark’s most scenic spots. Enjoy seasonal flavors such as Tajima beef, fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan unique to the fishermen’s town of Tsuiyama, and limited-time Kasumi crab and crab hot pot. The first-generation owner, Tadayoshi Ota, was a connoisseur so esteemed that Rosanjin described him as "the most notable man in Hokuriku, a national guest of Kanazawa, and a great figure in tea gatherings." It is said that tea masters, connoisseurs, and gourmets, including Dono Masuda, frequently visited from Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, drawn by Tadayoshi's hospitality. His attention to ingredients and dedication to tableware were so exceptional that they were even passed down to "Hoshioka Saryo." As Rosanjin remarked, "He did not use tea as an ornament for himself nor as a business," reflecting the heartfelt and unpretentious hospitality that was the philosophy of Yamanoo. After the war, adapting to changes in lifestyle, "Yamanoo" was reborn as "Kanazawa Yamanoo." The current owner, Tatsuya Motoya, is the fifth generation since Tadayoshi. While time has passed and the name has changed, the spirit of hospitality, "one guest, one pavilion," has been faithfully carried on since its founding.

A property where you can savor the seafood of Echizen. Fresh seasonal seafood, especially the winter delicacy "Echizen Crab," is our pride. Additionally, at the panoramic public bath overlooking the beautiful Sea of Japan, we use the Echizen Suisen no Sato Onsen, which gently soothes the skin and relieves travel fatigue. Facing the Sea of Japan, Tango–Kumihama is a scenic area where many beautiful landscapes remain. A legend has been passed down here. In the Kamakura period, the monk Ippen traveled across The whole country to save people, distributing nembutsu talismans and performing dancing nembutsu. After finishing his preaching in Kyoto and heading toward San’in, he was chanting the nembutsu in Kumihama when clouds suddenly gathered and a blue dragon appeared over the sea. Dragon worship has long been practiced in this region, and it is said that the blue dragon revealed itself before Ippen to form a bond with the nembutsu. Even today, the Sea of Japan as seen from Kumihama retains an air of mystery. Like Ippen once did, you can be embraced by this scenery and find rest here.

Though the surface of the water changes from moment to moment, the hot spring continues to flow abundantly beyond time. Its presence recalls Basho’s teaching of “Fueki Ryuko”—that the unchanging and the ever-changing share the same source. Since receiving our charge from Gen’emon Araya, head steward of the hot spring under the Maeda family of the former Daishoji Domain in Kaga, we have carried forward—day by day in our work—the essence of what must remain unchanged and what should evolve.
