Tsuchiya-tei once supported local healthcare as the Tsuchiya Internal Medicine Clinic during the Meiji period. The former clinic space now serves as reception for Tsuchiya-tei and as the shop for Miyake Shoten Café & Workshop. The property stretches 45 meters from south to north, from the main house to the storehouse, and accommodates up to three groups per day—each with its own private entrance. There are three Rooms, each connected to Kurashiki’s townscape: “Honmachi Street Accommodation” (2–4 guests) facing Honmachi-dori, a former old highway; “Alley Accommodation” (2–4 guests) located at the end of one of Kurashiki’s most iconic alleys; and “Storehouse Accommodation” (2 guests) overlooking the riverside of the Kurashiki River that runs through the Bikan Historical Quarter.
