SAKIA is a redevelopment Facility located on the site of the former Ozaki Elementary School in Awaji City, which closed in 2014. It began in March 2022 as a regional community Facility in collaboration with "Frogs FARM ATMOSPHERE," a local revitalization initiative based on food from Awaji Island. SAKIA aims to "widely promote the charm of Awaji Island," "foster integration within and beyond the island," and "preserve traditions," serving as a hub Facility for local revitalization to energize the island and shape its future. With themes of "Food, Art, and Learning," it offers a variety of content. In April 2024, SAKIA reopened with newly added accommodations, transforming into a "well-being Facility" that supports diverse ways of working and spending time! Additionally, it is increasingly being utilized by companies for workations. We are committed to further energizing Awaji Island.

As you open the entrance, you'll find a dirt floor area leading to the living room, along with a traditional Japanese-style room featuring a raised tatami area and a tokonoma, allowing you to enjoy the charm of a Japanese house. Yuda Onsen is a historic Onsen that has existed for about 810 years, with a legend called the "White Fox Legend," which tells of an injured white fox that healed its wounds by soaking in the hot springs every night. Within walking distance, there are five footbath spots, making a footbath tour highly recommended! Around the town, you can also find six types of adorable "beckoning fox" statues, a pure white "fox mailbox," and manhole covers illustrated with the White Fox Legend.
