This is our second stay. We felt so comfortable last time, the meals were delicious, and we slept well, so my husband and I came back. The seasonal dishes are amazing too! Once again, we were able to relax and unwind. We also really enjoyed the simmered potatoes made by your grandfather—they were delicious. We’d love to visit again during the colder season!

As our daughter reached the age for her Coming-of-Age celebration, we stayed here as a family of four to mark the occasion. From the very beginning, we were impressed by the warm welcome and being served matcha tea and sweets. Although it’s close to Dogo Onsen, the property offers a beautiful, spacious, and tranquil atmosphere—truly a luxurious annex just as described. There are famous paintings and exquisite Lladró ornaments throughout, making every moment feel blissful! The Onsen was wonderful as well! We would love to visit again on another special occasion.

We visited during the Obon holidays, and the drive was not crowded at all. The Accommodation is in a great location, just a short walk to Irago Cape Lighthouse. Right in front is Koiji-ga-hama Beach, and we were able to relax at the Accommodation while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. The proprietress, the young proprietress, and all the staff were wonderfully pleasant and welcoming. We have stayed at many Ryokan and Hotels, but we think this place is the best. The food was also excellent, and we were completely satisfied with everything. We would like to take good care of the hibiscus we received on our way home—thank you very much. We would definitely like to visit again.

We were satisfied with everything—the guest room, the private open-air bath, and the restaurant. The retro furnishings in the room were truly comforting, and we were impressed by the thoughtful care in the meals. We enjoyed a level of luxury that exceeded the price. This is a Hotel we would love to visit again. The Hotel staff were also wonderful. As I get older, I find peace in an Accommodation like this. I hadn’t had many chances to visit Chichibu before, but this was an excellent Hotel as a base for visiting Mitsumine Shrine, Chichibu Shrine, and Hodosan Shrine (the Chichibu Three Shrines pilgrimage), as well as sightseeing in Nagatoro. Thank you very much.

This was our first stay as a family trip. The meals, the baths, and the hospitality were all extremely satisfying. Every dish was made with local ingredients, and the seasoning brought out the natural flavors—exactly to our taste. We also enjoyed relaxing in the log-cabin-style restaurant while looking out at the garden. We used only the open-air bath. Even though it was raining, the water temperature was just right and helped us unwind. *Since it’s completely outdoors, those who dislike insects may want to avoid it in summer—they do fly around. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

I decided to stay because the Reviews were so positive, though honestly I wasn’t expecting that much. However, the Onsen, meals, and service were truly outstanding. The ceramic bath and private baths could be used as many times as you like with no additional charge, and the staff made me feel comfortable leaving everything in their hands. I highly recommend the ceramic bath. The large public bath also had a great view and an open, relaxing atmosphere, and the sauna was spacious as well. Of course, the bath in the Room was also excellent—you can adjust the temperature. Above all, every meal was exceptional! Both the French cuisine and Japanese cuisine may have been my best ever. It was a moving experience that delighted all five senses. The service—and conversations—from each chef and all of the staff were truly wonderful! I would definitely love to return again. At first, the parking area felt a bit scary. There are wheel stops, but if you come in with too much speed, it feels like you could end up in the river. There were three private baths, all a good size. If they were available, we could use them as much as we wanted, and one of the private baths even had a sauna. Amenities are the type you take what you need to your Room, and there was a wide variety. After bathing, they also had ice cream and black soybean tea available. Since it’s all-inclusive, drinks were set out on both the 1st and 2nd floors, which was convenient. On the 2nd floor where the Rooms are, there were two massage chairs that we could use freely. Dinner was a white squid course; it wasn’t live squid so it wasn’t at its sweetest, but there was still sweetness—and for two people it was more than enough quantity (half might have been plenty). We came for nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), and we assumed one fish for two people, so we were surprised that each person got one. It was delicious. The Room was very clean, and the whole Ryokan smelled wonderful. Even though winter is crab season—and I expected everything to smell like crab—it felt very refined with a pleasant woody scent instead. There are no windows so don’t expect any views; however, the space with the sofa (with TV), bed, and washbasin area is very comfortable. The downside is that you can’t tell what the weather is like outside. But if you’re looking to enjoy an escape focused on eating and relaxing indoors, that may not be a bad thing. Breakfast was excellent across the board—the rice cooked in an earthenware pot was great, and so was the mirin-dried horse mackerel. On our way out we also tried grinding coffee with a stone mill for ourselves for once again enjoyed truly good coffee after a long time.

Thank you for your heartfelt hospitality from arrival to departure. Talking with our assigned butler and the rest of the staff has also become one of the pleasures of our stay. The Room setup, Onsen, room service, dinner, wine, and breakfast were all wonderful and truly memorable. Thank you very much.

While we were waiting for the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out, they kindly offered us cold drinks and showed great consideration in many ways. The meals were delicious, and the tableware was stylish—both the taste and presentation were very satisfying.

I chose this Accommodation for my boyfriend’s birthday trip. It was my first stay here, and it far exceeded my expectations. Above all, the staff’s service was truly outstanding, and I was moved by every thoughtful gesture. The property has the charming presence of a grand traditional Japanese house, and the garden is beautifully maintained. We enjoyed a luxurious time dining at a relaxed pace while looking out over the garden. The basashi (horse sashimi) in particular was the best I’ve ever had—absolutely unforgettable. The Room was spacious and spotless, very comfortable, and the view from the window was wonderful. The building also has delightful surprises and playful touches that even first-time guests can enjoy, which kept me excited throughout our stay. They also offer an excellent selection of sake, so I especially recommend this Accommodation to sake lovers. It was one of the most memorable places I’ve ever stayed—completely satisfying in every way. I will definitely return.

As a car and racing enthusiast, I love the details of this Hotel. The weather wasn’t great this time, but I was glad I could still see Mt. Fuji from my Room. I always choose the “view assigned by the Hotel,” and you can enjoy it no matter which side you get. This time again, we had dinner at Robata Oyama, and it was delicious—we were very satisfied. I also really like the breakfast.

I love traveling solo to Onsen and visit places all over the whole country. I’d heard of Umegashima Onsen, but for some reason it had never been on my list—what a loss, haha. Last month I stayed at Umegashima Onsen for the first time (at a different Accommodation), and it quickly became one of my favorite Onsen. This time as well, it was great that they only accept a small number of guests and offer private reserved baths. That said, I like to soak in the Onsen whenever I want as many times as I like, so I often choose an Accommodation with an in-Room bath or one that’s available 24 hours. Unfortunately, here it was only available until 11:00 p.m. Also, having to ask the staff each time to get the key made me feel hesitant. I wish I could use it more freely without worrying about bothering anyone. The meals were absolutely delicious. The ingredients were different from what I’m used to in the Izu Peninsula or Hakone, which made everything feel very fresh.

We visited to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. It was a long drive from Yokohama to Nagano, but this was a wonderful Accommodation that truly made us glad we came. The in-room open-air bath was a little hot and needed some adjustment, but it was clean, spacious, and free of insects. The shampoo and conditioner also left our hair smooth and silky. (Some Ryokan at this level still leave your hair feeling rough.) All the staff who welcomed us were smiling, and during dinner the head chef served the main dish right at our table. Everything was delicious—made with local ingredients and carefully prepared with great attention to detail. On our way out, they even opened the souvenir shop in the main building earlier for us, so I was happy to be able to buy the souvenirs I wanted. My parents were very pleased as well, so we would love to visit again while they are still healthy.

On August 7, with concerns about the impact of a strong typhoon, we headed to Kyotango—a trip we had been looking forward to for a long time. Due to my misunderstanding, I entered the entrance at 2:00 PM and found no one at the front desk. Of course—check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Even so, they assisted us right away and guided us to our Room in about 10 minutes. That was where I started causing trouble. I couldn’t wait for the dinner and breakfast that receive rave Reviews. Since we arrived early, I was also the first to use the large public bath. The view of the sea from the open-air bath was incredible. The right edge of the tub had a slope, so I assumed it was thoughtful design for children and elderly guests—but there was an identical slope on the left as well. Looking closer, I noticed the rim of the tub was curved: it was actually designed as a reclining bath. The slopes were made so you could lie back and still see the ocean. I enjoyed it alone, deeply impressed. Afterward, I had a canned beer and some complimentary sake (excellent) in the relaxation area and returned to our Room—then an accident happened: we received news of a death in our close family. After discussing with my wife, we decided to give up on breakfast we had been looking forward to. Since it took about 3 hours and 45 minutes on our way there, we asked at reception if we could leave early in the morning—and they kindly accommodated this as well. Dinner began while my mind was unsettled, but everything from the first appetizer onward was delicious, and my wife and I found ourselves exchanging smiles again and again. Partway through, we were guided outside to watch the sunset from the terrace—body, mind, and palate all completely satisfied. Despite our very early departure time, they even saw us off when we left. I was truly moved. We caused you so much inconvenience—thank you for giving us such an outstanding Accommodation experience.

We chose this Hotel because it could accommodate our family of five. There were three double beds and a double-size sofa bed, plus a hammock in the Room. The bathtub on the terrace was amazing—bathing while looking out at the ocean was the best. The private bath within the Facility was also a comfortable size. The food was delicious, and the staff’s hospitality felt warm and genuine. With a typhoon approaching, they even helped secure an extended stay in case our flight was canceled. In the end it wasn’t canceled and we were able to go home, but it gave us great peace of mind during our stay. Being close to the airport was also convenient, as it let us relax until the very last minute before leaving.

I stayed here for the first time last year and it was wonderful, so this year I stayed for two nights. This is a very comfortable Hotel, with spotless Rooms, high-quality meals, and excellent Facilities. As it’s truly all-inclusive, I was able to spend three days without opening my wallet at all. Whenever the food or snacks started to run low, they were replenished immediately—the staff’s attentiveness is outstanding. I also saw the manager throughout all three days; it made me wonder when they ever rest, as they were working alongside the staff like everyone else. Every time I visit, I’m impressed by the hospitality of the staff at Imaisou. Thank you very much. I would love to visit again next year!

I had a wonderful stay. I accidentally arrived at Glover Garden, so I called the Hotel and they kindly helped me. When I entered, they greeted me very politely: “Were you the one who called earlier? We’ve been waiting for you—you arrived sooner than we expected.” After that, every staff member continued to treat me with warm hospitality. That alone made me feel glad I chose this Hotel. In the lobby there are two counters—one open until 10:30 p.m. and another available all day—where you can enjoy as many drinks and snacks as you like. Since I arrived late, I do regret not getting there earlier so I could have tried more from the limited-time counter. The braised pork and chocolate were delicious; there was plenty of braised pork left, so if I hadn’t eaten too much at my dinner gathering, I could have finished it all… maybe next time. Still, the all-day counter was more than enough to enjoy. The lounge also has a great selection of books, so I stayed up a bit reading while enjoying tea and sweets from the all-day counter. It was such a relaxing time. Breakfast in a steamer basket was comforting and delicious as well—the yuzu miso was especially amazing. They also had loquat and mandarin drinks. I expected them to be sweet, but they tasted properly like tea with just a subtle hint of flavor. Personally (with my sweet tooth), the mandarin juice added to the all-day counter in the morning was particularly tasty. There is no Onsen (as expected), and while this is clear if you check in advance, toothbrushes are not provided for sustainability reasons. However, there’s a convenience store about 50 meters away from the Hotel, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. I’ll definitely come again! Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

This Accommodation has become more upscale in recent years and is now a bit of a splurge for me, so I visited this time to take advantage of a great deal. As always, the Onsen was wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. I was also happy that you remembered my various requests from previous stays. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality again—I’d love to visit again when I find another opportunity.

This was my second stay. The meals were delicious, and the in-Room bath was wonderful—I’d love to stay again. The sirloin at dinner had a bit more fat than I prefer for my age, so I would appreciate it if there were a little more lean meat; however, everything else was extremely satisfying!!! And so luxurious! It felt like, “Is it really okay to serve this much matsutake?” I’m very happy with the in-Room bath as well, but because I’m on the larger side, some water overflows when I get in. Since the bath area and Room are truly barrier-free, I worry that the water might flow into the Room, so I have to get in very slowly, which is the only downside. It would be great if there were something to prevent water from flowing out. The salted bread we received upon arrival was delicious, and we bought the same bread at the bakery next door before heading home the next day! We plan to buy it again next time!!
