We had some unexpected free time and stayed here as a couple. This is our third visit, as it’s an Accommodation where you can relax in luxury. The Room, service, and Onsen were consistently satisfying as always, but the cuisine felt like it had reached a new level. Not only was everything delicious, each course brought surprise after surprise. Nothing—even the dessert—felt ordinary, and we were truly delighted. Perhaps due to the impact of the Kumamoto earthquakes, it seems a bit easier to make a Reservation right now. We’d love to return again.

I stayed for two nights to attend a party held at this Hotel. They kindly helped me arrange a kimono to wear on the day and advised me on gifts for local hosts, which was greatly appreciated. The Room and spa were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality of the Hotel staff was excellent, making my stay in Osaka truly pleasant.

This trip was mainly to visit Ise Grand Shrine, Toba, and Futamiura. I was especially looking forward to visiting Futami Okitama Shrine and seeing the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), so I searched for the Accommodation closest to the shrine and chose “Oishiya.” From the very beginning, I was impressed by the exceptionally courteous and pleasant service. From arriving by taxi through check-in, being shown to my Room, dining, and even the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out, everything was handled in such a welcoming way that it made for a truly wonderful trip. To the proprietress, manager, attendants, Shuttle Service driver, and everyone at Oishiya, thank you very much. Dinner was a charcoal-grilled seafood kaiseki course. Starting with appetizers and sashimi, the main dishes featured an abundant selection including abalone, squid, turban shell, other shellfish, and vegetables. Being able to enjoy abalone both grilled and as sashimi made it an especially luxurious meal. The meal was so plentiful that I’m sorry I ended up leaving one dish unfinished. I also appreciate the attendant’s thoughtful consideration regarding dessert. The view of Futami’s sea from the panoramic bath was exceptional—I enjoyed it many times: before dinner, after dinner, and early in the morning. The location of this Accommodation is also perfect for accessing Futami Okitama Shrine. After check-in, after dinner, at sunrise time, and after check-out, I was able to visit a total of four times—it meant so much to me. Every view was wonderful, but the scenery at sunrise was truly unforgettable. Staying at “Oishiya” made this an outstanding trip. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay again. Four women stayed in a Japanese-Western style room—ocean view!! We relaxed on the spacious sofa, and our conversation really flowed. Above all, the meals were outstanding. Every dish in the creative dinner was simply “Delicious!” Breakfast was a perfect 100, too! The front desk’s attentiveness and the restaurant’s serving timing were also flawless.

We used Reserve for his birthday. The guest room and Facilities were very spacious and spotless. This Accommodation pays close attention to every detail, from the building itself to the furniture and small touches. It was exactly as imagined, with wonderful hospitality—we were completely satisfied! Breakfast was very luxurious; I chose the Japanese set meal, and there was also a salad and dessert buffet, so we were fully satisfied from the morning. The space was so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. We would love to come again, and it’s an Accommodation I can confidently recommend to friends.

I had the pleasure of staying in the newly renovated “Minna” at Betsuyu. As you’d expect from a Good Design Award winner, the space was so impressive that I couldn’t help but gasp when I entered. The Room was exceptional in every way—its generous size, high ceilings, and luxurious private Onsen, sauna, and wash area created a one-of-a-kind layout. Saunas can sometimes feel enclosed, but being able to enjoy it while looking out at the sea made it truly outstanding. The service was excellent as well, with great Diamond member benefits. From the delicious ohagi welcome sweets to late-night snacks and even bread as a souvenir, everything was more than satisfying. I chose a crab course for dinner that was slightly out of season, so next time I’d like to visit in a different season and enjoy other dishes. There is also a large public bath, but having everything—Onsen, sauna, and cold bath—complete within my own Room made this an incredibly satisfying stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 3-day, 2-night stay. We visited to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and thanks to your thoughtful hospitality, we were able to enjoy a relaxing and healing trip. Thank you. At the beach below the Hotel, it was quite windy due to a low-pressure system, but we were still able to snorkel and see some fish. The Room was just the right size, and we could relax comfortably. We also enjoyed the private open-air bath on the 5th floor without worrying about time, which made for a very restful experience. The meals were delicious from the jimami potage onward. Breakfast was also just the right amount and very enjoyable. It felt like there were more Western guests than we expected. We heard that an annex is scheduled to be completed next year, so we are really looking forward to it. We would love to stay with you again next time.

We stayed to celebrate a birthday anniversary. The hot spring water was excellent, and the amenities were well stocked. In the bathroom refrigerator, there were small sherbet treats (for heatstroke prevention?), along with water and tea. At dinner, there was a surprise that made us very happy, and we were able to spend this special time in a meaningful way. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as the Reviews said. The food, the interior throughout the property, and the furnishings in the guest rooms were all tastefully chosen, and since there were only six groups of guests, we were able to relax even though it was peak season. The staff’s service was also excellent. It was an Accommodation that made us want to come back again after a long time.

It’s a 1 hour 45 minute trip from the station, and since you can’t miss the one bus, getting there is a bit nerve-racking.\nBut the hot springs are excellent, the food is excellent—everything is top-notch!\nThere are five private baths where you can enjoy free-flowing alkaline simple sulfur Onsen that feels like a beauty serum.\nAnd the cuisine is incredible. Using Shizuoka-certified ingredients, the pairings and cooking methods are creatively arranged, with great care taken so you can enjoy the presentation and textures as well.\nThere are also several carefully selected types of sake to match the dishes—fine dining and Onsen indulgence in the middle of the mountains!\nThank you very much.

The entire Accommodation is covered with tatami mats, making it exceptionally comfortable and relaxing. Some staff members speak English and Chinese, and they always greeted us with a smile while kindly explaining the Facility. The staff in charge of our meals were also very attentive and even helped us crack the crab. What impressed us most was that they remembered our faces and Room number right after check-in. At check-out, they promptly prepared our shoes and luggage. The meals were luxurious and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed high-quality seafood (crab) as well as beef. This time we chose two options—sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. Shabu-shabu is a bit more expensive, but it is well worth the price. The Onsen facilities were excellent: in addition to the indoor bath, the open-air area had a hot bath, a cold bath, and even a sauna—perfect. We were also happy that the hair dryer was ReFa! The post-bath lounge (relaxation area) offered various drinks, light snacks, and massage chairs. Personally, I think this is an outstanding Accommodation that rivals Hoshino Resorts KAI. While the building itself feels slightly dated, I found the quality of the cuisine to be far superior to Hoshino Resorts. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Everything—the cuisine, the Room, the Onsen, the garden, and the music—was wonderful, but above all, the hospitality of the president, the proprietress, and all staff was exceptional. We truly felt their attentive care in every detail. This time we stayed for two nights, spending one night each in the Western and Paragon Rooms. The open-air bath while enjoying the view from our Room and the sound of the vintage audio system were both superb, making it a stay that truly let us forget everyday life. We’re not sure when it will be, but we would love to try staying in the remaining two Rooms as well.

We chose this Accommodation after seeing photos and Reviews saying the food is incredibly delicious. We travel twice a week, and among the many Accommodations we’ve stayed at, the meals here were truly top-class. It really felt like we came to stay at an Accommodation run by a chef. We’re a bit shy, but they spoke with us in a way that wasn’t too close or too distant, so we had a wonderful time. This time it was just the two of us, but next time we’d like to bring our parents as well.

We stayed here for the first time on his birthday, and everything was wonderful. He was delighted and said it was the best Accommodation he has ever stayed at! The teppanyaki meal was delicious, and the Onsen temperature was adjusted so it could be enjoyed even in summer, making it very comfortable and relaxing. Next time, I’d like to visit again with him in winter!

This Hotel made our stay in Shiretoko even more special. This time, we were kindly upgraded to a better Room, and we were truly moved by the unexpected thoughtfulness. The guest Room was spacious and comfortable, with a calm atmosphere that let us fully enjoy our time away. What left the strongest impression was the large public bath. It was roomy and very clean, and soaking at a relaxed pace was the perfect way to ease away the day’s fatigue. All of the staff were consistently kind, attentive, and professional while maintaining just the right sense of distance, which allowed us to feel at ease throughout our stay. The entire Accommodation had a serene ambiance, and we felt it enriched our time in Shiretoko even more. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to return to when we visit Shiretoko again. The welcome service offered plum wine, black vinegar, juice, sweets, and ice cream. We arrived early and were able to relax until dinner even after taking a bath. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and with free-flowing natural hot spring water, we could enjoy the Onsen anytime. The Room was excellent. The food was buffet-style, featuring local vegetables and specialties, along with many delicious dishes made with health in mind. I don’t often get the chance to visit Akita, but this is an Accommodation I would definitely like to return to. Thank you very much.

I stayed here on my birthday last year and had a wonderful time, so this time I stayed for two nights to celebrate my friend’s birthday as well. The meals, the baths, and the hospitality were all excellent—I was completely satisfied! I’m also grateful to the staff member who took care of us. Thank you for bringing the cake to our Room after dinner. I was also happy to receive the flower gift from the Accommodation. We could see the ocean from our Room, and it almost felt like a waste to go out. It’s quite far from Yokohama, but I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you as well for the Diamond Member benefits. We went fishing, but perhaps as a safety precaution, the barbs on the hooks were too small and we couldn’t keep bait on them. Since I usually enjoy fishing, it was disappointing, but next time I’d like to bring my own hooks and bait.

After five years, we finally had the chance to stay at Otogi no Yado Komeya. Over the past five years, we made several Reservations but had to Cancel the Reservation due to circumstances. This time, determined to make it happen, we went on a summer Onsen trip. The Room, hospitality, and cuisine were all outstanding. The free-flowing Onsen in particular felt like a high-quality lotion. We left feeling refreshed in both body and mind. This is our number-one Accommodation that we would love to visit again. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

This was an Onsen trip with my mother and two daughters. Overall, both my mother and I were very satisfied. The price is not cheap, so it goes without saying that the Facility, amenities, and meals were excellent, but above all, the staff’s attentive service and thoughtful hospitality were outstanding. The bath in our Room was wonderful, and we also enjoyed the large public bath that switches between men and women in the morning and at night. The Onsen is sulfur-rich and warmed us up thoroughly. If we have the chance, this is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

This luxury Japanese-style Ryokan with views of Mt. Fuji offered exceptional service. The view from the Room was stunning, and the windows were polished to a shine, which showed true hospitality. Both the in-room bath and the large public bath were comfortable and deeply relaxing. The meals were also delicious. The attentive service made our children happy as well. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.
