Mimata Onsen was discovered in the late Edo period, in the first year of Genji (1864), and has been a quiet hot spring retreat along the Mimata River for about 150 years. With its abundant water flow, the silky smooth Onsen gently envelops your skin, earning it the name "Beauty Skin Onsen." True to its name, it is highly effective for skin beautification, rich in metasilicic acid, which is beneficial for skin keratinization and hydration. Additionally, its high pH level promotes excellent skin regeneration effects. In the 2023 Onsen General Election, it was awarded first place in the "Smooth Skin Category" across The whole country. For meals, we offer seafood from the Sea of Japan, mountain delicacies such as locally harvested vegetables and wild plants, and modestly, our homegrown vegetables. We look forward to welcoming you with heartfelt cuisine.
An exceptional location with a breathtaking view of Toba Bay. Enjoy three distinct hot spring experiences: "Kazami no Yu" featuring rock baths, hinoki baths, and pot baths; "Misaki no Yu," an open-air bath by the seaside; and "Nagisa no Yu," offering a spa-like atmosphere. Relax and savor the flavors of Ise-Shima.
20 minutes by car from JR Kojima Station, this prime location offers a stunning Seto Inland Sea beach right in front. The accommodations range from Japanese, Western, and Japanese-Western style rooms to family rooms, suites, and a Toy Kingdom-themed room. Just a few minutes' drive to the popular "Toy Kingdom" for children, and convenient access to Naoshima, known as an art island. In summer, enjoy swimming at Shibukawa Beach right in front.
Just a 60-minute drive from Fukuoka City, you can arrive at Furuyu Onsen, a serene and nature-rich hot spring area surrounded by mountains with the Kase River at its center. Enjoy a peaceful stroll along the riverside while listening to the gentle flow of the river and the chirping of wild birds. Our Ryokan is located in the heart of the Onsen town, with the Kase River flowing right in front. From the river-facing Rooms, you can enjoy the view of the flowing river, while the mountain-facing Rooms offer a tranquil countryside Onsen town scenery. Our Rooms mainly feature traditional Japanese-style tatami rooms, but we also offer two unique concept Rooms: one with a hammock for enjoying reading and another equipped with a projector for watching videos on a large screen. Our Onsen is the only one in Furuyu Onsen with a tatami bath, where the washing area is covered with tatami mats, providing a pleasant texture underfoot. This feature ensures a safe and comfortable experience for small children and elderly guests alike. The bath includes two types of water: the characteristic "lukewarm water" of Furuyu Onsen and a "hot water" bath heated from the Onsen. Alternating between the two enhances the warm and relaxing feeling after bathing. The highlight of your stay will undoubtedly be the cuisine. Enjoy a luxurious kaiseki meal featuring sukiyaki made with premium Saga beef (a shabu-shabu Plan is also available). Be sure to savor our signature appetizers as well. Additionally, our Ryokan's specialty, kawara soba, is highly popular, and we recommend choosing a Plan that includes it. This is a small, cozy Onsen Ryokan perfect for those who want to relax and unwind. We look forward to welcoming you.
