We stayed with my son’s family—six of us in two Rooms. There was a free shaved-ice service in the arrival lobby, which delighted the kids. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback was that we couldn’t adjust the air-conditioning temperature very well, but everything else was fine. The large Onsen public bath was also spacious, and we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen. It may have been a circulated bath, as there was a slight chlorine smell, but there was also a sauna and we had a pleasant stay. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style for the first time in a while. Dinner offered all-you-can-eat sushi, sashimi, sukiyaki, steak, and more; breakfast was also very tasty, including local ingredients. I think this is a great Ryokan where three generations can enjoy themselves and everyone can be satisfied.

We stayed in Angel’s Ladder Type A. Just as the Reviews said, the Room, open-air bath, and indoor bath were all extremely satisfying. The meals were excellent—abalone, spiny lobster, and steak. The staff were also very attentive, and we had a very pleasant stay.

As we did last year, we stayed again this year for our cousins’ trip. Unfortunately, the weather was bad last year, but this year it was sunny, so we decided to definitely use Choraku’s pool. At check-in, we enjoyed delicious tea and sweets in the lounge, then rested a bit in our Room before heading to Choraku. We went into the pool (there were lots of children, but we still enjoyed it), and then used Choraku’s open-air bath. After returning, it was time for dinner. The meal was delicious again this time. The main dish at dinner was venison, which had no gamey smell and tasted great. There were also various drinks that paired well with the food, and this time we ordered the wine pairing. The price was very reasonable. After dinner we took a short break, then went back to Choraku to enjoy a mini concert. After returning, we had a nightcap in the lounge, took another bath, and went to bed. In the morning we woke up slowly, took another bath, and then had breakfast. This time we could choose between Japanese-style or Western-style breakfast; since the bread served here is incredibly good, we chose Western-style and asked for all types of bread so the three of us could share a little of each. We had tea in the lounge again, returned to our Room to pack up our belongings—and then it was already time to check out. The staff were pleasant, the Room was clean and comfortable—an easy Hotel to relax in—and since you can also enjoy Choraku’s Facilities and events as well, there’s plenty to do. We had another wonderful stay this time too. We’re planning our cousins’ trip here again next year as well—thank you in advance.

This was our second stay. Last time, I came with my daughter, and the French dinner was so outstanding that I knew we had to return someday. That wish came true, and this time I was able to bring my two sons. Since it was my younger son’s birthday, I ordered a cake through the Hotel website and they kindly prepared it for us. The food is, of course, top-class—both dinner and breakfast are highly recommended. The Onsen was also wonderful, with silky-smooth water. We would love to visit for a third time. I stayed here during the summer vacation of 2024. I couldn’t forget how moved I was, so I came back again after two years. The night view of Nagasaki, the excellent service from the staff, the comfort of the Room, and my satisfaction with breakfast, the restaurant, and the lounge—everything was just as wonderful as last time. The five-day Hotel stay flew by, but I felt refreshed both physically and mentally. Next time, maybe I’ll be even more ambitious and stay for seven days. The bath photos were wonderful, so I made a Reservation. Right by the sea on the island, the location is excellent. Meals were served one after another despite how busy you must have been, so we finished quickly and were able to cut back on alcohol. Aside from the bath and location, it’s a truly quiet and simple place. The bath had a slight chlorine smell. The tea service was excellent. The Room was renovated, and we were able to stay in a comfortable environment.

I made a Reservation the day before my stay after reading the reviews. It was No Meals Included, but the service and atmosphere were great—this was a wonderful Hotel just as described. There is parking, and it’s fairly close to the station, so I recommend it. If I have the chance to visit again, I will definitely stay here. To all the staff, thank you for providing such a comfortable space.

We stayed in a Japanese-modern Room with an open-air bath. The Room had a calming design, and the open-air bath was truly the best. Hearing the sound of the river flowing was so relaxing, it was a bath we wanted to enjoy again and again. The irori cuisine felt quite filling for our elderly parents, but it was very delicious, and we enjoyed it with excitement. And Kiyoshi Yamashita’s mural is breathtaking. You’ll be deeply moved by its warmth, which instantly conveys how much he loved this place. Even after checkout, all the staff saw us off with smiles and waves, making our stay warm and welcoming until the very end. We would definitely like to stay again.

I have stayed at this Accommodation many times, and it was excellent. The meals, baths, views, and Room—everything was completely satisfying. The recent renovation that made it possible to enjoy the view while dining was a nice improvement, but it was a bit uncomfortable making eye contact with guests heading to the baths during the meal.

I had a very comfortable 3-day, 2-night stay in a quiet setting. The meals were delicious, and the nightly mini concerts in the lobby were truly relaxing. As I was traveling solo, it wasn’t cheap, but the Facility and the quality of the cuisine more than justified it. If I had to mention one thing, the toilet paper in the Room was thin and a bit inconvenient to use. It was a wonderful and comfortable Hotel that will likely make me want to return again in summer.

I visited again. Even in the summer heat, many people were sightseeing in Onomichi. This time, I rode the ropeway for the first time—it climbs all at once and was truly thrilling. At a museum along the way to the Hotel, there was an exhibition about cats that felt very soothing. At the café, I enjoyed sweets with their recommended pairing. Dinner featured a variety of ingredients that went perfectly with wine. Breakfast was so delicious that I had a second serving of rice. I also enjoyed the letter room for the first time. I used to study calligraphy, so once I started writing different things with a brush pen, time flew by. It was also fun to see other guests’ creations. Spending summer in Onomichi while sharing everyone’s memories was wonderful too.

Only 10 Rooms on a spacious property. The grove garden right in front of you is a private view (guests cannot enter), giving you the true feel of a vacation home. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the semi-open-air bath in the Room, the open-air bath at the large public bath, and dinner featuring an array of premium ingredients considered luxurious in Japanese cuisine, as well as breakfast with just the right portion size. If we had to make one small request, it would be that the bath towels were a bit thicker.

This was our second stay with children. Last time, we stayed after visiting Disney. Located inside Kasai Rinkai Park, it’s perfect for letting kids play. This Plan included breakfast, and the food was excellent—no surprise given it’s part of the Okura group. Dinner wasn’t included in the Plan, but we used the restaurant and it was delicious as well. The large public bath was clean and spacious. There aren’t many Hotels in Tokyo with such a large bath, so it was very relaxing. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially to our child. They also stored our luggage on both check-in and check-out days, and we could rest in the lobby and reorganize our bags, which was a big help while spending time in the park with our child. I had wanted, at least once, to step into “Salon Yamasato,” the private lobby lounge of Koshinosato—I've felt that way for the past 10 years. As we reached our 60th birthdays as a couple, we decided to make a Reservation and treat ourselves at this milestone. We truly loved the cuisine, amenities, and atmosphere. I was deeply impressed by the high-quality meals—it was an Accommodation with impeccable hospitality in every way. Also, the macarons and gelato at Kaho’s salon were absolutely top-class delicious—I couldn’t stop eating them. The flavor stayed with me, and I kept wondering what brand they were. It made me strongly want to come back again. Thank you very much. The concierge staff were also incredibly kind—simply wonderful.

We were welcomed with the staff’s bright smiles at check-in. The Room was spacious and clean. As always, no matter where we met them, the staff greeted us with a smile, and the team at the dinner venue did as well. Their smiles are truly warm hospitality.

Close to the stone steps, we were able to leave our luggage before check-in and enjoy exploring the area. The bath water temperature was just right, so we could relax and soak for a long time. Of course, the hot spring quality was excellent. The changing Room was also very clean and comfortable. The meals were filling, and we were very satisfied. I forgot to mention this to the staff when checking out, but the TV remote in the Room didn’t work—possibly due to dead batteries—so we operated it using the buttons on the TV itself.

We enjoyed a crab kaiseki meal, and every dish was carefully prepared and truly delicious, allowing us to fully savor the winter flavors of the San’in region. The Room was equipped with a massage chair, so after warming up in the Onsen we could relax and loosen up at our own pace, making our stay very comfortable. It felt as though the fatigue from our trip simply melted away, and we appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. When we arrived by car, three staff members welcomed us, and their warm greeting immediately brought a smile to our faces. Throughout our stay, every staff member was courteous and pleasant, which made us feel at ease. We felt that the excellent hospitality further enhances this Accommodation’s appeal. It was a highly satisfying stay where both body and mind could truly rest. We would love to visit again.

I had dinner at the luxury auberge VILLA COMMUNICO in Nara. The location is at the foot (or maybe halfway up?) Mt. Wakakusa; it’s doable on foot, but a car is recommended. From the restaurant, Mt. Wakakusa is directly across the road, with deer here and there—an unmistakably Nara-like view. The Hotel as a whole is a renovated traditional Japanese house, creating a stylish space that still feels steeped in history. With only five rooms in total, it has a wonderfully secluded, hideaway atmosphere. Dinner starts all at once at 18:30. Guests gather in the second-floor lounge at 18:00 and relax with pre-meal tea while enjoying views of Mt. Wakakusa. When it’s time, you move down to the first floor. On entering, there’s an iconic fireplace and counter on the left. The first course is eaten standing while listening to the chef’s explanation—an unexpectedly unique experience. Cucumber, elderflower / Yamato jidori chicken, nasturtium Freshly made mozzarella, caviar Bonito, molokhia (jute mallow), okra Oyster, pine nuts, chives Japanese duck (Yamato-gamo), pumpkin, truffle Flounder, Manganji chili pepper, red-legged shrimp Sakaeya aged sirloin of culled Japanese Black wagyu Fig, blueberry, juniper berry Both the presentation and flavors were excellent. In particular, the dish combining bonito with molokhia and okra was outstanding. Courses are basically served simultaneously for everyone and paced to match slower diners overall, so dinner progresses at a leisurely speed. If you eat quickly, be aware there may be some downtime between courses.

I stayed here last July with my wife, and in October with my mother and aunt. This was our third stay, at the request of my mother and aunt who wanted to visit again. As with the previous two stays, we had a wonderful time from check-in to check-out. Thank you again to all the staff.
