The food, the massage treatment, the Onsen, the clean Room, and the warm hospitality of the owner and his wife—everything was outstanding, and we were completely satisfied. From the welcoming staff to the front desk team, Room guidance, and dining staff, everyone was courteous and made us feel truly comfortable. The Room was clean, and both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very relaxing. Each dish was beautifully prepared—from seasoning to presentation—and everything was delicious. Thank you for giving us such a soothing time on this trip with friends. Next time, we would love to visit again with our family.

It was a wonderful stay. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. Even though the weather wasn’t great, we could still enjoy the garden and a hint of autumn foliage, and relax at a leisurely pace surrounded by lush greenery. The meals were delicious, the Onsen was very comfortable, and it made us wish we could stay for two or three days. If we have the chance, we would love to visit again.

I first learned about this Accommodation in a travel magazine and had wanted to visit for years. From the moment I made my Reservation, the staff reached out several times with thoughtful messages, which felt truly warm and welcoming. I’m grateful for their kind advice on transportation as well as nearby recommended spots and restaurants. Set on a vast property, the Accommodation offers wonderful views, and I was thrilled to encounter deer while strolling around. The Onsen had excellent water quality, the Facility was well maintained, and I was able to unwind and soothe my fatigue while enjoying the scenery. A local regular I spoke with in the bath said they stay here every month—I couldn’t help but envy them. It was an outstanding Accommodation where both mind and body could fully relax. I would love to visit again. Every staff member was gentle and attentive, and their hospitality made it possible for me to truly feel at ease throughout my stay—each day felt happy. After five years, we finally had the chance to stay at Otogi no Yado Komeya. Over the past five years, we made several Reservations but had to Cancel the Reservation due to circumstances. This time, determined to make it happen, we went on a summer Onsen trip. The Room, hospitality, and cuisine were all outstanding. The free-flowing Onsen in particular felt like a high-quality lotion. We left feeling refreshed in both body and mind. This is our number-one Accommodation that we would love to visit again. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

We enjoyed the Onsen and the cuisine again this year. Especially during meals, the staff chatted with us and showed such thoughtful care, making it a wonderful travel memory. We hope to visit again next year.

This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

The free-flowing, continuously fed Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and each private bath had a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine was perfect for wine lovers, with rare wines to match. The interior design—and the lamps placed throughout—were all beautifully chosen. Right in front of the Accommodation, there is a row of cherry trees along the riverbank; I can only imagine how stunning the view must be during cherry blossom season. I won’t wait until then—I will definitely return again soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. Since the Hotel is located in a villa area, it was very quiet, and we even saw squirrels in the trees outside the Room window. The front desk staff were also very kind and helpful. Although this is a Plan without meals, light snacks such as sweets and cup noodles are available next to the front desk. In the morning, bread and rice are also provided. We had a wonderful stay and would like to use this Accommodation again.

While looking for a Hotel near Churaumi Aquarium, I chose this Accommodation because it had excellent Reviews on every site I checked. We stayed in a family Room, and it was spacious and spotless—our kids were thrilled the moment they saw it! Since you take off your shoes before entering, it felt very clean, which we really appreciated. The bath area was also clean, and as a family that loves bathing, having a large public bath was a big plus. The morning bath felt wonderful too. We had both dinner and breakfast at the buffet. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. We had buffets at Resort Hotels on the two previous days as well, but the Okinawan dishes here—such as umi-budo (sea grapes), Okinawa soba, goya champuru, and tacos—were the best at Litt Hotel Nakijin. There was also sashimi, and the seafood rice bowl was excellent! The staff were kind, and we were completely satisfied with everything about this Hotel. When we visit Okinawa again, we would definitely like to stay here again. I’m glad we could spend our last night of our Okinawa trip at such a wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much!

This was our first stay here. Although we originally planned to come by car and had to switch to the train at short notice, you still picked us up at the scheduled time. The Room was just the right size for two people, and we also appreciated how clean it was. There were plenty of amenities and many complimentary drinks, so we were able to relax and take our time. Each dish was carefully prepared, and combined with dining in a private room, it felt truly luxurious. Everything tasted excellent. We enjoyed the chocolates served at the end of dinner during our morning coffee time. The late-night snack was also refined and delicious. The bath required adjusting the temperature, but that actually allowed us to set it exactly how we liked it, which was great. As it is a sulfur hot spring, there was a faint scent that lingered after bathing, but it wasn’t too strong—just enough to feel its benefits. Breakfast was also delicious: kamameshi cooked with dashi with slightly indulgent side dishes, all thoughtfully prepared. Overall, we were truly satisfied with our stay.

Nestled in lush mountain greenery, this was an Accommodation where the mind truly unwinds. The Room, filled with natural light and comfort, offers beautiful views through large windows—and simply gazing at the greenery beyond makes you feel pleasantly removed from everyday life. Most memorable of all was the Onsen. As I surrendered to the water bubbling up from beneath my feet, its gentle mineral quality seemed to seep slowly into my body, and I could truly feel the unique restorative power of Tsuta Onsen. The meals featured an abundance of local Aomori ingredients, allowing us to savor the richness of the region in every dish. The tasteful calligraphy and paintings by Keigetsu Omachi displayed throughout the building also conveyed a deep sense of this Accommodation’s history. Nature, Onsen, cuisine, and culture. Spending unhurried time with my family while surrounded by all of it became an unforgettable memory. I would love to return with my whole family again in a different season.

I had always thought that if I were to stay in Hakone, it would be at Suishoen, and my wish finally came true—I was able to visit at last! It was exactly the Accommodation I had imagined, and I could truly feel the high quality in every aspect, making for a very fulfilling stay. I was especially looking forward to the meals—not only were they delicious, but they were also a feast for the eyes. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. That said, the corn rice at dinner felt a bit overdone; I think simple corn would have been enough. The Room was more spacious than I expected and very relaxing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bath with a footbath feature. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding—this was an Accommodation where I felt truly comfortable.

During my Kyushu trip in mid-June, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) in the “Chikurintei—Panoramic Open-Air Bath (Japanese-Western Room)” nestled within Mifuneyama Rakuen’s vast grounds. I stayed in the “Yamazakura” Room, which offered views of Mt. Mifune from the corridor and garden, and even had a private gate with direct access to Mifuneyama Rakuen. The open-air bath is a standing-style bath set among trees. It creates a unique floating sensation, and because the water pressure is applied evenly over the whole body, I felt less fatigue afterward. Being able to enjoy the garden and sky while standing also adds to the wonderful sense of openness. The Onsen water is clear and colorless—an alkaline simple spring—with an exceptionally gentle feel on the skin, so I never tired of soaking. The indoor bath is heated groundwater, but I also enjoyed it: the hinoki tub was very comfortable, and it didn’t take long to fill. What stood out most was the outstanding quality of dinner. The kaiseki course featuring seasonal local ingredients such as Takezaki crab immediately draws you in with its dashi—clear yet deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced. Each dish reflected the season in both taste and presentation: refined and truly beautiful. Beyond ingredient quality alone, there was a confident simplicity backed by real skill. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, every meal was flawless at an exceptional level. Simply superb—thank you for such a feast. Another highlight was visiting teamLab’s art installations at the affiliated Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel on the same grounds (guests of Chikurintei can enter free). From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re struck by countless lamps evoking forest flowers and sunlight filtering through trees. The most breathtaking work was “Megalis in Ruins Bathhouse,” where digital projections of seasonal flowers illuminate massive stones rising throughout an abandoned public-bath space. When we visited, different scenes cycled continuously—twelve distinct visuals representing all months—and we became fully immersed for about an hour until they completed one full round late at night before closing. Also worth mentioning: the cold-brew coffee served in the lounge area was delicious—I refilled it many times and enjoyed it back in my Room as well. To everyone at “Oyado Chikurintei,” thank you sincerely for creating such a wonderful stay. I will absolutely return when I visit Takeo Onsen again.

Thank you for taking care of our family. We visit Izu, which we love, several times a year, but in recent years it has been difficult for all of us to travel together. This time, our two children brought us to Gyokusui, a place I had been saying for a long time that I wanted to visit. Since we live in a landlocked prefecture, we tend to choose an Accommodation near the sea, but choosing Gyokusui this time was absolutely the right decision. It rained lightly on and off over the two days, but it was truly a fulfilling stay at the Accommodation. The greenery outside the window was so vivid, and everything—the private baths, large public bath, and open-air bath—was at just the right temperature and spotlessly clean and beautiful throughout. As there were five adults this time, instead of a Room with an open-air bath, we chose a Room with a footbath and a spacious terrace with great views. We relaxed while looking out at the garden and chatting. The meals were beautiful to look at and delicious as well—we all ate too much at both breakfast and dinner. No matter where you are in the Accommodation, it’s soothing. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

A relaxing, tranquil Accommodation for adults. Watch the ever-changing sky, sea, and forest, and the sparkling stars; soak in the Onsen whenever you like; and enjoy high-quality meals... Above all, the staff’s hospitality is outstanding. During my stay, they never once asked for my name or Room number, and they even adjusted the end time of dinner to fit my spa Reservation. Thanks to their seamless communication and thoughtful care, I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. I will be back again. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed in Tsuki 1 and Tsuki 7 from the Tsuki series before, but I visited this time because I really wanted to stay in Tsuki 5, which is highly praised by repeat guests of Kasuien. The team at Kasuien kindly accommodated my request, and I was able to enjoy a wonderful stay. This time the kids were away at summer camp, so it was just the two of us—and we fully enjoyed Kasuien as a couple. In the height of summer, being able to experience the endless Higashiyama forest and the chorus of cicadas—immersed in nature while staying in the comfort of Kasuien—was simply amazing. The staff were the familiar faces we always see, which made us feel very at ease. We debated going to Dominica, but chose in-room dining for dinner with a Kasuien bento—absolutely the right choice. You can enjoy both the meal and Kasuien’s comfort to the fullest. It would be such a waste to go out! The stay-in experience was fantastic. We’d love to come again.

I stayed for one night and two days. Rooms & Amenities → The in-room open-air bath was clean and very relaxing. Hospitality & Service → I was warmly welcomed from check-in, and the staff responded pleasantly whenever I needed anything, which made me very happy. Onsen Baths → The large public bath was spacious, and the outdoor open-air bath area was also clean. I also appreciated the service of having drinks and towels available in front of the sauna room. Dining → I only had breakfast, but it was delicious.

Using aromatic vegetables, fish, and meat from the Kyoto area, each ingredient is prepared and served with the utmost care to preserve its natural fragrance, flavor, and texture in the best possible way. The chef’s evolving craft was truly impressive. I was also moved by the sommelier’s sincere dedication to wine. The cuisine feels perfectly suited to this one-of-a-kind Meiji-era mansion dining experience in Japan.
